What trope are you tired of seeing in adult games?

I am tired of the patreon schemes where the game is "in devolpment" for 3 years and all the dev does is tease you the whole time. Then they get bored of the game and drop a few real scenes in the last update or two then wrap it up to move on to the next cash cow. I just want devs to release shorter games that have decent content so I am not waiting for months to finally bang something. But of course that doesnt make as much money so oh well.

stuff I've seen that I'm not too fond of (some are tropes, some are not)
- MC with big dick nrg
- 90% of the female cast have volleyball sized breasts
- The "dumb and naive" women are the only ones who receive cunnilingus
- Not a trope, but please proofread your dialogue or get someone else to do it
- There's always a "quirky" archetype, which I find to be annoying and forced
- "Goth/Emo/Punk" archetypes. As a former scene kid, I like my "alt" girls, but it's just blatant when they're thrown in for the sake of diversity. I'd hate to be the filthy gatekeeper elitist, but most of these characters aren't even what the developers were aiming for. You cannot use the archetypes interchangeably, because their cultures are vastly different
- Using real porn in a 3D or 2D game. If I wanted to see real porn, I'd just go to Pornhub

Wow, I've read every single message on this thread. As a developer, this will help with my game development so thank you for all your input! Everyone has their own particular brand of kink but I've noticed there are a lot of common threads here and will be taking them to heart in future development.
As a player, I haven't formed too many opinions regarding tired tropes.

VN's that dialogue on and on and on. Either make a short game with frequent sex scenes or a real story with interesting dialogue. But If I can literally click through 2 hours worth of dialogue reading and still know exactly what's going on in the story then trim that stuff down. Quit padding your work to make that sweet sweet Patreon cash! Write a reasonably length story and wrap it up in a reasonable timeframe then go on to another story.

"Open world" games as its been said here before, yes fill the world up with stuff to do so they arent completely empty. Also, maybe have some sort of questing system so I don't spend 45 minutes wandering around clicking on EVERY F-ING thing to move forward the quest because the quest dialogue was utterly cryptic in saying what you were supposed to do.

couldn't agree more. i mean whenever you play a game you know that at the end you are gonna get all of those girls together in a harem. There should be love between characters even when one of them is not the main character. there should be friends and enemies . there should be characters that you may never get to fuck. there should be characters which are difficult to get and you must sacrifice something to get them.
All these games are so WIN-WIN situation. its like you have the best dick in the world and everyone else just exists to get fucked by you and they have no story of their own.
lol yeah. perfect characters are so common. some should be fat. some should be skinny . some should love your dick and some should just prefer other characters over you. its not fun when every character is so beautiful with perfect round ass and huge boobs.

Magical girls. Probably a pointless question, but what is this trope even? Or to be more accurate, why are Japanese games into super-femmy shit? I think the part I hate the most is the high heels in combat. Those things are bad for your feet just walking around, who in their right mind would fight in high heels? I see this a lot in mainstream games too, and I hate it so much.

Siblings, like the mc having older sisters/step-sisters. It's a bit too unrealistic for me and it becomes boring seeing this same interaction so many times.

summarize it pretty well. I'm confused, what's super-femmy? Magical Girls? That's their whole appeal. They're meant to appeal to a certain age group of girls and adults who like the cutesy look. You could probably draw parallels with anthropomorphic animals, which seem to be popular among western audiences.
As for the high heels thing, I agree, but I don't think it's specifically a Japanese thing. American comic heroines for decades have had high heels. Just look at Wonder Woman.
No offense, but the way your sentences are strung together is very confusing.
What, like having sex with siblings or just having siblings in general? Outside of games with incest content, I almost never see them.

I understand what a trope is, what bothers me is how more... explicitly gendered Japanese animation seems to be. I mean, in your example, furries come in all flavors. Male, female, feminine, masculine, gay, straight. Magical girls... well, the name of the trope speaks for itself, and I've never heard of a magical boy.
Noted, though I don't know what to make of that observation. Maybe that's just what I sound like I'm ranting on a topic I don't understand at like 3AM.
The male black best friend. Having friends is good, but if the only reason you're putting them in there is to convince others that you aren't a racist, just stop. If you really want to be inclusive, how about making the MC the black male for once?

Oh I can make a whole list in response to the original question.
- Succubus mechanics for monstergirls. I've come to despise this subgenre of monstergirl related games, which are almost exclusively h-scenes on loss, combined with a submissive weakass mc, and a usually lethal or otherwise game-ending consequence of sex scenes. I don't play power-fantasy games to be humiliated, thanks.
- Poorly written mind control. If you can make it unique and creative, do it. If not, don't even touch it.
- Bland personalities/characters. A criticism that's generally valid for everything, but particularly noticeable after you played enough VNs.

The male equivalent of a magical girl would be Kamen rider and Super Sentai type of shows. I'm not too sure what that genre is called though (maybe toku?). Anyhow, I get where you're coming from, but I feel like that's less of a Japan thing than it is a global thing. Like when's the last time you seen a Disney Prince™ movie? The question shouldn't be why there isn't a magical boy, but whether there is enough interest to make one.
To elaborate on my earlier post, I was confused whether you wanted to discuss high heels, magical girls, "super-femmy shit", all of these, none of these, or something entirely different. Like I agree that magical girls are very engendered, but I'm not sure about Japanese games being super-femmy, or what you mean by super-femmy. I was also unsure whether the high heels thing was related to magical girls or Japanese games, because it's an entire trope on its own.

I think most of what are listed here are exactly what I dislike. I could go with less Male MC that left home and have just return back home trope. And weirdly I'm ok with that trope when it's a Female MC. I guess it's a novel idea when you switch the gender, and the tired trope suddenly become a lot more interesting.
I dislike the male harem games for the exactly same reason. It's overused. The last one I tried that I liked, the MC was a dragon. That was actually pretty interesting.

These are the things that make me cringe, and want to throw the game away.
- Having the player locked into a route.
- Multiple protagonists / male perspective in female protag ntr.
- Not having replayable scenes (not meaning a recollection room).
- When the male protag / male characters are all ripped and handsome.
- Anything involving physical pain or the threat of it. I mean wtf.

Not really tired because I mostly don't care. But when a I see a VN game with 18 yo shota preeten boy lurking on his Watermelon- breast-sized-with-dominant-severe-stance-MILF-landlaby, I can't repress thinking "oh, yet an another one...".

Not really a trope but I hate games where I have to lose to have sex.

I'd like to counter that with the idea that its ok for the boy to be shorter than the mom and still be 18. Genetics is a bitch, and know personally some moms that are ~5'9, while their sons are ~5'4, skinny, and fully grown adults. I'm straight, but I think its hot as fuck to see a shorter/skinnier guy with average/larger women. IRL porn has so many examples of 'step mother' porn where the mom is barely 5-10 years older than the guy, its nice to have that variety in games where the teen is actually looks like it could be her son.
If you want to get down to it... there's a LOT more games where the guy is 18, buff as fuck, has a giant horse cock, than there are where the guy is small and might be mistaken for underage.
I do agree that there are too many hourglass shaped women with giant G+ sized tits (that are immune to gravity) and giant asses as well. India Summer (porn star) is an example of an extremely attractive/successful 'milf' that doesn't need giant tits to be attractive.
