Ocean's already trimmed all the bushes we can see, the cats are all purring in the sun, just not getting enough exercising :coffee::whistle:

Edit: So, a new gym membership?
I had the worst workout ever this morning and I'm still not over it. I moved maybe 60 percent of my normal workload. I left the gym with my head held down.
I was soooooo close.

More importantly, there is a cool Katie render.

More importantly, a Gog page means Ocean's getting much closer, he noramlly waits to the last minute for that stuff, with steam the priority.

Or maybe WIAB's wishlist is too low?

Who knows? But it's a positive step in my mind. As is th upgrade to the two 8TB SSD's. If nothing else, that's a pretty significant improvement. I highly approve.
I am fascinated by your perception filter. And I recognize that it is envy, I wish I could be so optimistic.
As for the SSD, the HDD data is missing, I hope he has ordered at least a 30 tb one (although SSDs have become more reliable, they will never reach the reliability level of a robust HDD).

The speed of access in my situation with sample libraries tells me the SSD's are a great step forward. But yeah, massive backup storage is essential.

He already works with SSDs, and they are not too old to say that speed is a factor. Maybe you forgot when not long ago one of his SSD's got punctured and everyone in the SG thread thought they were going to teach him how to do things (because he didn't have a pen drive with windows).

Oh yeah I remember - but a large enough one to fit all his assets on is different from a largish working one with the assets loading of a HDD. When previewing stuff like swapping out clothing assets, trying different hairstyles etc, I'm sure the time saving will be noticeable.

Backups are always essential, always. I know he'll most likely have days where he does separate manual backups on top of the scheduled ones, because there's so much of his life tied to that data now.

About the perception thing, you had more than one disappointment in the process. I'm optimistic for storepages because it means I'll soon be able to buy. I don't really have anything to add, just that the project's still moving forward, and is more developed than it was before Christmas, we need a bit of both perspectives for a balanced view as well.

In principle there are things to talk about, but first of all: workstation in February (and better wait until it is reality)
This is what I meant when I mentioned June as a probable date. Ocean has a tendency to be overly optimistic when delivering news.
You are right, still, it feels to me like the update is taking shape and heading to the final touches, I know still has animations and post processing but I got the feeling that it has momentum.

EDIT: 4200 render for WiaB. Given that Ocean is as accurate as a druken man trying to piss in the toilet. I will say 4500 to 5000 and, with is insane and will delay the update even further.

He can be healthy as much as he want. But I know where he lives and I know how the gym bros are there. He's one of them and that explains a lot to me. That's all I said.
I am curious what he being a gym bro as to do with anything ?

The 4200 renders is quite credible for me, I had already comented that he had told me 4000 renders, even when he said he had to do 1300 in 29 days, that was ~3900 with the data we already had. It is not a big surprise that he added 200 more renders.

I think cloud storage is more viable, as soon as a render is created it will be stored on OneDrive, for example.

You make a good point. But I imagine that he will want to play with his new toy, and them 200 becomes 400. Now I just prefer a faster update than a big one.

I fixed the current renderings, but I still insist that it should inform the % of what is missing to finish chapter 4.
Is clear that Ocean does not has a percentage, his estimations only has grow. Given percentages is a really bad idea for his part, renders numbers are more real, at least to me.

AH, there was the time Ocean moved apartment and had to upload an update via McDonald's free wifi because his hotspot was insufficient. Having all your data local saves time, and prevents you from having to stop work if the internet is down. Network/internet speed is slower than SSD/motherboard speed.

Also, the storage is for his assets, the renders can easily be backed up to the cloud, he probably already does.

About percentage - if we know how many renders are remaining, and how many are planned total, it should be simple to work out the percentage ourselves.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

A great example of how it would work, but anyway WiAB should only be released in June apparently.

First, let's remember that McDonald's didn't happen. He said he was going to do it if necessary, but it didn't happen. Look and you will find.
Then the percentage, it's not necessary, since we don't really know what's left to do in terms of renderings. we have an idea of how many ~stills, but we don't know what animations... the cinematic of chapter 1 had 16k frames. and add to that the Miru animations, that is, the sexual animations.
