I did not have the opportunity to play your game and do not know the reason why yours was removed from Patreon... was it also removed from or never posted here? I do remember back when Patreon was going about and wiping people's accounts out and stuff, that there was a game that was over here and there that was removed from both places because the characters were reflective and could be construed as being under-aged... not sure if that was yours or not, if not, I apologize for mentioning it.

Be that as it may, as it was mentioned, ours was checked and I had received a communication from a staff member of Patreon in regard to my content and was advised to be cautious about adding content in regard to "rape"... the only thing that saved me in regard to that scene was the fact that it wasn't done "gratuitously" with the intent to arouse the players of the game... it was done to show the horrors and suffering that comes with rape.

As for the "incest" that occurs within our game, it is... as they said could be done in a "Game of Thrones" style game or product... which I took it as meaning that the act of "incest" isn't the FOCUS of the whole game and a means to get one's jollies off... that it can occur, be mentioned, but not be the sole component of the product itself... sort of like added seasoning to the story... which is how ours has been done and likely why we've been allowed to continue with a warning to "be careful" and that "we'll be keeping an eye on it"... to keep us in line.

As I told them (Patreon), I understand their position in regards to certain content and the reason why they have to do what they do... I am not angry about it, even if they had deemed our game to be in violation of the terms, which (thankfully) we weren't, I would've just moved to a different game and story...

My goal with any game that I do (or will do) is to tell a story... a deep, meaningful one that people can follow and enjoy, one that is isn't done as pure "spank material" for the purpose of "making a dollar", but one that uses sex as a tool to enhance the story, not a story to enhance the sex... that is perhaps another reason why I've been "saved" from the culling.

All I know is that we've been fortunate and grateful to be allowed to continue, we will remain compliant with their rules and respect them, as it their website and how they run it is up to them and we will abide by it because we are fortunate to be able to use it as a platform to telling our stories and market our game.

Not expecting you to do anything. Was merely pointing out that going to the source of the people who created WebP might be a better option than relying on online services (who also just use that converter).

I like how you are incorporating different cultures' history/mythos into the game; makes it more 'believable' from a primitive peoples perspective/understanding of your 'history.'

Was pleasantly surprised by this update, both by the content (thought something generally similar would be in next update) and adding a couple more pieces to the 'puzzle.'

I am not sure if it is a good thing or not (from a sanity pov :biggrin that I am trying to figure out the background/history to your story. Oh well, time to make a few changes to my notes. Very well done.

I, in my not quite caffeinated brain, ran through a grand monologue about joining the "CoOLS" (Church of our Lady Syrina) as a full brother of the Fappians. However, as many a thought does before leaving my head, it devolved into a slightly warped variation of the scene in the Crying Game, where Steven Rhea and "girlfriend" are recieving all kinds of attention at the construction site.

As a child of the 60's and growing up through the 70's, I spent a good portion of my childhood as a devoted Catholic and alter boy (back when we still had to reply in Latin) with the intent of becoming a priest and had joined a seminary for two years as a teen... eventually, as still a teen, I discovered that such a life wasn't for me and began to investigate other religions from Eastern Philosophy to sections of the "Brotherhood" to try and find "answers"...

Eventually, I was able to find the answers I was seeking... or at least what works for me.

Yeah, there are a lot of easy ways to batch convert a lot of images to WebP!

And true, lossless WebP images only cut the file sizes down by about 25% (which is still a good bit!), but lossy WebP images of the highest quality cut that down by 75%, and I honestly can't tell the difference between a lossy WebP at the highest quality settings and the source PNG. Plus you can still do transparency with lossy WebP!

IMPORTANT​

Install Instructions for the Update/Patch files:
Mac players: Right click on the application, and then on show contents. This will reveal a folder in both the original and update files called "Contents". Then, while pressing option (the "alt" key), move the Contents folder from the update/patch to the original application. You should then get a dialog box asking whether you want to stop, replace or merge the folders. Choose merge and you'll be done.

Windows and Linux players: just extract the .zip file in the folder above your old WickedChoices-pc folder (please make sure it is called just that "WickedChoices-pc" nothing more). Overwrite everything it asks for (If it doesn't ask then you did something wrong!) after that you're done.

Android users: have to download the new version in full size, sorry about that but there isn't any other way for renpy games.
If you don't have enough space to overwrite your old game with the update, please make sure to backup your savegame folder: sdcard/Android/data/com.aslpro3d.wickedchoices
then uninstall the game, download the new version to your mobile phone or tablet and install it. After the installation you can copy the com.aslpro3d.wickedchoices folder back to it's original location.
If you have enough space, download the new version and install it (It's going to overwrite the old version)

Oh, I changed the name of the folder (added version). Seems works fine, but should i expect any problem?

No problems there, as long as you copy the content of the extracted WickedChoices-pc into your renamed WickedChoicesWhatever folder

Sorry in advance for asking this but my pc have several issues that i can't view that video (non only that video but any sorta of online videos except youtube). Is possible to have a writed tutorial about how to update the game?

Look at the first quote up in this post, the one that I wrote myself some posts before yours

i speak her for the win version, have no fruit or linux box myself
but the principle should be the same

1. i assume you have the main game installed, if not dl it and extract it to your desired location
2. dl the patch
3. extract the patch archive somewhere outside of your extracted game folder (keep folder structure)
4. now you should have a folder WickedChoices-pc
   
5. move the content (important, the content not the folder itself) to your main game folder
6. a popup should appear asking for overwrite permission, do it (in principle you have to allow every overwriting of files and folders)
   
7. if you did not recieve any question about overwrite permission, you did someting wrong and go back to #3
8. delete your now empty patch folder, go to your main game folder and have fun

Alright well I just wanted to say I downloaded this game on a lark, merely interested by the cover photo. I won't get into too many specifics but I'll say that I played it without looking at the tags. I was (to my immense delight) surprised by the prologue. Like, seriously. well done. @

and @Palanto Games, I would personally like to say that I will be following this game from now on. I can mention nothing that I personally found wrong with the game. I didn't come across any bugs, I loved each part of the story, and I ESPECIALLY love where this is going. This genre of game is one that interests me very highly (both the fantasy genre and the incest genre) and I love the different choices you give us and the plot twists that come into play as well. I would love to get into contact with you and talk more, because I can honestly say I would like to become a patron of yours. I just need a little bit more convincing to do that.

Yeah, not a big fan of the download sizes either, which is why we are trying to streamline the "Update Patches" so that they just stack on each other to provide quick download times and the full game for players.

I'd consider WebP if they had an encoder that worked within Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, I have over 2000 images to my game already, and doing an online encoding system would be a grievous pain in the ass for me and as @Palanto Games stated, the reduction only cuts it down around to around 500mb... no matter what I do, right now, this game, when completed, is going to be monstrous by completion... which is why we are trying to go the route of updated patches that will remain between 300mb to 700mb.

*sigh* I thought I was being a good creator by doing it in HD... :'(

If that's what people want I can certainly do one more version for the pc and mac variant with webp. So those who don't mind a bigger size and want to have the full quality without any changes I can upload the usual .png version and for the ones who want smaller sizes I can do the .webp variant. BUT if I do it like that I'll upload the .png version first. And please bare in mind that I only have 2mbit/s upload here and that it will take a while to get those "smaller" versions up too

Neither can I, but ASL can, I tried it before with png to don't remember what it was (supposedly lossless haha not really though) But most of the changes were only visible while zooming in a bit or by directly comparing them Well, like I said in the post above, I'll talk about it with @ASLPro3D maybe I do two versions, one in fullHD .png and one in fullHD .webP (lossless or lossy could be a poll for the patreons I think I think lossy would make more sense then because the lossless one would be the .png version... )
