Can't wait for this Mesh Merger feature!

this_is_huge.png

I remember experimenting with max props amount in one map, and after like 100k props spawned my game crashed.

maxprops.png

Json ended up being over 150MB. I still can't open that map though

But with Mesh Merger implemented, does it mean we can now have 100k props merged into 1? Could we potentially have infinite props added to maps?

I regret deleting the old version (pre UE5 migration) before I downloaded the new one. I already deleted the new version, since it looks and plays much worse than before so it is not worth to keep it on my hard drive. They had plenty of time to fix this, but it does not look like they consider this a priority. I guess there are some technical nuances in the background, but as an end user I do not really care about those to be honest. What happened from my point of view is that they reduced the quality and increased the hardware requirement. In no universe this is a good thing.

Ryzen 4600g, RX 580, 16gb ram 3200mhz, ssd, game run UE5 at 50-60fps
depends on the environment
(I capped fps at 60 by RivaTuner) everything in EPIC,
except distance, effect and foliage, disabled volumetric. Honestly, AWESOME job for Adeptus Steve and his team, keep the great job!!.

Btw, I'm actually going to ignore this thread entirely for a few months, for real this time, just to see the progress after that. Let's see if something significant and meaningful happens in the meanwhile, or will it be the same ol' "added moar animations" type of progress? We'll see.
15 months has passed after this post. There is still no "game" to play here.
I have a question for all the supporters of this "game".
What does G stand for in RPG?
Untitled.PNG
Can any of you honestly say this "game" is not a scam after more than fucking 7 years of development when game part of this "game" still doesn't exist?
Why is this "game" still nothing more than a glorified animation viewer even after more than fucking 7 years of development?
Are you guys still wanting to create "sandbox" maps which no one will "play" for more than 10 minutes?

I get the skepticism. Right now, the sandbox mode is way ahead of the story mode, which is where the meat of the RPG experience is supposed to be. It's easy to look at this and think maybe the devs aren't delivering what they promised. In this digital age, where we know internet people by their nicknames and profile pics, it's almost second nature to jump to conclusions based on what we see on the surface. And from your post, it feels like maybe there's a bit of that. Have you dived a bit deeper? Like, checking out Steve's YouTube channel, hanging out on the official Discord to chat with both devs and the community, or catching Steve's streams on Picarto? Or even visiting the company behind the project at their offices? You might be surprised to find it's not just an empty building space and radio silence.

So before we toss around serious accusations, it’s probably best to gather a fuller picture. Again, it’s easy to say "it's been X years, where’s Y?", but remember, Wild Life is funded through platforms like Patreon and recently SubscribeStar. These are for backing ongoing projects, not buying finished games. Even the word "Creating" before the game's name on these platforms is a big hint that it's a work in progress. Consider where this project started as well, Steve kicked it off with his 3D animation skillset and slowly grew it from animations to an actual game over time until later down the road it had a solid demo along with the sandbox editor, but then they basically had to reboot the whole thing after switching to a new engine. So, yeah, can we put down the pitchforks now?

About the gameplay, sure, the sandbox editor, which lets you create your own scenes and interactions, might not be everyone's cup of tea when it comes to traditional gaming. But it's still a form of interactive entertainment that a lot of supporters really enjoy. It's a different way to play, but that doesn’t make it any less valid or fun. It can be a quick and dirty 5 minute animation viewer (what's wrong with that?), or you can spend 69 minutes putting together some props and characters for a stepmother porn scene. It will entertain you either way.

Skepticism? Accusations? Your post is nothing more than a bunch of excuses for lack of gameplay after fucking 7 years of development. You talk like you know everything while you accuse me of not knowing anything. Game development doesn't take 7 fucking years, no matter what. Yes, exceptions like rdr2 exists but they are exceptions. If you want to compare exceptions like rdr2 to wl go ahead and see how that doesn't work in your favor. Also here is what is wrong with an animation viewer, the said animation viewer claims to be an rpg. Do you even know what rpg means?

Well, RDR2 had around 1600 people working on it, a budget that's been estimated at between US$170 and US$240 million, and it was developed by a studio who had been doing games since 1998. I don't think it's really an apples-to-apples comparison.

Entire porn game industry is full of patreon scammers because of people like you. Yes lets bury our heads in sand and pretend lies and scams are ok. You know what? Let's encourage them!
"Patreon scammers" when they literally allow their pirated content to thrive in a porn game piracy forum? ESPECIALLY after they allowed US PIRATES access to their discord where you can get free maps and character presets? Let me remind you that WildLife is the most viewed, most replied porn game here for GOOD reason.

It's not some shitty, half-baked Virtual Novel some programming dropout made by themselves. Yes, the story isn't good; I personally don't play for the actual game; I PLAY for the sandbox, but at least they are making a campaign/story mode.

ALSO, in terms of the ENTIRE porn game industry, NOONE holds a candle to WL.

BRING IT ON THOUGH! Give me one porn game better than WL! The only games I can think of are the following: Holy Knight Ricca, any Illusion game (but at the end of the day, they're all convoluted scene viewers where you have to install a fuckton of mods), Paralogue, and Biohazard Arena. DON'T even fucking mention Subverse because this does not even fucking compare to that dogwater, dogshit game.

Allowed? Do you seriously think piracy forums ask for permissions of developers :KEK:
I couldn't care less about a shitty discord server with shitty maps. No offense to those "map creators" but none of them have any value, I've downloaded bunch of them, "played" them for like 10 minutes, got bored and never "played" them again. No one would lose anything if that server didn't exist or stopped existing at some point.

Let me remind you that WildLife is the most viewed, most replied porn game here for GOOD reason.
Graphics. There is no other reason. Porn game industry is in such a bad state people are paying whenever they see a "game" like WL that has decent graphics.

It's not some shitty, half-baked Virtual Novel some programming dropout made by themselves.
You are right, this game is not some shitty half-baked Virtual Novel. It is some shitty half-baked glorified 3d animation viewer.

I PLAY for the sandbox
Oh you PLAY sandbox? Explain me some of the game mechanics since you claim to be PLAYING it? Or were you meaning to say "I place a bunch of npc's with sex animations on an empty map and call it a game"

ALSO, in terms of the ENTIRE porn game industry, NOONE holds a candle to WL.
You know what? Honey Select 2 has more gameplay than Wild Life. It also has a much better scene creator than WL. And it was released back in 2020. Honey Select 2 was advertised as a sex sim, meanwhile WL is advertised as an RPG(ROLE PLAYING GAME).

Give me one porn game better than WL!
I can give you hundreds of them because in the end all of them are games because you can PLAY them, not just put some npc's on an empty map then WATCH sex animations without doing anything.

any Illusion game (but at the end of the day, they're all convoluted scene viewers where you have to install a fuckton of mods)
Wait a second, do you think a game having mod support and an active modding community is a bad thing? Lol, I've played atleast a few of illusion titles. Majority of them are better games than WL. AI Shoujo in particular even lets you build your own buildings etc and it actually has GAMEPLAY, not just building but also survival.

DON'T even fucking mention Subverse because this does not even fucking compare to that dogwater, dogshit game.
Subverse is a better game than WL because it has actual gameplay. WL is not even a game, it is a glorified sex animation viewer. You start on a map, place a few structures, place a few characters, let those characters play sex animations and then you WATCH. There are no gameplay mechanics, game part of this RPG doesn't exist. Infact RP(ROLE PLAYING) part doesn't exist either. Games made with rpg maker like Karryn's Prison has more role playing in it compared to WL.

Yes, we get it. You care about gameplay, which is fine. The average sandbox enjoyer doesn't, which is also fine. You pay or you don't pay to support or not support WL and you decide whether to play or not to play. For me personally, the animations, user friendly sandbox controls, customizing options like hairs and clothing don't come fast enough to consider putting any money in it.

WL may have a slow development but it is a far cry from actual scams.
