I think you should probably take a look at the thread I linked in the other post. There are plenty of posts talking about the dos and don'ts of opening up your game to public feedback. The suggestion is that you set your own content ideas that you plan on implementing anyways as the poll options. Then you do the one they like the most first. I barely deviated from his plot with the older sister, I dropped the grind, made her punishments more severe, and salvaged his broken as fuck blackmail scenario that wouldn't have worked on the daugher in DMD, let alone his older sister. If you want an American equivalent think General Hospital but over the top. It's not something that's supposed to be serious and the plot doesn't really matter. If Faerin wanted to flesh out a main story he certainly can at ths point. And one more thing dev wise Faerin blows DS out of the water in every category except render quality and that's to be expected seeing as DS has more experience. Faerin was prepared for the crackdown. He made steps to ensure his game could continue. He built up a loyal following that he communicates to daily and interacts with to make his game better. I honestly don't know many like him when it comes to this. One last thing about sandbox games. For me the main quest isn't what draws me into them. Games like Elder scrolls and fallout are great for me because of the lore. It's one of the few times I actually read in a video game. I have nothing against either of them, I'm simply critiquing their content. I don't agree that a sandbox can't have a story. You yourself say that what makes them great is Lore. I'll explain. The best Sandbox RPG I've ever played is the Witcher 3, though 2 was also pretty great. The Witcher series has a heavy background lore but also a great througline story. It has characters you're invested in and outcomes that matter. It has stakes and it has tension.

Lets take a look at Witcher 3 specifically as it relates to what both DS and Faerin have done. In the game there are several women with whom you have romantic and sexual options encounters and etc. However, if you pursue both Yennifer and Triss, the final encounter you get with them is when they decide to tell you they want a threesome then trick you and leave you tied to the bed. In both cases you have a story, you have a budding romance that you have to make choices in, and if you try to be the player you end up getting played. Of course, you can choose to pursue one or the other and be just fine. You can replay for whichever you prefer. In the end the game is better for it, because there are stakes.

However, you're seen by your little sister, she watches you, she even masturbates. So you confront her about this, naturally, and the idea of you teaching her about sex comes up. You agree, but on one condition, if she wants you to teach her about sex, she needs to agree to earn it by studying.

You tutor her for 3 days and by the end you decide to reward her with her first lesson. This goes on like this, a few days of tutoring and a new lesson.
