I have been (and still am) in alpha and beta tests before, and disagree with that, it doesn't run fine for the amount of dev time and team size it has.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know this is the studios first project, so it's almost guaranteed to have mismanaged project milestones simply by lack of experience.
Did you happen to play the Battlefield 2042 beta earlier this month? That's a multi million dollar project by very experienced devs and published by EA that is supposed to release next month and it runs like ass and is full of bugs on almost every platform. We could also mention Star Citizen but that feels like cheating.

They specifically mentioned Studio FOW and Subverse in their QnA, and yes they do think they're on the same level and expect the same result. I'd give a time stamp but can't be assed watching it again, its on the picardo site anyways.
FOW had an impeccable track record back when they made movie projects but last I heard Subverse was received rather badly by fans. There is no studio that's immune to fucking up and losing customer loyalty. See CDProjekt Red or Bethesda for reference.

Thats normal for this game really. AMD GPU, nVidia in SLI, insufficient system ram, UE4 reqs not meet etc. Basically, does other UE4 based game run? If yes, then you got roughly 50% of this one running. You can also grab the demo from steam and try it from there to see if it loads.
I've been a part of countless alpha and beta tests for lots of games since the early 2000s (yes I'm old) and also worked in first level support for a major game studio for years so call me jaded if you want, but if I read "I have good PC why this no run?" I immediately default to the error sitting in front of the display first. Just because most of the time it's true.
I've been running several iterations of this game on different hardware (and currently on 2016 hardware) and not once encountered one of the problems you mention here.

Sorry if I sound like I'm defending the game. I'm not. It's an unfocused project that's way too ambitious for it's own good and gained too much support too fast and I doubt it'll ever turn out to be the thing people are hoping for. But we should at least stay in a somewhat realistic lane with the expectations.

Okay, haven't checked back in a few months. Here's my impressions of the new build.
The new area looks nice, needs some polish but I'd be okay with how it looks right now + all of the environmental structures filled with placeholder art. Populate the area with NPCs and let me visit and fuck them and you have me sold.
The combat, I have some thoughts on that. I'm extremely happy that the old janky system was thrown out. It was for everyone's benefit.

But what they replaced it with is an.. odd choice? Not an unwelcome one, but it's kind of odd.
Listen, I'll be the first to say it. I love Metal Gear Rising. It's one of the best actions games ever made as is most Platinum games. But Metal Gear Rising is a very specific game to fighting giant robots and throwing around cyborg mercenaries like toy soldiers. Which is why I was kind of surprised to see its combat in a game about spears, furries, and tribes of natives.

If you ask me what kind of combat system the game *should* have, you'll get my reply I made almost a year ago that I don't think the game should have much of any combat, it's primarily a porn game first and foremost. I say this because MGR's combat, while sublime, has the issue where you have to specifically tune every attack frame of every NPC to the parry windows of your character down to the millisecond for it to feel really good. Add in potentially dozens of NPCs, all of which will have attacks and parry windows, and you have a ton of work on your hands.

But I digress, amazing if he pulls it off, but I can only picture the amount of time it would take to do it. Which is why, again, I would almost prefer that he scraps the idea of having such an ambitious combat system and just give the 'good enough' option that feels good, is simple, and makes it easy to traverse from place to place fucking NPCs. Only because thats the actual reason 99% of people will be playing it.

I believe it is the founders first (game) project, but some of the management are supposed to be experienced from larger studios .

FOW had an impeccable track record back when they made movie projects but last I heard Subverse was received rather badly by fans. There is no studio that's immune to fucking up and losing customer loyalty. See CDProjekt Red or Bethesda for reference.
That quote was purely referring to the amount of money expected from the kickstarter campaign from their QnA about expectations. They saw how much FOW got and expected to replicate that.

I've been running several iterations of this game on different hardware (and currently on 2016 hardware) and not once encountered one of the problems you mention here.
I've tested the latest demo (from here and official from steam), across several machines. They have ranged from old GTX660 with 2GB vRam and up, and R9 275X and up, across Win7, Win10, Win11. It runs stable on all nVidia based cards, poorly usually for the quality, but stable. But ATI/AMD, I'd love to hear what GPU config (driver ver and OS) you have that can run it stable from both sandbox (that includes flying around as Maya forcing rapid terrain/texture loads) and demo mode for more than 15 minutes without issues. Best I can get is from my RX570 with 8GB vram, not flying, in sandbox, is about 10 minutes before it pukes with out of vram errors or simple CTD. Thats on latest feature build of Win10 and latest AMD drivers on Ryzen based system.

What annoys me is how arrogant they are with ignoring stability and playability complaints, every dev rig is nvidia only (as per their QnA), and any planned tech if implemented will also only be the likes of DLSS, completely ignore open (and reportly easier to implement) cross platform tech like FidelityFX Super Res (also in their QnA).

I'm no AMD fanboy, I got more nvidia based stuff than AMD, but I expect a dev to not be some blatant about it.

/end rant.

Okay... is it just me or was there no mosaic blur before? Not only that I cannot posess other characters it seems... do we really need to pay to be able to see any type of nudity? Just wondering... If anyone has a fix besides jumping through a pay wall please let me know...
