To be fair that was like mine craft graphics but yeah, 10 years with what they make? They can easily make this quicker. Even patreon taking their cut and unreal taking theirs, they still have mine a little over $500k.

That's a very old build from two years ago now I think. I don't even remember what was in that build, but it's pretty much certain that the latest build will have more content. You'll have to check that build yourself to see if it has things they since removed, though, which is not unlikely.

Haven't played the latest version yet, but that looks like a thing you get when you go to sleep.
They have come a long way in those two years. The only point I see in this build is demonstrating that fact.

Apart from that I guess it would be a good idea of marking it as derelict so nobody gets confused.

They've optimized the engine several times, changed the body physics a few times over.
The game world has been remade at least two times.
They've also remade the flight model at least once.

If you want to complain about what they've done, I suggest you and everyone else who likes to complain get together and make a porn game as good looking as this one

Then you have some cause for complaints and we have another good-looking porn game to masturbate to.
Are you sure they work on the Engine Core themselves, looking at all the missing things i would say not yet and looking at still some performance related things i would say it still is heavily Blueprint.

Definitely this project can't be compared with for example Kingdom Come Deliverance in those regards or a full Self Adapted Unreal Engine Branch yet like most AAA Unreal Engine License using.
It shows the core of Epics Branch Advances though nicely :)

But they have a really great Art Team Core and that really shows so far im a big fan of the Maya based Animation work results and the World and Character Design and some of the really nice working Mechanics so far.
You don't Design a Open World in 1,2 or even 3 years especially not with a limited Team and make it a coherent visual experience with some Artistic Language behind it.
See how Long Square Enix needs with 100 of employees several teams working on Final Fantasy or Rockstar on GTA and Red Dead Redemption or Bethesda on Fallout, Skyrim or Ubisoft Teams (those are many studios working together and sharing knowledge) for Assasins Creed,FarCry,WatchDog, so in those regards Wild Life Advanced visibly and is one of my overall favorite Independent Unreal Projects that tries todo Open World which you overall won't find many trying it on that scope at all, Open World is massively complex the most complex task you can put your project on you must have real guts todo it to practically proof a Engine Core your Team and the whole Workflow is ready for it.
Yet the most successful was Kingdom Come Deliverance but that is a really well trained Team that wanted to go Independent like CD Project Red and no new Team that is coming to life like we see in Wild Life on a Engine that was some years ago on it's own base unthinkable to use in a Open World Production and even more worse then something like Creation Engine Bethesda uses for virtually Decades now with so many refactoring to make it all work, you might add (more or less) and holding it with a lot of glue together before moving the whole Team to a new Core finally someday (probably one of the most advanced core of them all by that time, whenever that transition should finalize) ;)

Honestly I think the issue is they started this solely as a cash grab porn, but realized that what they actually had could be great but now they have to rethink everything. Original script and blueprint is gone. Gotta make a new one. If anyone has made a large scale project, trashing the plan and making a new one is so time consuming.

We are actually creating our own systems in c++ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So no, we dont rely heavily on blueprints.

and from the very first beginning we wanted to create an adult rpg with decent gameplay and sex, so what Jodi is saying is just not the case.

I'm fairly sure that the direction the game is going right now was always the plan. At least I don't remember a time where it was meant as just an animation viewer if that's what you're saying.

I was only using conjecture because as it stands there is and has never been game play or story. This project has been a showcase of great animation and some pretty damn good character creation but that is about it. I mean world creating is okay but it's very bland. Water is great looking but with the new unreal engine you can achieve that due to them getting quixel.

Let's be honest, what else is this other than an animation and detail showcase? Don't get me wrong, this has massive potential, massive. But you don't even have good quest lines created; let alone a general arc storyline. What's that gonna take if you just keep creating animations for a game that isn't an animation showcase? 10 more years?

So I'm wondering if there is any plans/mention of making the animations a bit more flexible and not entirely dependent on skeleton x doing skeleton y for certain type of animation to play if that makes any sense? I'm just used to illusion games giving you all the options with any character.

I've backed several games and even done a bit of game development as hobby to know the process. I've seen games where they rushed towards the end goal only to end up remaking the whole game from scratch.
What Adeptus Steve and his team are doing right now is making Lego blocks. Once all the necessary blocks are have been tested and finished, they can easily be assembled into a complete game. The animations, the few quests, small village etc. are proof of concepts. Multiply them and add dialog and you've got a game with a story.

P.S. I hope they add some bondage. They could even tie it into a quest where you have to capture someone (and have your way with them :D).

Did anyone notice, that the developers added in a fourth Salivarius animation? ;)
Btw.: The new content trailer also looks pretty compared to the ones before. It's fascinating to watch the progress so far.
