how many times have you seen a tv show or movie shot in vancouver but used to be a different city... its no different here.. also i find it fun when you see familiar daz characters in other vns.. its like seeing a known actor or actress in a different film/show just playing a different roleYeah, including MCs and LIs!

I just had to react
I don't usually enjoy villains. Much less playing one. But one of the biggest reasons that drew me into Ocean's games was the old weird, psycho, sociopath, emo, asshole MC from SG. I just found him engaging. He has since been completely changed but I still miss the old one.
I definitely agree with both of Ocean's MC's being straight up assholes. Not in an evil or mean way. Just more like uncaring or unbothered about social norms and what others may think. Even though I mostly play them as good guys it's still a nice change of pace from your regular AVN MC.

If you're running the i patch it won't work anymore and you'll need to start over without it.
It's not but your opinion at least not like it matters anymore with how the dev just nuked the story

Both were great and I loved this game a little more than Summer's Gone, but right now, pretty sure both would be laughable if it continue the same way it's going after Chapter 4.
Yeah I honestly agree that the retcon killed a major appeal of the game but still, WIAB characters are just so much more refreshing, ofc SG characters are good but I hate that fuckass mc so ye
I honestly don't have much faith in ocean after what he did and I'm worried for the SG update but anyways

Honestly, I have no idea why anyone still tries to make sense of the story or characters in this game.
Seven years of development, and there's still no solid foundation, narratively or visually. Whatever tiny fragments of plot or design they manage to scrape together get reshuffled or tossed out in the next update anyway. It’s like watching a glorified slideshow made of pretty character portraits, where the concept of storytelling was quietly abandoned years ago.
This is supposed to be the “more adult” one of the two eternal season one projects? If this is what you can expect from this very mature game then imagine the other one. Maybe a one week in game season means decade irl time in this dev’s language.
What you’re looking at is the textbook result of a developer propped up by a overly hypedriven fanbase with zero expectations. They’ll cheer for anything and that’s exactly what they’re getting: ANYTHING.
What actually awaits you here? Changing characters, barely any story progression, and absolutely no meaningful choices. Just a hundred LIs, frozen in perfect light close-ups, while you get to awkwardly breathe into their face every second slide... or, better yet, watch eagerly as some random dude gets handsy with them instead.
If that’s your idea of fun, more power to you. Just don’t expect anything to change not this year, not the next. This is the game.
And sadly, that’s not even an exaggeration. Just take a look at the other game. The dev doesn’t give a flying f*ck about actual progression. He is trapped in his own perfect imagination where the only goal is to make the LIs shine and everything else that could make these games enjoyable is simply forgotten.
The pattern is obvious by now: he’ll keep remaking, and rewriting as long as it nets him some extra profit. Meanwhile, all that extra funding over the years? Never translated into actual progress. And everyone can see it — if they’re willing to look past the smoke and renders.

I think that's normal, especially if the game is developed by a single developer.
If everything had to be created from scratch, I'd be happy if one chapter came out every ten years.

That's the point Yossa was making, and responding to a long post about Ocean "stole" something from Pale Carnations. Mine was just more references.I think that's normal, especially if the game is developed by a single developer.
