Been switching levels and testing in the showroom. I have crashed 5 times while doing different things. The most unstable version that I personally have tested.

I'm wondering, and hoping someone here knows. But is there any real vision to gameplay and story events of the game?

It's great for blank slate sandbox fun, really. But I recall a while ago when I first tried this game, it had a bit of a story mode where you as Max where stranded and made your way to the fisher village where you had some small quests and events with the people present.
That got switched out with a far larger map that seems to be slowly getting filled in, but with far more rudimentary graphics and gameplay so far.

Given the kinds of characters that are present, there is really potential for some nice building on and around the island I feel, and I'm very excited about the idea.
So I'm wondering if the devs are putting any amount of vision and effort into that direction, or if it's more about this becoming the ultimate modder's canvas.

Basically, what direction is this game developing into?
