Its not for the light computer. I would say like an i5 and gtx 600 series plus to run minimum. Someone else could correct me, as my system is way over qualified.

i think the xmas build is not only for VR. I dont have VR and it works fine

Interesting, perhaps I had a different version, because I do not remember having a readme or a list of controls anywhere. (Tried the usual F1, F2, etc...) Nothing on my keyboard had any effect on the game so I uninstalled that version pretty quick. Maybe I'll try again.

I'm willing to bet I downloaded the "Patreon 25$ Christmas VR Feature" which is why nothing worked for me xD Whoops

I believe there isn't any build that has a functioning save mechanic. There really is no reason to save anyway because there is no story or progression. This game is not a visual novel, look at the tags.
You look around where you encountered the panther and pick them up.

You press P to recover, or, stand back up. If you hit the ground too hard while flying your character will turn into a glitch noodle and never land on the ground.
