The result? When have we said we are finished? Thats wishful thinking by a bunch of delulus in here who just want us to "FINSH THE GAME RIGHT FUCKING NOW" as if the remaining shit left to do is just sitting on our shelves just waiting for us to click the "finish game" button. Thats a level of willful misinformation I see no point in dealing with.
I think the criticism stems from the fact that you have essentially remade the game 3(4?) times, you keep trying new ideas which means any progress you previously made is throw-away instead of iterated on. This gives the impression your not building up to anything and it ~feels~ like you're unsure what you are even making anymore - but of course - none of that is stopping you from collecting your patreon every month - from my perspective - It seems like you just expect people to fund your forever-prototyping development process and never criticize anything, as if you have optimized your workflows perfectly and anyone who challenges anything is just bad faith or too stupid to understand the complexities of Blueprint and Keyframing.

If I compare this to Carnal Instincts which is far from a completed experience, in the last two years they have gone from what your game used to be (an empty open world of sex scene finding) to a fully fleshed out story with quests / voice acting. It's still a very shallow experience but I can at least see a vision being acted on.

EDIT:
The whole "we aren't finished yet" argument loses a lot of it's value when your development process is being funded by crowd sourcing (your customers) and "we aren't finished yet" is actually a proxy for "we never keep our deadlines, we have no consistent road map, we constantly change direction and we expect you to fund this process forever"

This post belongs in the Louvre. Thanks for encapsulating the dynamic with so many crowdfunded projects around here.

Why the fuck some people here continue sayin' "sandbox" "sandbox game" "sandbox mode" OMG... It is not sandbox, PLEASE STOP! There is a "playable" studio for creating scenes.
Yes, that's called a "sandbox" in most games: a studio in which you can play with the game's assets without playing the game's primary story/environment.

what i see it's that the game has 10k+ patrons right now. and i checked a few day ago it was still under 10k. which is quite huge for a porn game. knowing that you can cancel a patreon anytime, apparently lot of people appreciate the actual sandbox. maybe the deceived first hour patrons may accept that the sandbox is very popular

IMHO I don't really GAF about the story, I'm 99.9% a sandbox player. I love creating my own little custom scenes.
The only thing I would wish, that it would be easier to do so. ATM It's kind of a chore building logic / writing LUA to make cool scenes. More streamlined tools are needed.
Keep making more Scenes, Maps , Characters, Props. Unreal updates to make thing look even better. Unreal 5.6 is soon out btw with major improvements. Keep Improving the Sandbox at all costs.

Also it would be great if we could create NPC routines to make our Sandbox creations more alive. For example it would be fun if two NPCs would be able to start randomly screwing ..

Just my two cents.

Hello Purple_heart, I don't like nicknames, I would call you madam, I rarely be mistaken, you want Steve to this point?
Recognize that his game is good, but it lacks finish is normal, very good sandbox surely the best. Bon ass game
I am confirmed to say it, would you prefer to forget .........
....... No.
Give your opinion, do not get mad here we discuss, friendly, I know there are things, we don't care

first calling OP/dev an imbecile looks like trolling to me. second no offense but the post you made contains lot of errors.
first as explained before, not switching to UE5 which offers more powerful tools would only be made by (again no offense) an imbecile, or someone that has no clue of development under UE. third you say there are no tuts for UE5, this is false. they're hundreds of tuts on Epic sites as well as on Youtube.
the problem is that most of people who critizise have no clue of what it is to develop a game. especially open worlds. most people think watch youtube, do few extra hours after you main job, and do a great game. developping a game is very complex thing. not difficult but extremelly time consuming. this is why i think anyone trying to make a video game should be respected before bashed. getting stick with UE4 has a name, it's called suicide.
I don't want to derail that thread into something too technical neither. if OP, or a mod think the things are getting too technical, and this is not the place to discuss of those things, just tell me
That is a lot of markeing bs. The sheer number of UE4 tuts is huge just coz there was enough time for thousands of people to try it, play with it, to ask questions and to get answers. UE5 will never get there - just because it is too young - and those clowns already mentioned UE6 prerelease a few times. And because of prices shitshow - nowadays UE5 project require more expensive hardware. And because the ancient art of Optimization is almost forbidden knowledge now - nobody gives a f about it.

"More powerful tools" - literally a citation from Epic marketing wordflood. WHAT TOOLS EXACTLY?
No, let me rephrase it. What are those powerful ue5 tools, that they will make a difference in INDIE PORN GAME ? Let me tell you a secret - nobody will mourn if there will be 100 polygons in every tree in a forest instead of 500 polygons. Raytracing? Automatically placed lights instead of point light placed by hands? Nobody gives a f. Even if there will be no actual lights and shadows in caves, but there will be hot encounters - nobody will give a damn.
It is not AAAAAAAA title (according to the Yves Guillemot scale).
Nanites are good thing - if you have a squadron of fulltime Epic Game devs in your pocket, available on demand. Same with Lumen. Same with 60% marketing shit. Not because it is bad - but because it is required in very different kind of projects. Immersive sims. Titles from 2000 employes studios, or huge companies who try to sell another version PrayStationStitchBox XIX.
This is a porn game from indie studio. People expect different kind of things from games like that.
A-a-and - hardware thing again. UE5 and UE4 have different system requirements. And according to steam statistics, top tier hadware is not majority among the players around a world. Lower system requirements = more potential customers.

If people do stupid shit, they are called stupid. Sad but true. When peolpe do stupid shit and other people don't call them stupid - concord is born. Or Skull-n-bones. Or AC Shadows. Their number is legion.

Can this game be optimized perfectly? Of course! Will indie studio have enough resources to do that? I doubt it. It is very hard work without obvious results.
Even big companies fail to optimize modern projects more often than not - because from the point of earning money it is better to start new project, than to polish an older one.

I asked ChatGPT to compare the success of Palworld with the failure of Wild Life, and to write an essay outlining what the developers of Wild Life did wrong, and what they could've done differently to achieve success comparable to Palworld's creators. Here's the result. I've underlined the parts I personally believe the developers of Wild Life should pay close attention to.

Could be great to have, on scene mode, when you are selecting characters, not only a preset selection, but even the chance for a poser selection. In this way, you can upload not only a preset, but even a variation pose. Like, on bj scene for max, to upload a crossed arm pose instead of the standard one, or a guarding with guns pose.
