If you start a new game, it should offer you to create the name. However, it does not have a panel of letters, just a text box, so read it carefully so you don't skip over it.
I think you are still restricted to 4 letters though.

I did mod my game to allow for this to happen anywhere the uncle can go, what I did was essentially either removed or changed the if statement within the game that detects whether you are within his sight or not. It does break a lot and state sex (devoted, horny etc) doesn't trigger since its separate from the detection system.
if anyone wants that let me know and i'll see if i can whip up my common events and instructions to go along with it

NEW RELEASE: MacOS v1.0 Unofficial Port of Winter Memories
Includes the game with a pre-modded save. Made for ARM (M-series) macs. This is the official version v1.08 ported to MacOS by me. Hasn't been heavily tested, there are likely bugs. Feel free to pin this download to main post. If the app doesn't open for you, follow the instructions in README.txt to remove the quarantine.

Alright, here is the instructions and the common events file:

and make sure to backup your own Common Events File (located in Winter Memories/www/data) it is extremely important to keep a clean backup of your own Common Events File as this mod breaks alot
2. Replace your Common Events File with the one here AFTER you've made sure that you have definitely backed up your clean Common Events file
3. Enjoy your new sex life while uncle watches all oblivious

This works anywhere uncle can go, let me know if there's anything that breaks and I'll see if I can find a way to fix it

thanks, i found 3 bugs:
when you invite someone to the hotel it crashes or you have to end the event.
the hypnosis option doesn't work if the uncle is nearby
the vigilance increases even if you are fucking the girl in front of him.
got it, I'll try to replicate it on my end for the first and last, the 2nd one doesn't work at the moment because the code for the hypnosis/state sex is separate from the vision check, that requires a bit more tracing on my end and my japanese is a bit limited.
For now though, you can activate the silence skill to stop vigilance from increasing as a temporary fix.
EDIT: before anyone asks if I tried to set it as if you were in the recollection room, I have and no it doesn't work because uncle disappears and can only be summoned in certain places. The only way I can see it working is if there was a way to know the numbers for the locations and allow for inputs to change the location number, that requires adding onto the common events file and that thing is impossible to add to without breaking alot of things
I have a problem, it completely broke my game (I have a save of the real game so don't panic), could you tell me why it does that?
I'm not too sure on what exactly is causing the mod to be unstable but I have two guesses, one is that RPGM can't handle this complex of a system so there are times when RPGM just collapses under the weight. the other is that there's a possibility that the dev put in a check to prevent modding in the game.
It's more likely that RPGM is being pushed to its limit with Winter Memories than the dev putting in a check and wasting resources for that. Could be wrong though, whenever I edit the common events file and try to save it, it would always corrupt it, rendering the game unplayable."
This is also why Summer Memories is much easier to mod because of how lean that game was, you could continue to add to the common events file with no problem at all

I think it's fine, the only problem is that to access the hotel the girl must invite you, since it's not possible if Boku calls her.

can you be more specific? if your referring to the coward mod then use the search function its there for a reason, if your referring to the cuck chair mod it literally a few post above
Yeah I see, the game itself is quite complex for an engine like that But since it doesn't seem to work on my game could you send me the files of your game if the folder works on yours? Maybe the problem comes from my game for a reason that escapes me [I cracked it so maybe that's why?]
check if your common events file size is 0 mb, if it is, that means it broke you will have to replace the common events file with the one that I sent again
otherwise, the issue might be something else, I'll see if i can upload my game files in a bit, just a bit busy is all
