I think the criticism stems from the fact that you have essentially remade the game 3(4?) times, you keep trying new ideas which means any progress you previously made is throw-away instead of iterated on. This gives the impression your not building up to anything and it ~feels~ like you're unsure what you are even making anymore - but of course - none of that is stopping you from collecting your patreon every month - from my perspective - It seems like you just expect people to fund your forever-prototyping development process and never criticize anything, as if you have optimized your workflows perfectly and anyone who challenges anything is just bad faith or too stupid to understand the complexities of Blueprint and Keyframing. The result? When have we said we are finished? Thats wishful thinking by a bunch of delulus in here who just want us to "FINSH THE GAME RIGHT FUCKING NOW" as if the remaining shit left to do is just sitting on our shelves just waiting for us to click the "finish game" button. Thats a level of willful misinformation I see no point in dealing with.
If I compare this to Carnal Instincts which is far from a completed experience, in the last two years they have gone from what your game used to be (an empty open world of sex scene finding) to a fully fleshed out story with quests / voice acting. It's still a very shallow experience but I can at least see a vision being acted on.
EDIT:
The whole "we aren't finished yet" argument loses a lot of it's value when your development process is being funded by crowd sourcing (your customers) and "we aren't finished yet" is actually a proxy for "we never keep our deadlines, we have no consistent road map, we constantly change direction and we expect you to fund this process forever"
