indeed, well said. for me sandro and his blackmail was point of no return (plus both choices are bringing same results!). overall like it is written by teen comp geek with zero knowledge about writting, real life, sex and relationship.
now this game is impossible to save, maybe chainsaw massacre of all characters by 2 mcs is only way to get positive move

Every time blackmail, or any other form of coercion appears in a VN or game there is a chorus of disapproval. This has become especially noticeable in the last couple of years, as neo-Puritanism sweeps the world. Everyone has different tastes, tolerance levels & degrees to which they can suspend disbelief. There are several widespread facets of current porn game content that I absolutely, trumpets-blaringly, cymbals-clashingly, completely & utterly detest. If some element that I don't care for is introduced to a game, I put the game on hold, perhaps for years until it changes, or more likely stop playing altogether. This only happens if I feel strongly enough but it has happened occassionally & spoiled games I was enjoying. It may just be me but I never feel the need to express my disappointment to the Dev & the fanbase in general but just move on.
This won't be happening with Wife at All Costs, at least not at present, because I like it. I don't disrespect or seek to denigrate those who legitimately feel that it's not for them but by the same token don't wish to see the future course of game events unduly influenced by diatribes against its' content. Where games evolve in ways I don't care for but where I wish to continue following, I make robust, (hopefully constructive), comments & criticism. Even so, I don't realistically expect a Dev to make the changes I would hope for, unless many more fans feel the same & put their views in print.
It could be stated that "No pixel people were harmed in the making of this game" but we're all adults & this shouldn't be necessary.

Well, first of all, criticism is just as useful as kissing authors in the ass. Both, in their own way, help to improve the quality of the game.
Secondly, according to your logic, there is nothing wrong with c h i l d p o r n. After all, we have different tolerances to such things.
Just write that no pixelated five-year-old girls were harmed.
But we are adults, we know what is good and what is bad.
Third, those who criticize mostly express disappointment. Rarely does anyone tell the author what to do.
For example, I'm not a fan of the game, I just really like it.
I'm not against the way the author tells the story he wants to tell. I have no right to do this at all.
It's just that I still don't understand how a light story about a fat funny cuckold and a beautiful wife suddenly turned into a story about politics, the mafia, blackmail, humiliation, rape and sexual slavery. Literally in one update. That's all.

I agree with what you wrote...
I also agree with those who create constructive criticism... In fact, it's no secret that when I started I had no experience in graphics or programming.
Criticism, on the other hand, from people who only want what they want, honestly hurts me a little... But as you say, tastes are tastes.
When I started out I had to choose the least beautiful story in my repertoire... So believe me when I say that if you have become attached to Wife at all costs, you'll see when "I'll be waiting for you" is released.
I've never boasted in my life but I can assure you that as a story it's fabulous....
To show you this game I needed to learn how to enter the MC name and get a good understanding of how to create menus with counting to make sense of the paths a person chooses....
Well, after a year of hard work I learned them... Of course I'm not a super expert... And I know it very well, among other things on this site there are Super Professionals.
But nothing stops me from trying and believing in what I do.
People like you give me the fuel to go on, stronger than ever...

Yes, we do & I used this logic, not because I necessarily agreed with it but because it was used as a reply to me, in a situation where I'd made a criticism about the prescence of gratuitous snuff porn in a well-rendered story, as opposed to someone's death as an integral part of a plot.

For me the game is still really promising but I was out of this game for a longtime... yesterday I have downloaded the 09 version.
I just asking because the game was great in the start and your skill about renders was good also in the start to me...but now is a little bit confusing
I have just one question after understanding that the mistress path seems to be gone ...: Favalli will be the winner?

A great antagonist is always good for make great a storyline
I think he died too soon
or maybe he could still be alive ... maybe he was saved ... and seriously injured in a hospital.
Without a great antagonist the story can becomes childish

I'm not abandoning anything? If you've seen the game you'll also have seen how I closed this chapter.
And you will also have read what Lucrezia says to Augusto at the beginning.
I understand that sometimes you tend to go fast...I'm telling you this because it happens to me too...When I look at some game I'm interested in, I try and hope to find the images I like.
The game will definitely have a lot of twists and turns and the story will involve people who love these kinds of stories.
It's logical I can't tell you how it's going to end if I don't take away the pleasure of my supporters.
I don't like clichés... Although with Scandal there will only be what you look for..It will be a much more relaxing, linear game..But as for Wife at All Costs the story is different.
I hope to hear from you again soon and if you also quit the game I'm sorry but after what happened to me from 2020 onwards I'll get over it.

i'm not considering myself as you call them neo-puritans who are against blackmail per se. blackmail as trigger on falling path is often logical explanation of story. but i'm against stupid, riddiculous, childish blackmails which were at one point standard part of every fem protagonist corruption games. like devs didn't want spending time on developing story that have sense or they couldn't do better because lacking of minimum writing talent or life experience.
regarding this game it started well, in fact excellent, but recently every update was lowering quality bar. this update clearly shows every aspect what is wrong with some blackmail games as i said above: badly written blackmail story

agree (as with almost everything else you written in that post) that we shouldn't tell the author how to tell his story, but we have full right to say what we are thinking about results.
btw facepalming me by dev (Lucrezia&Augusto) for expressing my opinion on update in earlier post was childish.
