"They" is also used, if the gender is unknown, it's confusing for non native speakers and they just assume you know it, not very inclusive if you ask me, but you didn't.

It's actually the case that English is not my native language and that's why I chose the polite form. And since I don't know who is actually developing this game, I chose OceanLabs as the "publisher" (as a generic term, so to speak).
