Patreon going nuclear on porn is always a possibility, yes. But I was comparing the steady income to the regular development cycle, where you are given a certain amount of funds and are expected to deliver something that returns the investment and then some in a certain timespan. What they're currently doing with all those experiments is more akin to the conceptual phase where devs try out some rough ideas and decide to go for that which looks the most promising. Not sure actually how "safe and steady" the income is. The more "woke" the US gets (the HQ of Paypal is there and is I think the primary system used by Patreon), the more likely Paypal/Patreon will shut down any pornographic creators. Then what? Most creators that go to SubscribeStar make a fraction of what they used to make on Patreon before patreon shut down their stuff. So, if Paypal did shut down AdeptusSteve's patreon, would they actually be able to generate enough funds to keep the company afloat? After all, no one expected Tumblr to crack down on Pornography, until they did.
Otherwise totally agree with you. The gameplay aspects are going nowhere and they can't seem to decide what kind of RPG it will be (ie TPS RPG, Tribal-Era RPG, Dark-Souls Esque RPG, RPG with restrictive porn, Porn with restrictive RPG, etc...). Even the porn, has some really antiquated animations in it; like the Minotaur throne animations, that aren't really good and has the Minotaur sitting in midair.
I dunno what I think of Max, other than he is pretty cocksure, despite having nothing really to be cocksure about. I'm not really a fan of Maya either, because I'm not into the "tribal" females, and she is quite tribal looking. Plus she has crushed butt and boobs, which is a symptom of the non-universal meshes.
Yeah I don't think they know what they want either. The porn is the biggest selling point, but it does seem to be taking a backburner now to the other aspects.
Indeed, there are a couple of 3D titles on here developed by only one guy that show more promise at least in terms of the story/narrative and some gameplay mechanics. Wild Life have a half decent sized team and still the only really good thing about this game is the quality of the sex animations and some of the physics implemented.Slow development cycle is quite the understatement. Its nice that they have so many sex animations, but I've seen 2 person teams develop gameplay systems faster than this. True they weren't doing any complex animations, but making good gameplay, narratives and making your choices feel meaningful, they certainly got done faster.
Also consider, that you have to pay a shitload of taxes for your crowdfunded income...Technically in the grand scheme of things, they aren't making that much money. It is just a lot of money for a pornographic title and its a lot of money for those of us not making that kind of cash each month.
Considering that in Germany the average salary for a programmer, is 50,000 Euros (Link =You must be registered to see the links), which is roughly 60,000 USD per year, or per month it is $5,000. Not sure how many staff they have, but if they had 15 staff, that would be 75,000 USD per month. Then they'd also have to pay for their lease, electricity costs, occasional computer breakdown, entertainment/food for off-time, and computer upgrades. So the actual amount in the "green" isn't as much as you may think.
Very few people build games for the love of the community. Not sure what this argument has to do with anything. Plus, the developers of Wild Life only "tolerates" this community, but doesn't actually "love" it.
Pocahontas in space isn't that exciting to me tbh. They're also talking in very broad terms and there's always the option to ditch this vision for the next, which they have already done in the past. I'm not a huge fan of stories in porn games because they mostly suck donkey balls considering they inevitably need to lead to sex whether it makes sense or not. There's a few exceptions but in those cases the porn plays a very minor role. Also splitting the game into Human x Human only and having a patreon exclusive addon for all the Kerpali stuff seems like a bad idea to me. I might've actually bought the game when it releases but I'm not willing to pay two times just to get all the content, no thanks kind sir.Faraway Son

Most likely the pc, radeon vega graphics are not good enough for this game, probably need a dedicated graphics card for it.I get 10 fps with all settings in low, i have an AMD ryzen 5 3400g with radeon vega graphics 3.7 GHz. Have i need to do extra steps or is just the pc?
He is using an iGPU(Vega) that came bundled with his Ryzen 5 3400g... not the fault of AMD... 10-20fps is what he is gonna get.cpjnoa

2] AMD aren't generally good with UE4.
3] Your card doesn't have dedicated Video RAM, but shares with the computer's RAM.
I'm going to say that you need a new computer for this title.
