What the hell is wrong with some of you on this forum?
Is it so hard to understand that it's going to be almost like a different/new game? For god's sake if there are games that with a simple change they don't let you use the previous saves, imagine one with a different story xD it wouldn't make any sense.

When they do that where it requires a restart anywhere NEAR this far in I delete and drop support if I am a Patreon supporter.

When devs change something that make old saves not work this far in. Frees up space on my computer as I'm not going to start all the way back.

But are you reading what you wrote? do you realize that these are games IN DEVELOPMENT? Do you know what that means? Can you imagine playing The Witcher 3 while the team develops it and every time they make changes, you have to start over and complain? that is how ridiculous your comment is, with all due respect, they are not finished games, it is normal for those things to happen

Definitely done with this one. It WAS abandoned and a new one with the same name and a similar story started. Decent devs have their shit together enough to have their basics fairly early on. Only a crazy person would go through HOURS worth of play time and be willing to start over. I say screw that. I HAVE dropped support ($5 and $10/month) for that. One thing if it's relatively early on, but not OK when there are hours of playtime invested. Besides, you have to go through the start and in MOST adult games very early is boring AF. Of course I don't remember as it's been 9. Fucking. Months. Since an update. Unacceptable.

Most of the time skip is greyed out and Ctrl doesn't work. I just say fuck it. If a dev can't be assed to get it right in the first few months I say the hell with them. I'm not playing back hours and probably a different result. Been so long I almost forgot about this game anyway. As far as I'm concerned it's abandoned. And the dev can GTH as any dev who abandons a game.
More than 3 months no updates - should be marked abandoned and the dev banned from here and Patreon.
