Actually, not 10 minutes before your initial post making light of the idea of inciting this controversy someone actually did say exactly that little nugget of intolerance. So when you go ahead and defend it, I get rightly offended, and tell you to fuck off. I'm sure you mean well, but what you've just done is regurgitate the exact argument Mike Pence would make when he signs the bill/order that rounds up anyone who isn't his idea of perfectly hetero and puts them into re-education camps to justify his actions.

The human species has evolved beyond the scope of evolution. I know that's a difficult concept to grasp, but we have. We no longer need every human being on the planet to reproduce. We use science and technology to fight off disease and to even alter genetics in some small ways. We support those born with handicaps, we take advantage of evolution itself in order to protect our species. We may be born with codes that make up what we are, but through nurture we become something greater than the sum of our parts.

I understand that the Mike Pence scenario is unlikely, but as I stated earlier, as long as we are tolerant of intolerance, we allow it to grow. When it grows unchecked, tolerance itself will die. Every time you see intolerance, whether it be over skin colour, culture, religion, sexuality, perceived gender status, or literally any other thing that doesn't inherently harm other human beings, you should stand up to counter it.
