I'll report it once 18 months pass since last update.
This game have been slow releases since day 1, also, this game is way above the average for quality of the renders and content relased per release.

Same old topic.

This games can take forever to get completed, if ever, while others have a faster pace and some get completed eventually.

Now, if people want to say i'm only here to critic for just saying something factual, please go on.

Does anyone know why it take so long for an update? Other than him developing both the games? Does it really require so much time to make or is he just taking his time lazing around?

For such quality, yes, it requires that much time. Specially rendering stuff. I don't know about all the process of creating a game, but yeah.. Just look at every other game similar to this one (quality speaking) and you'll see it's pretty much the same time to have an update. That and you already mentioned about Ocean making another game simultaneously.

What Ocean had going for him in the past was that his games had pretty much the best renders in this space, but at this point many other devs have cought up and even surpased him in many ways, so at this point its no longer all about quality, its about him keep changing his mind on what to write and put in, i feel like he doesn't have a clear direction, if he ever had one. That said, i still enjoy his games and personally don't mind waiting. Some of my favorite VN's take 1-2+ years to get an update. But at least its enough there to warrant that additional time, here i guess we will see how much we get, when we get it

So incest was ruled out? I thought Ocean changed the story of Leila and Will.
Ocean made a post, and we got it here, but he redacted it, because the SS subs say they didn't know about it. DOes that mean Ocean changed his mind? Or that he wants the reveal to be a surprise? Some kind of retcon of the relationships is planned based on that, but did Ocean change it because he had too much pizza when he posted and he changed his mind? We might not even fully know in this update. He might have made the new changes a pillar of the story, or they might be superficial.

No one actually knows, we're all waiting.

Hello,

So, I announced on Discord that the Dev Log would be one day late, because I wanted to show something off.

I had to render two animations for it if 160 frames each. (I rendered it about 6-7 times because things went wrong. More about this further below.

So, it looks like the update has about 4300 still images, I'm still not completely done with the cinematic but almost. (I've been rendering a 480 frame animation for 60+ hours now.)

It took longer because I applied cloth simulations to it. Lots of testing. Some test renders alone took three hours. The more people you have in an animation, the longer it takes Daz to load them into the memory... for... every... single... frame.

Cinematic is about 1:45min

I'm 99 percent certain that WIAB will go to Steam and GOG for testing before the next dev log.

Rest is the same as: https://f95zone.to/threads/summers-gone-s1-steam-dlc-oceanlab.29981/post-16944446
No previews until the update is released.
