I have post beta version, so there is no information about saves not working in my changelog and I am not Renpy expert. There is information that bugs from beta version are fixed. I didn't notice the second picture you posted. I didn't look at the screen and insta clicked through it, so didn't even notice that there is something. I thought that forum is for me to give feedback and ask questions.

The picture I have posted is the first thing that appears after starting the renpy client - even before the main menu is visible.

I don't know if you are playing on android or a compressed version, maybe the compressor/porter has messed up something or just decided that this kind of information is overrated ...

It's because there was an error made in the patch. Someone posted a fixed patch some pages ago that you can try to find, I already deleted the game so I sadly can't help you.

I'm still not far in, and all these characters are just confusing me further. I'm feeling frustrated by the MC knowing who all these people are, but then talking in vague terms about people and their history together.

100% absolutely it is supposed to be Leia = Twin Sister


But Ocean is fucked if Patron gets even the smallest whiff of incest (step or adopted or anything)
So the incest relations have to be added by a patch and Ocean MUST pretend he knows nothing of it
His income is at risk otherwise.

This game does not support incest, and never will.

The version containing incest is the result of fan modification ( Or an unknown existence ) .

The description you see in the game description is written by the user.

So it's up to you which version you want to play, the original version or the fan mod.

Ever so slightly but Ocean has stated the story will not differ that much from the original version.

Confirmed, Lei and Katie are the MC's sisters and Helen is his mother. The patch is official from Ocean. This is an incest story and has not changed.

Ocean would never admit it.

Whether this patch was issued by "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", or a fan, or a fan who got the information from "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", we will never know the truth (maybe)

Incest is official...she is his sister (and has a younger sister and his mother is there also), the patch is official. Anyone else here is just being silly playing on words on a long-standing joke. Without the patch, we all know why they are not related...cos reasons.

Downloaded and installed the patch for when I get home from work tonight. I'm curious to see if my impression improves and the vagueness feels less frustrating. At least with the people being family, the MC has a reason to go back to (what seems like) a toxic environment.

Correct, yes he does...and yes, it very much is, for numerous reasons.
