The Southern half of the island has quite a few flat, open areas for buiding. The Northern half has a lot more hills and dense forest, but you can build there if you can find a decent spot.I'm not sure if this question was asked before, but could you tell me where the best place to build a house is?
Overall the game is not bad, there are some bugs and glitches.
It sounds like you figured out how to use the repair kits, dragging the Kit onto the item. A popup tooltip or something on the repair kit that says to drag and drop onto the item you want repaired wouldn't hurt.Questions - having searched the thread I don't think I am asking already answered Qs
(this game really does badly need a functional guide)
- Repairing used equipment (pickaxes etc):ahem... ETA of course after posing the question about using repair kit I immediately figured out that I was doing wrong order... (trying to put the item on the kit and not the other way around)
- Discarding used up / broken equipment: in case repair isn't possible (besides putting in a box)?
I am assuming that you are talking about that bright ball of light that sits over the left shoulder of the character.is there a way to turn off the close range light?
I am assuming that you are talking about that bright ball of light that sits over the left shoulder of the character.
There is no ' remove the blinding ball and just light up the area' button. You can either have the glowing ball or be blind at night or in dark areas.
So, if you want to get right of that light, you need to unequip the necklace/head piece you got from Isabel.

I'm referring to the automatic light when the camera gets close to the character.
Thanks. It sounds like you figured out how to use the repair kits, dragging the Kit onto the item. A popup tooltip or something on the repair kit that says to drag and drop onto the item you want repaired wouldn't hurt.
For discarding anything, just drag and drop it onto an empty spot around the UI.
So, when you open your inventory, down at the bottom right of the screen there is a nice little gap to the right of the hotbar that is perfect for dragging and dropping things out of your inventory. You can use any 'empty space' around the inventory screen, I only mentioned the bottom right area because that is the area I use to discard things.
I am pretty sure you can do the same thing when you have chests, barrels, or any other loot window open. Just drag the item to an empty space around the UI and then drop it. It should throw the items onto the ground and when you move far enough away from that area, the discarded items will despawn.
Maybe someone else will know better than I do, all I can really say is that your followers vanish into the Ether if you tell them to stay in one place and walk away from them or enter a dungeon.Thanks.
Another clarification question that hopefully a good citizen can help: is there any way to see a list or determine who (& possibly where) the followers are? Having banged a satyr and given birth to one (and used research table), can't quite figure out if the birthed one has gone off or not (or even be sure on a list of followers... assuming in future I can add more)
Well, the picture helps. Would have been handy when I replied to you.
Sorry, though, I don't have an answer for you on that one. Maybe try turning off Lens Flare?
The only thing I can really suggest is to go into the settings and hover your mouse over the text for each setting. It should pop up a small tool tip with a short description of what each setting does. I never noticed that effect in my game, but that isn't saying much. I don't have a house built and I spend most of my time running around outside.
thanks anyway for the answer.
I checked all the settings, and it seems there is no way to disable it that's why I was asking. it's a really annoying light that is accentuated near walls or during sex scenes if you get closer the camera to the scene.
Possible Reasons you are dying instead of seeing 'the sexy times':so how can i see sex scene? monsters keep killing me instead of sex scene
Thanks this helps, at least I know I'm not blindly missing something - I suspected this was the case but thought there was a possibility I had missed a function or key.Maybe someone else will know better than I do, all I can really say is that your followers vanish into the Ether if you tell them to stay in one place and walk away from them or enter a dungeon.
In previous versions there was a hotkey for followers (U i think), but it never seemed to work right even when it showed that I had a follower/summon around me.
The tamed/summoned creatures tend to not hang around very long, especially if you tell them to stay in one place (such as around your base). So, think of your crafted summon as a 1 time use thing. Play around with it, have it follow you somewhere, and when you are bored of it, just tell it to stay and walk away. You do have to get knocked up again to be able to create another summon though.
the time multiplier multiplies the length of the pregnancy, so 5x is 5x the normal length. If you want it shorter, set it to like .5 or somethingEdit2: I just noticed it says "time multiplier" in the options. So I assume that the effects are the opposte of what I thought.
Noticed that, yes. Thank you anyway.the time multiplier multiplies the length of the pregnancy, so 5x is 5x the normal length. If you want it shorter, set it to like .5 or something
