It's a new game.

I have no idea if there was a game with the exact same name.

Edit: Yea, to be honest I was quite shocked after I saw "How it all began" a few days ago.

I thought, "Oh no, someone already got the name"
When I see title My heart is WTF , first I thing " click beit or what " Than I undrstant but , you need New tittle and new name games , because every one know this game :) Not need Remake , Mybe cristmiss but not remake or Where it all began Seazon 3 mybe.

I only exposed facts. You look smart enough to draw your own conclusions about the future of this game.
No you expressed a weak opinion. I was interested in the basis of that opinion. You obviously have failed to support yours. It matters not how long something takes to create if the result justifies the time and effort. If you haven't bothered to assess the result then your opinion is irrelevant.

From your response I suspect you haven't bothered to take the time to play the update? Yes or no?

new story? really? i was kinda enjoying Katie's(or is it Kate?) route from the last game. i wonder how drastically the characters are changed. is the story entirely rewritten?
Katie's childhood scene where she was playing with a stray cat so she could pretend to have a friend broke my heart. It also kind of broke my empathy for the MC when I found out what they did to her teddy bear. I hope that they keep that in.

Nice job folks.
It appears that Ocean has abandoned this forum.
I did not.
It takes a little more to scare me.

And most concerns that are stated here are totally valid.
The first update took way too long.

I can totally understand the doubts, etc.
Sure, some could phrase them nicer cause in the end I'm still just a human like everyone else.

And ofc, there's the occasional "Milker" comment but I don't care about that.
The word "Milker" has lost its meaning quite some time ago in this forum.

Maybe some will understand my situation a little better if they read this POST and that I wasn't just slurping Hurricane Cocktails in some bar instead of developing.

And the Rework was necessary. It wasn't about the visuals but about the characters, events, and flow.
The old Miru was victim to an optional fetish. The characters behaved in a very weird way. (Leia & Helen's reactions on MCs return, etc.)

And also how everything with Katie went down.

The new love routes for the characters are so much deeper and more sensuous.
Alone one update with a Katie or Dana date will have so much more character and 'reason' to it.
It will be slower but it will also mean so much more.

And AVN's should give you something porn can't. A 'real' connection.

I personally dislike reworks. That's why I get that people are irritated.
But it had to be done.
You can't build a satisfying story on a weak foundation.

I've always tried to assess Ocean's work with an objective mind, so in that sense I'm not one of his defenders, but I'm curious. Have you bothered to play the reboot?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Because if you haven't you have no basis to consider that your words have any meaning at all.
That was the most intellectually dishonest thing I've seen posted in quite a while. No one needs to play anything in order to come to a similar conclusion, nor just an opinion on it. Even leaving common sense aside, there are dozens of "reworked" and "remakes" on this site for comparison.

By all means, point to another case of a project under development for 3 years, with 2 reworks, and ridiculously long dev times, that you must have played all the reworks in order to have an opinion on whether or not it's worth it. Not to mention the updates must compete for time with yet another project that also has crazy long dev times.
Enquiring minds want to know.

No one is questioning the level of his talent, and he's quite talented, but they don't need to in order to question the length of time of this project in conjuncture with the 2 reworks.

How about this: If this were a case of someone building say...a car, and they posted pictures of it on patreon asking for support for his project, and all these car guys are like "this is amaze balls! Lets support him! Can't wait to see more!" Then...3 years later and the car has been partially torn down once, then completely torn down and rebuilt from scratch. And on top of all that, he's using that support money for the first car building another beautiful car and now you have to wait even longer. Do you think that maybe then they might have the right to look at that and say...."3 years? 2 rebuilds? Just at the engine rebuild now? Nah I'm good."?

Edit: Just thought I'd go ahead and make my stance known on it. I like his work. I love Summers Gone. I'll likely stick around to see how this goes, but I'm not going to knock on anyone else for not doing that. Just saying.

This story has never been told in first person static perspective. The characters have switched perspectives from the beginning of the game and sometimes you can hear their thoughts or see their past which makes it an omniscient perspective. In short, the MC is not the only pov character.
So male protagonist is just a pseudo tag and has no weight behind it.
He was asking about the scene which is going to come and not the past bulshit.

We can speak for months about how good the renders are, how much the characters improved from previous versions, but if a release date becomes a "weak opinion", i really don't know of what you are speaking about. You love the game, you want support the development, good for you, i am not here to convince you to do otherwise but try to not be completely blind. And for reply about your question, yes i played both his games , i have been his supporter from before he decided to take the lead of SG but i am not anymore because it's a waste of time and resources develop 2 games at the same time without considering the remakes of both games... And just be clear, this last part it's just my opinion, not a fact. :ROFLMAO:

Fantastic change (y)(y)(y) I am still a fan of the old version but rework is unrivaled (y)(y)(y)
Miru is beautiful like a dream. Her and MC dialogues are epic.
Repeated here the question "why a rework" it is at least lack of respect for dev seeing a splendid work effect.

I agree with you that the attitudes and behavior of the characters in the beginning of the game made less and less sense as the game went on and I will not elaborate because I'm sure that you have heard about these incongruities ad nausium. I guess what I would like to ask is if you are going to be able to keep assets or scenes from the later part of the first game to help you complete further updates. If you scrap everything, even the good stuff, it may be like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. However, I understand well the temptation to start fresh and work forward without looking back. There is also the concern that reusing content may enrage some people who seem to want devs that they support financially to be constantly bleeding for their art or accuse them of the dreaded milking. If you do need to create the whole game again with original content, I wish you good fortune. It seems like it will be a mammoth project, but you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time.

Wow. You've played the rework of WIAB and don't see the value as worth the time and investment. Okay then we can agree to disagree. This is all subjective opinion, but neither you nor I nor anyone other than Ocean decides what goes in a release. Dates move in the real world for many reasons. When a release comes out, each of us has to decide if the time and investment was worth it. You think the content wasn't worth the wait, I'm on the other side. Fair enough.

To be fair, 15 mins worth of content, after such a long wait, not really worth the wait. Had this been up to .6 then sure, it was worth it. But as of now, given the new release, as tempted as I am to enjoy this game, I'm putting this game on the back burner until the releases are bigger in content and not 15 minute endevours.
