My problem is that I can't really determine what I'd do with these girls on a day out as I don't feel like I know them well enough to form any possibilities. My default would be "Get a drink and try to get to know them" but that implies a mutual desire for such interaction. I may be misremembering, it's been a while, but IIRC the security team has only just been introduced and we know very little about them, and them the MC. Trying to date them, even as a casual hangout, seems premature.

Build 3 Progress Report and Release Intentions



Been a while since I've done one of these, but I wanted to let everyone know where we're at with the next release, as it's a VERY common question.

First off, I've made a lot of design changes to the game itself. A lot of people were suggesting that there be more content in each day, rather than just one or two scenes. So I've added some stuff. Each day is now something like four to six scenes, plus a nice little bonus at the end starting Tuesday. And this is the big feature I've been waiting to unveil.


Starting Tuesday evening, you'll be able to check your texts every evening via menu. The system I adopted isn't coded for choices at the moment, so the conversations will be linear... but I thought it could be a fun little way to get some extra story out of the day, and get to know the girls better through a different medium. And who knows, maybe a girl who is on the shy side in person might open up through text.

On top of this, I'm adding another menu on Saturdays that lets you go on optional quests to pursue the girls you're interested in. Fans of the game have been clamoring for more things to "do" rather than to just read the story I'm putting together, so I'm trying my best to make that happen.

Secondly, I'm aiming for a split release with this next week's worth of content. The first one will finish out Sunday of the last week, and include Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The second release will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.



Progress-wise, Monday and Tuesday are now almost completely scripted. I have 4 scenes left to go on Tuesday. Then I'll just need to script Wednesday, shoot all three days, convert and compress the images, and score the scenes. After that is bug testing, and then we're good to go on release. It's moving fast, so I anticipate a mid-May release for Patrons and June for everyone else. The second release will HOPEFULLY hit Patreon by July and August for everyone else. Barring more life disasters, of course.

So there you have it. A new release is right around the corner if I can focus this down and get it done. This next release may be a little light on the H-content, so I may have to figure out where I can sneak in a saucy scene or two. But thank you for reading, and for your patience and support.

Hey Victor, have you considered, since you often struggle to put H scenes on the game, to add H-scenes NOT involving the main characters?, sometimes the context of the characters and their story makes it harder to push a sex scene with them right away but maybe if it doesn't involve the main characters you can dispose a little bit of the context and just show us some sexy times. Of course, having Auron to watch porn, or have sex dreams is a possibility but since I happen to really like your writing, I though it would be even cooler to add some sort of secondary characters that aren't involved with the MC and his story at all, but they have they own little side story, much more lighthearted and filled with sexy times. They could be their own characters and have little banters between them to give context to the H-scene and then go for it.

You mean like you want him to spend time and effort and render.. random characters we've never seen before that have nothing to do with anything relating to the story? Uh.. why? I can't think of a bigger waste of time.

If you mean smaller characters in the story that aren't main ones.. that is it gets dangerously close to the infamous 3 letter tag, the most divisive, and prone to the biggest headaches for devs tag there is lol.

That's why I suggested adding extra characters to fulfill that arbitrary quota.

While I understand what you are suggesting, I think better advice to VictorSeven is to remind him that there isn't a quota and that many great games release with few lewd scenes in some updates. Some of the best AVN's on the site have one per update if that. Because what you are suggesting is also buying into the false idea of a false number of needed lewd scenes. And it is a suggestion that adds more work, not only in rendering/animating more scenes but creating whole new story lines and characters. Your advice would create more work for the developer to fulfill what you acknowledge is a false quota. In many ways you'd be asking for a second parallel game about new characters who are there to have cutaway scenes for sex content.

I get where you were going and what your intent was, I just think it wasn't super thought out (hence my meme response at first). That isn't an insult, so please don't take it as one, we've all been there. Posted something we thought about for a few seconds but then later turns out it might not have been a good idea.

As for your last paragraph I won't touch that besides saying two things:

One, any time a girl is shown in a lewd scene with another guy it begs the question of why the time was spent doing that when she could have been shown with the MC or just not at all. Or that time could have been spent making non-lewd scenes with another girl and the MC developing their relationship to get to the lewd bits. Edit: Many AVN's after all are created for male audiences and play into the male power fantasy. Hence why other males have little place in them.

And two, there are a lot of reasons that are deeply ingrained in the human psyche, in anthropology, and just in the nature of mammals as a type of creature for the seeming hypocrisy, which isn't really hypocrisy at all. If you'd like to discuss it we can in PMs but this thread isn't really the place for it.

For sure, I can only speak for myself, but the whole reason I play AVN's is to get story with the lewd stuff. My favorite games are the story driven ones and there are plenty of offerings on here that are filled with nonsense lewd stuff. One of my other top games right now has had its initial release and two updates and there has been one H-scene in each. And they haven't been small release either. I mean, you may get complaints from a few people, but I've seen games release small few hundred-word updates with almost exclusively lewd scenes and they still get complaints. "Why didn't this girl get a lewd scene," or "Why were the scenes so short," or all kinds of things. I think some people just love to complain and get their few minutes of notice on the thread for it.

Keep telling your awesome story and let the H-scene show up as they make sense.

it may sound a bit simple but:
i came for the diverse races tiddies and i stay for the awesome story.^^

the story doesn't need a metric ton of sex scenes. at least for me.
keeping up with the awesome story and great rendering is all its need. tbh, that will be hard enough because of the workload.
so far the only "non-MC" sex scene that i would see as story relevant would be between Chiara and Eshtel. if their relationship progress further that is. just because the mc helped out Chiara to get the ball rolling.^^

Shit, there's some games in my "Fav's" list that have NO H-scenes in them yet, or didn't when they made the list. Tell the story and let the sex fall where it fits. The end product is what matters, not each update.

I'm with the crowd saying quality content is preferred over quan-titties content. (I apologise for nothing.) For a start, I'd think the final result must take priority so whatever leads to a superior final outcome should be the primary concern, to a point. But as has been said, there's no quota per update.

Though, if you're really needing to slam in some T&A 'for the lads' then the new phone functionality would seem an obvious place. It doesn't need to be a full scene. Hi Ho Selfies with Flirting Away!

Also, for those that really want some extra sex in the game...the MC could easily just watch a porno on TV.

Late to the party, which is pretty normal for me, but figured I would add my 5 cents (adjusted for inflation)....

I am another one of those here for the story. Sure the lewdz are great, I didn't even know I had a goblin fetish until this story, but it is the story that is going to keep me coming back not the lewdz/h-scenes.

When it is all said and done though; someone is going to bitch no matter what you do, so might as well do what you feel is best
