This isn't being developed anymore. After partnering up with a writer (EvilFuzzy9), fidless recycled the assets and started Wicked Rouge REFINE. If you start a game, you'll see many of the broad strokes of the story are the same but details have changed. Same with some of the character models.

REFINE and the Original have a story that go into different directions according to the developer. Not mandatory to play the original first. due to this fact. I am only about an hour or 2 in and the story, from what I have played of the original, REFINE's story and gameplay is drastically different for the better imho.

This version was good but yes, it's abandoned and has been replaced by Wicked Rouge Refine. That has a few differences to the original but is still a good, solid, game with real potential.
