Its not about a scene being too dark (the bar for that starts somewhere around gore for me but thats another story) or the difference in amount of information MC and player get.

last comparison, since i dont want to derail the thread too much or cheapen the game for others.

A game in which the player controls his MC the whole game as usual but everytime MC fucks someone the scene is only shown through a keyhole.
--> I would plead for a "voyeur" tag even tho MC is in the action involved. Cause it would be a tag for the player.

The boyfriend/husband/LI whatever doesn't even have to show up particularly in a NTR story. Sometimes he is just mentioned in the dialogs of the video/manga/game whatever or implied even more subtile. Same goes for the player. We are not directly addresed, but as Clair is literally the first girl showing up and affection toward us (MC and therefore player) she naturally becomes a LI.
(That could happen even independent of MC. Like MC saying "Claire sucks, don't care about her" but the player does care...)


So that was that. Tough luck I wasn't able to dodge the NTR but its not worth to hold on to it for too long either.

kudos for dev to complete his game and gl hf to people playing. I'll show myself out.

You will be missing out @goatwhisperer3 or be very wise to stop right now then. This game is not about love interests or get all girls, but about the story. There will be some love interests, sex and possibly even a harem ending but the game revolves around the story. Not making the girls happy or even MC.

In the end it will be about winning the war and choosing what side you will be on and who your allies will be. There should also be plenty of sex and possibly even love in the end, but it is not a game where you should make your choices to reach high points with a certain girl or girls. If want that I can absolutely advise Where the heart is, The Visit and a lot of other games though.

Right or wrong, I will be honest, I just don't have the time to argue with someone, who already has their mind made up about what is/what isn't NTR...

I thank you for taking the time to try our game, for sharing your thoughts on the subject and for doing so calmly, rationally and with consideration, @goatwhisperer3.

I knew, when making this game, that it wouldn't be for everyone... that certain scenes and content would ruffle some people's feathers, so I can understand when you say you want to bow out. You at least gave it a try and for that, I am thankful to you for.

Well... sort of... but not entirely, I've just been using the quiet of the holiday to get more work done.
I will be going with the wife to her family's tomorrow (Christmas) to celebrate, but will spending today (Christmas Eve) working on the Prologue and rendering my ass off.

I took a little break each day to catch up on some of the other creator's porn games (Whorelords, Fleeting Iris, etc...), so it hasn't been ALL work for me.

And, to be honest, this is the time of the year that my body tends to hurt the most because of my degenerative bone/spine disease, osteophyte complex and stenosis of the spinal canal (yes, my body is really screwed up)... so the more work I can get done on my "good days", means the less I will get behind in it on my "bad days".

While I may be genetically FUBAR and physically screwed up, I really, really, really don't want to be like some of the other creators out there who disappear on their supporters, or go long periods without product for them...

...that, and to be truthful, working on the game... weaving stories that people enjoy is relaxing to me. It provides me something to focus on besides pain, or just doing what the U.S. Government thinks I should do for the rest of my life... which is sit on a couch and just wait till I die.

I do not plan to "go quietly into the night" like they would have me go... nope, I plan to go creating good games with awesome stories, decent artwork and providing the whole world with lust-filled fantasies and erections EVERYWHERE!!

Could I advise you to have a look at games like Betrayed, Where The Heart is, Lexi and such. Quite a few newer games out with either very good renders and animations or something resembling a story

Don't forget Deluca family. Sexwise nothing there (yet), but story, art and character are top-notch. It is one of the few games I would even play regardless of the smut in it.

And @HopesGaming has stated that he is not someone the following the "mainstream", like other devs

There are way too many recommendations to make considering new games atm, Jack is quite capable to look for his own smut but Betrayed has some great animation and dev from Lexi is doing something very right with how he renders his scenes (hardly any sex yet with main characters though some nice teasing) so he does draw you in to his characters.

I most certainly agree with you, @DA22 and to make things even stranger is how the U.S. Government is cracking down on doctor prescribed pain killers, to the point that doctors are almost afraid to write a prescription for them... so people who live with chronic pain, may now have to "sit on a couch and wait to die", while in pain.

While I do have to take pain killers for my pain, I only do so ONLY when it is so sever that I am nearly a drooling idiot... as the pain killers also tend to make me a drooling idiot as well. So I've learned to manage the pain to a large degree to the point where 65 pills can last me a year or a few months longer...

But yeah, just sitting on some couch and doing nothing only causes you to focus on the pain more, as you've nothing to really distract yourself from it... or turns you into a pill popping zombie, which I don't ever want to be.

As for some of the new games out there... I hold off on playing them... one, because I really don't have much time... and also, I prefer to wait till it is nearly complete so that I don't get invested in a title only to watch the creator piss on their supporters and disappear... so, people will catch me playing a lot of the Japanese RPGMs that come out, as when they do show up here, they are already completed and done and I can spend a quick 3 hours completing them.

Well stillsome of those games are worth it just for seeing what people are doing and yeah that will always be the problem when you play games in development. Personally i dislike games where the direction changes midway during a game and suddenly NTR or incest or such gets added out of the blue to make game play more attractive.

Also another complaint about most NTR games, why does the NTR character always have to be such a complete utter asshole and despicable human that if one of my nieces was dating them I would consider bedding her if that would get them away from him and trust me none of my nieces interest or excite me in that way. Why not someone you actually would have a liking for if he was not your rival for that girl and watch a sports game with a few beers.

I just took a peek at the post for Deluca family by @HopesGaming, the artwork in the screenshots look very nice, love the looks of some of the characters and who I assume is the MC doesn't look like a dork like Max look from BB. Don't know much about the story and don't want to try a game that is only 3 months old, but I might decide to support it on Patreon after the new year... just to help the creator out and encourage him to continue working... because his renders are gorgeous!

Never experience myself the side effect of the pain killer and (fortunate) haven't must to take one of this heavy stuff. But sure, I would also don't like to be a zombie model of myself...

Yup, that I something I can fully understand. It is alwas a leftdown, if your favoured manga/anime/game drops and therefore will never be completed. It is bad for the translation of the medium but it real sucks if the original is canceld on watherever reason.

And for the Deluca game I have high hopes, which I haven't had in a longer tome, for any games on this site - beside yours of course. The little Luna could even rival our little FAP.

I agree, @DA22, it seems like ALL NTR content seems to revolve around a dickhead character that deserves to have their spouse/girlfriend/lover cheat on them... part of me thinks it is because the creator either doesn't fully understand what NTR is (and also quite a few members as well, from what I've seen) or that the creator needs to find some means in which to justify the action to the point that people don't really mind that it is happening... which goes against the meaning of NTR to begin with.

I think people can already guess that there will be NTR in "Wicked Choices: Book Two", between the MC and his wife, it will be avoidable to witness the event for those who aren't into it... but the ramifications will be there regardless in the storyline.

But yeah, my story won't ever change partway through, like we've seen with some of the others out there... I think a lot of that is creators caving in to demands from their players or a creator sacrificing their story by chasing the dollar of supporters.

While I would like to make more money with our games (and hope to one day), I won't do so by changing the story partway through and creating a mess... a creator (in my opinion) must stick to their story and by doing so the money will come, sacrificing it for the hope of money will only piss the supporters they do have off... and a prime example of that was witnessed with BB.

Heh... the only way that I will quit doing our games is if I die (which my wife and I have discussed already and everything would be turned over to @Palanto)... and let me state, I don't plan to die anytime soon.

I really do, want to get to a financial point in our creation where I can build a company, where I can focus on the stories and get all of them written, so even if (god forbid) I was to need time off for health reasons or if I "expire before my desire", that the games could still be produced in my absence and maintained.

I think we'll get there eventually... I think we've proved ourselves with one game and already working on a second, which will have even more sex and goodies in it (even in the first release of the prologue) than there was in "Wicked Choices: Book One"... since the universe, story and characters have already been established, now we can jump right in with the good stuff.

So, I don't think there will be a need of the chair.
