OG Miru is a monster. New Miru is waifu material. Katie is my fav, but Miru is better long term relationship material.

How exactly is a nymphomaniac with violent tendencies and constant threats against you could be the best material for a long term relationship? To each his own I suppose and yet I'm curious as to why do you think she's good for a long term relationship because my point of view is somewhat different.

Because if you treat the new Miru right, she will become the most loyal friend, the sexiest, insatiable and adventurous partner, the one who will always watch your back and will die for you. Not to mention she's gorgeous. And in the meantime, you can play MMORPG with her. Of course she is perfect waifu material.

She's only violent for good reasons, for example when Willam starts to be a bigger jerk than an death star. But it's not like she is on the transmiting end of daily domestic violence and William gets his daily dose of new bruises...

In my opinion it's too early to judge her loyalty (only 3 chapters have passed). In the future we will have plenty of opportunities to test her loyalty and see how faithful she is to our protagonist and whether you can really trust her with your back. "Adventurous" - I'm not sure what you mean by that. I noticed that she likes to get involved in other people's business, so maybe that's what you mean? "Gorgeous" - yeah, like most of the LI's in Ocean's games, thanks to him for that. "Gamer Girl" - you're a gamer, so having her share your hobby gives you satisfaction, it's understandable. What do you think about the disparity in their sex drive or her violent tendencies?
Maybe it's just my imagination, but based on their dialogues I get the impression that Miru has a high propensity for violence. If you think your partner is behaving inappropriately, you can talk to them calmly about it and solve your problems. Instead, every time the protagonist does something Miru doesn't like he gets threatened. This kind of situation feels a bit unnatural to me. In the previous version you were free to do as you please - it was up to you to be a jerk or try to be a good guy, no Miru told you how you should behave. I have the impression that such situations in the current version of this game are created on purpose so that Miru can rush forward on a white horse and put our arrogant asshole protagonist in his place, even when he has done nothing wrong (such as the scene in the pool or meeting Dana in the bar).

I see Miru's character kind of like a specific type of anime character. Which might make sense since Ocean named Nami after the character with the same name from One Piece. In anime, you'll often see the male protagonist get beat to a pulp for innocently doing stupid shit. So maybe that's where Miru comes from.

For me, the trait of loyalty has two sides. The first is fidelity in relationships: she does not cheat or do anything with other without the permission of the MC. Ocean seemed to reassure us of this, or at least repeated several times, that NTR is completely avoidable, even if it's turned on. You will have to constantly neglect Miru and encourage her to the idea of an open relationship so that she will start doing NTR things.
Another part of her loyalty is that she takes the MC's side in his business and watches his back. Until recent she does just that, she helps MC reunite with his family, smooth things out in relationships with "old friends", and generally helps him with everything. We'll see what happens next.
Adventurous - I mean she's creative and likes to experiment sexually, like sudden public sex in the gym shower. MC won't get bored with her.
Disparity in their sex drive? C'mon, this isn't Nika, and the game isn't SG, this is Willie "The Snake" Zane. He will boink all the female population of the Wollust if he has to. He's just playing hard to get and teasing her, but the limpy wormy is definitely not his case.
Violent tendencies? I'm not sure if I follow. Do you mean she punches him from time to time or plays an evil demon? This is part of their foreplay, I guess. She's just pretending to be an angry dominant girlfriend. And given her height and build compared to him, it looks simply comical.
If she really wanted to hurt this meatbag she would have to hit him in the nuts, neck, eyes or jaw, something like that. Otherwise she will just simply bounce off him like a ping-pong ball.
But yeah, she keeps an eye on him and lets him know when he's being a complete asshole. And I am absolutely sure that she is doing this with his full unspoken consent and he is glad that he has someone next to him who can tame his temper. A guy who just left the most important people in his life and never looked back will not put up with the rudeness of a girlfriend, even one as cute as Miru, unless he himself wants it and does not consider it rude or violent.

Agree. I can't wait to discover that all kids in SG are William's kids... If we get to guide W. Zane
through his adventures, those kids are 100% all his...

Could you recall a situation of conflict between the MC and someone else where Miru would take the MC's side? So far I see Miru taking the side of his opponent without even hearing the full stories of both sides (I'm talking about the situation with Katie for example).
Maybe the MC is getting a little bored of her. Can you imagine having sex with the same woman 3 times a day, 7 days a week for five years? Under those circumstances, I'm surprised he can even get it up for her. Miru says that sex with the MC is good but it doesn't happen as often as she would like, you can see this dialogue several times during the game.
Regarding her violent tendencies, do you think it's a kind of femdom game between them? That's a pretty interesting theory, even though I see the situation differently, but at least I understand how you see it.
Regarding her fighting potential - you're wrong to think that she can't overpower an opponent who is much bigger than her. In Ocean's universe, knowledge of martial arts gives you super strength and speed and allows you to ignore such a minor factor as the difference in height and size (you can see it in the example of Ayua or Miru from the old version).
I'm interested in your last sentence. Do you think that the fact that he ran away from home is a manifestation of his strong will and determination? I thought he ran away from home because he was a coward and selfish. He decided to run away from the problem instead of facing it head on and ended up making more trouble for himself and his family.

Nope. Ocean would have to turn WiAB into a kinetic novel for that to happen. My William isn't touching any female in this game not named Katie or Miru. Maybe Daphne. I find all plus sized women in this very unattractive.

I just passed that point in my playthrough (Katie, Miru & William on the sofa, not-watching the show)
It's clear to me that Miru is taking Katie's side to get close to her. She's mirroring Katie, which makes Katie subconsciously like her. Later, William asks Miru about her impression, and she says Katie will tell her (what Leia wants) when they get closer.
To me, this means Miru is entirely on-board with William.
This is up to the player, I think. Do you want an open relationship because your William is bored with Miru?
And yes, Miru's libido is much higher, and William's refraction period is longer. They've been together over 5 years now, and seem to make it work.
This I'm not clear on either. Early on, William made it seem that he escaped a toxic environment. Yet now, it seems he ran away because of something he did to Katie. To be honest, this style of storytelling frustrates me. Everybody knows what went on, except for the player.
Though, about facing it head-on... He was 16 when he ran away. How much power does a 16-year-old have?

Only Miru for me, unless there's a reason to break up with her. My William doesn't cheat, even if he'd like to have a bit more sexual variety. (At least, I hope my William doesn't cheat, and there isn't some unavoidable event.)

Whatever happens im sure there will be a "canon" ending for wiab which will mater for SG no matter our choices in wiab.
