I feel like we've all seen various-sized plot holes or non-nonsensical elements in WIAB/SG throughout the years (this goes beyond just the removal of the i-themes) and hope Ocean can/will somehow fix or explain these elements to make them more palatable to players.

For example, there is Schrödinger's lake in SG, which is both a short walking distance and a six-hour drive away. Heck, even if Ocean did not alter WIAB from its original concept, how could he explain (without porn logic) the HUGE plot hole of an MC fleeing his home town because he FEARS the consequences of his incestuous relationship becoming public, only to return to his home town to resume and expand his incestuous relationships, suddenly without FEAR of consequences (like his father/mother/aunt/uncle putting a shotgun to his head and pulling the trigger if they found out).

Previous version (reworked Ch1-3) had family relationships nudge nudge wink wink implied, and people loved patching that version, in hope of lewd scenes with patched relationships. Now patches can't be used without changing the story, and people making those kind of patches are trying to decide whether to bother or not. The older version also had a patch.

Honestly? Don't worry about it. You have the enviable position of having played the game without preconceptions.

She wasn't mute the whole time Willi was gone, only what the last three weeks? So years of running the Zane family, even if running it meant just going to dinner and meeting with the important families. Someone like Scarlet might think she could really raise the profile of the family if she was in Helen's position and is frustrated that Joe and Leia are doing all the expansion. Maybe? This isn't a plot hole though, it's just not stated and we're theorising. We see her and Dylan go to do family business at the Relucia diner. Despite being mute, she's the one making sure Willi needs to go to see Guiseppe. So somehow, she's still keeping it going in the last three weeks. My perception though, she's quite happy for the family 'business' to take a back seat and doesn't feel the need to run guns or distribute drugs.

That's kinda the head-scratching thing.

The Aranos historically ran all the criminal enterprises, even in the "reworked" Chs 1 -3, while the Zanes seemed to be in the background doing fuck all... until Leia stepped in. I am half expecting some unscrupulous Zane criminal enterprises - miraculously hidden from their children growing up - to make an appearance in future updates. If it happens, then my money is on the second Zane family property being a center of their illicit activity.

In the case of the weapons it seems to me that it is beyond being caught, seeing the reactions of Emilio and Riri with Leia's plan, perhaps the weapons are a much greater and complicated evil (making her own plans may fall for others).

Ah… no wonder the game felt so confusing at first — there was no background explanation or relationship context at all. It wasn’t until I got to Chapter 2 that I started thinking, “Oh, maybe they’re family.” So is the only difference between the pre-rework and post-rework versions whether or not their familial relationship is explicitly stated? I was kind of hoping for some incest between Leia and Katie… but considering the tone of the game, I guess that’s probably not going to happen.
