This game have more content than the REFINE version?

Yes, in fact it has far more content than many 'completed' games on this site. There's literally dozens of hours of content and it's worth replaying trying different strategies as the game is actually quite engaging. It's actually unfair in a sense for this to be labeled 'abandoned' as you can get so far with it there's not much more you'd actually need to see, outside a culmination of various storylines you can imagine resolutions to anyway.

I whas there and I can explain. Where on the first time they where fine, you had to repeat them over and over and as they where not skipable they became later annoying. Maybe he delated because implementing skipping turned out to much of a problem?

That may be a reason (and a poor one) but no excuse... What do you play a porn game for? The animations. Still images are so last century...

Heh, I remember that too. I lurk but I seldom post. I recall that whole dust-up and didn't care as much as you or others but in the end thought the result better for the game, as repeated un-skippable animations irritated me after a while. Eventually I wanted a way to skip all the extended animations as well, as after seeing them fifteen times while trying out different strategies they got tedious too. Animations are not my number one reason for playing erotic games, at least most of the time.

Removing animations because the dev is unable to make them skippable is the worst thing to do. That cannot really be a problem if you know how to put a button in the game and how to evaluate an if statement. If you cannot even do that as a dev...

You know... While the training system with mini-games were changed, I made changes to animate scenes myself instead of using premade default boring stuff, plus expanded training options by half with more in-depth texts.
Try to animate 30 scenes and see it for yourself how many more you can do before burnout. Then multiply it by 4, 6, 8?
The decision was made to focus on story sex events that are more exciting than just repeating the same animation loop 20 times clicking on screen.
A game like mine takes a looooot of time to make, but expectations of update frequency are the same as linear VN.
Some logical decisions have to be made sometimes or fall into the usual game development cliche of never finishing the project.
I chose to cut some features to make this project finish line achievable.
Although, it has to continue in a different form as "Refine" now I guess.

yeah thanks everybody for your inputs, I played the refine version but now I'm thinking about giving this old version a try as well, I liked the playing style of this one, mixing rpg fighting stuff with the lewd stuff, I think it has a lot of potential, hope it keeps on coming with new content

Truthfully I don't know, I've little idea how to code or make these games, I was just detailing why I wasn't as upset as others they were removed. I don't even remember them that well, though I do recall other elements that were removed like having to buy wood and steel for brothel improvements, the mercenaries you could hire and if I recall correctly in the very early versions you could whip incompetent courtesans. I think in the end he made a good choice on those removals, though I did miss my merc crew who I'd created some head-canon for as they were never really developed. After a tough day smacking around Tommie's crew it was nice to go back to the Red Petal and gangbang Mei or whoever was at that stage of the training.

I appreciate your effort and I would like to point out that I like the game (still). But I am not asking to provide more animations. Just to keep those that were already there. I really was disappointed to see them all gone out of a sudden...

How many years has it been since that was changed? Two? Maybe even three? What was it about those specific animations that you found so appealing? It's not like there's none left in the game, since that time he has probably added in dozens more animations of greater length and quality, why pine for those long lost animations when there was so many more added since?

I'm honestly curious about the questions I asked, as I noted before I don't remember them all that well, but what I do remember is seemingly endless inquiries regarding them, to the extent that if you enter "animations" into the crappy search engine on this site you come up with seven or so pages of posts, many regarding those particular animations.

It's like this thread is being trolled by the Animations Preservation Society or something!

I don't know what exactly triggerd you and I honestly don't care. Maybe it was my remark about if a dev cannot even put a skip button. But what I voiced was genuine criticizm, just a statement of facts and no offense intended. I even explained it in my next post, which you facepalmed as well.

I found my last contribution to this thread 14 months ago, concerning animations. Your answer back then was to use the gallery. That might have been a reasonable response right now as well. But as far as I see, my game back then had about six fully filled screens in the gallery, while the new refined game now only offers two pages (and I apparently missed half of those scenes in my playthrough). So my point still stands.

I remember from the discussion back then that you have been facepalming people left and right as well. So I guess it's just your thing.

Edit: I just had a vision of me being bound in your dungeon, you swinging the whip. Maybe you can make an animation out of this. But make it skippable.
