Never liked WiAB (the old one)... to me it was a huge mess.
The new approach seems be more "clean" like Ocean has a plan for the game.
But i didnt liked it either the first two chapters. Dunno... all characters know each other but i dont know shit about them. Everything is foggy. I dont like it if a story starts like this. Like dialogues that goes like this "you know why i hate you" "yes i know and iam sorry" bla bla... well... i wanna know too? Cause i dont.
So... yeah... was annoying like shit. With chapters 3 and some connected dots with the first 2 chapters i would say, i at least know enough to get most characters and what they care about. Which is just essencial for me. If chapter 3 would deliver "more" too it, i would have just dropped the game. But all in all, now the game has my attention. I like Oceans style, how the games look and how they are written. Summers Gone is better in many regards, but WiAB caught a little up to it, enough so that i want to know how it goes on with the next update.
Hopefully the update shedule decrease a bit... for both games btw. I admit, i am not a fan of the fact that ocean is doing both games at the same time, and i think its one of the reasons why the update shedule is so long. Would be better he focused on one game i think... But maybe he just cant, needs the "distraction" for himself too, to create something different then the same game over years.
Well it is what it is, WiAB wasnt a game that i liked so far, now iam at least way more interested.
LEts see when the next update comes out for SG and WiAB... the waiting time for both were to long in my book but the updates were good ones. Not exactly "worth" the long wait, for that there should have been more content over all. But its way more than the average DEV delivers to be fair. And the quality is just top notch, especially for SG.
Ocean had to overcome some obstacles as i know, he moved, some hardware issues and so on... and he said the upcoming work should run "smoother" lets see how that goes...
