Solid update. Was hoping for more content with Veda, but satisfied with what we got. Speaking of which, I found it odd how her demeanor suddenly switched from the aggressor (after the movie night) to seemingly turning into more of a submissive nature this update.

I understand the MC will be become the giga Chad eventually, but it would nice if some of the LIs remain aggressive as well in order to challenge the MC's stance. A little balance would be nice.

I'll talk a little about this, as you're absolutely right, Veda's demeanor is beginning to shift. There's a few reasons for this:

MC and Abigail mention (during the end harem talk) that the more the MC is around others, the more they "let their walls down" for him so to speak. So the closer MC and Veda gets, Veda is beginning to realize "Oh this isn't just some random lust because I'm a lonely single mother and widow" but rather something much, much more. Something else to consider is Veda just spent a lot of time with the MC in Zahir's room, and then is already texting him again a few hours later, so she's definitely getting deep in her feelings for him and understanding she doesn't need to be the "cold bitch that pushes everyone away", similar to how Beverly and Dani are starting to (or already) understand that about the MC. The following day, Veda would probably go back to being "cold" to everyone (including the MC), but the more she's around the MC, the more he "warms her up." Veda's final texts about the power were back to her... I don't want to say "usual" self but she was quite to the point about the power and then said goodnight with no extra fanfare, as all her feelings and emotions have since came down (not to mention what she did directly AFTER the text conversation while MC was in the bathroom lol)

The other reason, just to be transparent, is a meta reason: the truth is I'm too fucking slow as a developer lol. Me, you, many others, do not want to wait the YEARS it's seemingly going to take me to actually start getting to the sex parts, so LI progression has picked up the pace a bit. This was no one's decision but my own, after having a real hard conversation with myself about my dev cycles. I do hope to improve in this regard.

I really like this game, but it a real shame that in Chapter 5 you are forced to Text Beverly, who I have zero interesting at all. I think you should at least get a choice. Had to skip through that real quick; just hoping you are forced into anything else with her.

I personally love Beverly. But I too am concerned about the lack of real choices concerning love interests. I want a harem. But I'd like to be able to decide whose in it.

I mean it does say in the Dev notes that apart from the Mum and Sister that all other will be optional and avoidable, but so far it doesn't seem like that when you have to text for topless pics and then discuss about bringing them in to the family.

I'm very glad you reminded me of the Dev Notes section because I forgot to change that a while back. A lot of things from my original or early vision of the game did not pan out, and branching type things is something that got cut the more I understand "Oh I'm actually not any good at this coding thing. Or the Daz rendering thing." I'm truly just a writer at heart in way over my head with the other stuff (Daz and Ren'Py, no I will not accept any help or hire anyone, please don't inquire).

Wrestling Dynasty has the "VN" tag for a reason: it's almost entirely kinetic and has been throughout the game so far, not counting 2? choices I'd say where there is an actual "either/or" scenario (choosing to text Frank Jr back and choosing to shake Cam's hand). Other than that, there hasn't been any branches or choices because that's not what we're doing here.

So here's how the future harem/girls situation works: Are any LI's avoidable? Yes, but ONLY when it comes to the sex scenes themselves. All girls will be joining the harem regardless, because the girls in this game are actual characters with plenty of things to offer besides "I just exist as a sex option for the Player."

I cannot simply "write off" Beverly, for example, who is your bank manager and inherently intertwined with the MC, not just from being his bank manager but now also Beverly's daughter and three grandchildren are also going to fall for and join the harem. Yes there is a futa (trans, really) character, who is Robin, one of the Twins.

So to summarize: no character is skippable or avoidable, they're all joining the harem, I will still try my best to give options for sex scenes for anyone who isn't Melissa and Abigail. I'm not doing branching paths, I'm not doing routes, I'm not doing any of that shit because I'm too slow as a developer and I don't want to be any slower trying to worry about tracking variables and who is on what path and all this other shit. I'm not good at coding and being able to do all of this, and I'm not going to try something unless I'm confident I can pull it off, because unlike just having clipping issues or something in renders, coding errors can just break and fuck the game entirely, so... yeah. I know what my strengths are and this is not one of them, I apologize.

My irl memory is also extremely bad and I forget things all the time, like I'm pretty sure currently in the story, the MC will act like he texted Beverly and read Sam the Man's blog near the end of Chapter 4, even if you didn't choose those options, because I foolishly put a "skip these events" option and then just completely forgot I did that (learned my lesson for Chapter 5's phone texting).

To reference another game, Wrestling Dynasty will be more like Cosy Cafe than it will be Being a DIK. I understand if this is upsetting but that's where we're at and nothing will change about it. I'll clarify this in the Dev Notes.

How about just giving us the option to not talk and/or text anyone we don't want to on the phone. Just give us the option to skip flirt conversations we don't want to have. You can keep your story structure intact, just adding the option to not flirt with anyone we don't want to flirt with and skipping whatever conversations we don't want to have. Would that be a little easier for you?

Honestly, I don't think so, because there's a lot in those conversations beyond just flirting. Another reason I decided not to allow the "skip some, advance ahead" is due precisely to that: there's a ton of worldbuilding and plot threads thrown out in those text chains beyond just all the flirting.

I will say I'll try to keep this in mind though if there's ever a time I feel like something could be missed or skipped and it not have a bigger impact/importance in some manner, directly or not.

Some of the writing is absolutely "AVN-adjusted", so to speak. "AVN Logic" I guess. But no, at least where I am in America, high schoolers do not typically have graduation on a Monday, nor is graduation the same night as the final day of school. Things just got combined for brevity's sake lol.

Also yes, wrestling in this game is portrayed as a legit physical contest of combat.

I think this is why writers have editors.

That aside. I'm not having a bad time. And seeing you are at least aware parts don't really make sense answers some of my questions.

As far as the police thing, as someone who spent my entire life around familial abuse, you might be surprised how few times police get involved in such situations. That said, there are certainly some elements to the story where I'm really asking the reader to just come along for the ride rather than overanalyze what's happening. Sorry about that!

I have to say, them not thinking to go to the police after the dad puts mom in the hospital just is off to me.
I know what you said above, but we just saw at breakfast that the MC dreams of being a policeman to be able to help people.
And then when something happens that is tailor made to have police help him as he wants to help others, it just gets waved away with "you know [mom] wouldn't want it. You know how she is about family, about loyalty... She wouldn't want the police involved or any charges against him.".
Even after he treats the family like shit, beats her unconscious and puts her in the hospital he apparently still deserves her loyalty.

I'm really liking the game and supporting on Patreon (new patron as of a couple weeks ago) so it isn't a deal breaker for me or anything.
I am genuinely excited for the story.
But I feel this part could have been done better.

If the police got involved with such a worldwide-caliber name such as Franco Morgan (he's as big or bigger than John Cena or The Rock, in the WD world), the lives of her children would be forever changed, for the worse I feel. Especially considering MC was still in high school at the time (the "final" incident was on his last day of high school, yeah, but explaining all the abuse up to that point.) Obviously it's not right but I would imagine MC would've been bullied, teased, and mocked about this mercilessly from other students, as well as from anyone else once it became known who he is.

I suppose as you mentioned previously, in the real world families hide and cover up abuse every day for many different reasons.
For those of us that have never gone through that, it can be hard to understand and accept.

It's a testament to the writing that I was so upset with the dad's behavior and him seemingly getting away with it.

So, well done with that..

I am happy to support devs that write a good story and characters and also seem to happily engage with their fans.
