I think with ReiPatcher it keeps a cache of all the lines it processed in the "AutoTranslator" folder. If someone actually bothered playing through the entire game and included that before they uploaded these then less if any lines would need to be queried online. Is there a way to make the translation offline accesable?
The claim that certain translation groups won't pick up a MTL doesn't come from nowhere. I've seen it myself on some of the big name translation blogs way back in the Monster Girl boom. Though I don't know if any of those groups still exist, I do recall that many of them weren't native Japanese speakers either. Many titles were more or less edited and localized from MTL, but groups avoided working on what other groups were already working on/have worked on, for various reasons. At the time and arguably even now, unedited MTLs were heavily frowned upon because anyone who was willing to sift through MTL ran ChiiTrans or similar auto-translating programs. Is it? Game getting more exposure actually increases chances of proper translation if someone actually interested in translating it takes note of it's existence. And then again translation scene for such games is really small and expecting that "if no one touches the game with MTL it will eventually be translated" speaking nicely - Naive as hell. Reminds me of other torrent trackers where ppl complain "why so many indie trash games released lately? where are good games?" and cant apparently warp their head around the fact that getting less indie games not going to lead to more AAA releases. Those are separate things. Same is with MTL translations.
That is not true, translators and companies rather focus on stuff that is untranslated even if the existing "translation" is garbage. Is it? This is only true of games that companies like Kagura will touch. There are games out there even they will not translate, MTL or not. Unfortunately, we will see many a company refuse certain games based on content they possess that certain groups would cancel them for. Companies in the west fear being canceled more than the missed opportunity of a translation of a game they would be canceled for. Before 2020 or whenever the plague of cancel culture came into existence, I would agree, but there are even anime with zero realism getting the cancel treatment for things they possess, so games are not immune and companies like Kagura know that. That is not true, translators and companies rather focus on stuff that is untranslated even if the existing "translation" is garbage.
You literally get at least one official release monthly (usually more than one) by companies like Kagura, MG and JAST. There is literally no point in mtls any longer aside from trolling people and ruining the games chances of getting an official translation.
Agreed to this statement Cancel Culture is much stronger in Australia - hell even Sword Art Online is now considered CP thereThis is only true of games that companies like Kagura will touch. Exactly, has anybody else seen how Twitter exploded over Redo of Healer? Anything like that and the game will get anyone who touches it publicly canceled. The companies don't want to risk it, so they won't translate it. MTL is not only our best option besides a freelance translator, it is our ONLY option without a freelance translator. The ones on here are busy with other things and most of the others hang out on forums that are much less open to certain content.Agreed to this statement Cancel Culture is much stronger in Australia - hell even Sword Art Online is now considered CP there
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment.Ugh another auto translation. Normally I would just not say anything about MTL, but I have a big issue with auto translations specifically. Every auto translation I've played is constantly missing text, doesn't translate on various text heavy locations, and/or errors out and leaves a blank space instead of keeping the Japanese text (which I could at least try to read with my limited understanding). At least with manual pre-translated mtl I could bear with or laugh at the shitty dialogue.
I REALLY wish we could start at least clarifying in the language tag that it's "English (Auto MTL)". Considering it requires an internet connection, and the problems with auto MTL I don't think it's unreasonable.
Look in the top left corner, there is a bar with a fire icon that fills with blue, and a bar with a heart icon that fills with pink. If the blue bar reaches max (100/100) it ends, and the only way to reset it is by making the pink bar reach max (100/100).On a different note, is there a time limit to the second mode other than the turn counter? The screen faded after the second round of training and kicked me back to the menu. I'm tempted to wait for a save just because of that.
I handled the initial battle just fine, though I never got her H bar beyond 61, but the trial mode is giving me a tough time.
JAST released Sadistic Blood, Kagura is doing Demon Queen Melissa and MG did Maggot Baits. Doubt they fear any SJWs.This is only true of games that companies like Kagura will touch.
