Minimum content intervals for maximum patreon payout is sadly the norm now with porn games. Patreon and the like was so good for our corner of the world initially, but "developers" couldn't help themselves and took advantage of both the system and their fans. Gonna be interesting to see how it turns out eventually.

I'm not sure about "performance targets," but if I can run a game on high-to-max settings and have it run good, that's all I need.
As for the games in particular, it might be "unfair" to compare Wild Life to stuff that's "professionally" developed, but off the top of my head, games like Final Fantasy XIV, Tekken 7, and Guilty Gear -Strive- are all miles ahead graphically and I can run them looking great and playing smoothly (minus one area in FFXIV... under a certain lighting condition that thankfully got removed permanently as part of the storyline.) Hell, in Killer Instinct there's characters whose projectiles shit out a million particle effects on impact and my comp won't even worry about it. Granted, some of these games also have stylistic choices that makes me consider them to be "better-looking" (FFXIV and Guilty Gear, particularly) but at the same time a good aesthetic also matters.

If you want a less "professional" example, I'd say... Breeders of the Nephelym, as "meh" as that game is, looks vaguely better and runs better than this. Has its own issues of course, like the reused face model on all the women, but in terms of graphics and aesthetics I prefer it over this game, and most importantly I can run it on Ultra settings without issue. (Also the controls don't make me want to rip my limbs off, which is a plus)

Ok i rather compare it currently with Final Fantasy XV not the MMO optimization of Luminous in Final Final Fantasy XIV , i can though understand what you mean but as you said artistic style optimzation.
And there will be still more Performance coming for Wild-Life and better (more advanced) scaleability options for more systems im pretty sure of that.
But i agree you currently have very limited choice to adapt this and we just now saw the first glimpse of what will make the start of optimization for more target systems possible.

Uncensored 10 dollar patreon version... What does that mean? There is no censorship even in regular build.

In any case even though I do enjoy scrolling through animations and all that I think it would be about time to start developing the game, not just adding more animations. This way it's going nowhere.

But that game looks like world of warcraft... I guess at that point we are talking about personal taste because I really dont like the graphics of botn and prefer wild life much much more.
At least you pointed out yourself that comparing games with 50x the budget, 100+ developers, way more time and pre-existing pipelines, tools, asset libraries and established franchises with all the perks that come along to a game made by like 15 people funding themselves through patreon might be a bit unfair...

So many people here throw complaints about how slow these devs are and how dumb of a funding system patreon is... why? Whats the alternative? A great utopia where the best sex games ever just grown on trees and all your wishes are fulfileld by the selfless AAA developers of adult genre? Get realistic...
The real alternative is no patreon, no wild life, no breederes of the nephelym, no f95. Thanks but no thanks. Id rather have slow patreon devs that at least make something I can enjoy for what it is than none at all.

Also you see me Driving Wild-Life currently at 30 fps where my Final Fantasy XV results would be almost clean 60 but Wild-Life can run also at 60
So it can run in the Range of Final Fantasy XV and that is a nice benchmark and overall target goal to compare with

They get $103,993 a month, $1.2 million dollars a year (give or take after taxes) and still cant put a story in the game after almost 5 years of development. Straight up cash grab and ive been following this game since the begining.

This is why you don't support the game on patreon .. instead, if you like it and think it is going somewhere .. look for it on itch.io or steam .. support it with a one time buy-in. If it isn't there .. let it ride

Eh, I've never complained about Patreon. People have to get funded somehow.
But I do think criticism is warranted, when the devs make $100k per month, and four years in, when all that seems to be in the changelogs for each update is "sex scene with ugly monsterman and hot lady added. added another sex scene to a different previously-existing ugly monsterman and different hot lady." I see minimal quality-of-life improvements, but no fixes or changes to actually make the game more enticing to play. After years I see nothing resembling a cohesive story, just different areas to spawn into, talk to an NPC, and then have sex with as both characters clip slightly into the floor.

...and? While it is lacking in content, the only reason I brought it up was that it looks better (in my opinion), and runs better on its respective highest graphics settings. I could go on my own separate rant about things I find disappointing about BotN but this isn't really the thread for that. The BotN patreon also has a not-insignificant 4,000-ish less patrons than Wild Life's but I'd still rather play its limited content than whatever the fuck's going on in this game.

it always sound bad to mix sex and minigames together. i m not the only one thinking that.

I don't really follow development of this game too closely, I download newest build like once per year. Also I don't want to be toxic or attack devs but from my perspective, looking back and checking change log... well I must agree that patrons should expect more. With serious and constant founding they are really still just a sandbox with some minimal gameplay. I get it that it takes time but looking how things are going we are looking for 10+ years project... Even for small team that too much time for things to go south somehow. And then it all will go to waste.

What I fear is happening here is that devs are OK with that development way and people accept it because they do not see any way to change it. That is sad because it clearly can become so much more then 90% of games here.

What is most tragic here is that devs are really also hurting themselves. With slow but steady raising of porn games as major game type in recent years it is clear there is space for good comapnies that give us high quality porn games. They could have been one of early stars in that field and profit from that in coming years by having such project completed under their belt. It would give them resources, experience, community and potential investors. If they do not motivate themselfs and finish this game in coming years as full, high quality games others will take their place and we will end with another uncompleted wasted gem to be forgoten.

Why does it sound bad those minigames bring the interactive way to experience the sex with the character inside of the Story progression instead of just seeing a simple passive scene play out you are playing the scene.
It depends on how you realize this granted it is currently in a very early stage.

As a Full Sandbox interaction wouldn't really fit into the Story Progression you need a more linear path but still grant some interactivity

I would find it rather more disturbing if someone would say hey lets do Quick time Sex scenes, tough maybe it's even interesting to use the same Console concept just for a good bit of variety as well im pretty sure steven could work out some excellent quick time event scene playouts like smash the button the right time to anal fuck or miss it

Im not sure if you understand in Minigames something like a Simon Game where solving it the sex Plays out that would be really awkward

From what I understand you can spawn one (1) NPC dickgirl who has a very limited amount of content.
