It's either 3 or 6 months without word from the dev, or I think like 18 months without an update but word from the dev. So since BrainDead keeps sharing his brain rot every day with his manufactured dev updates we aren't likely to get that tag anytime soon.

I can see Braindrop faking their death sometime in the future and having some new alias "stumble" across the PC like three years later where they'll find character models on the C: drive and take up the mantle like they found some kind of ancient artifact lmaoo

Then he released content and while it wasn't great before, it had a decent enough story for me, distinguishable characters, and nice visuals.

Now it had
- black boxes,
- doubled down on duck faces,
- redid all faces that were more unique looking,
- added more characters without personality,
- got ridiculous with naming,
- introduced the rework without releasing it
- ballooned the LIs proportions more with every update
- threw what was there story-wise out of the window
- and of course, wasn't becoming consistent again at all.

Great for people who can't let go and/or like those proportions in their LIs.
Not so great for people who liked how WVM started and seemed to promise to be like.

I may be pretty alone in this but the duck faces never bothered me that much and the new proportions of the girls are one of the main reasons I still play the new updates ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm kind of an ideological surrealist when it comes to these porn games, I enjoy them less when all the characters are just portrayed as normal people; when I want that I can just watch actual porn. There's so much more flexibility to do crazy stuff in this animated form, so have at it. I also liked the ridiculous dick of the MC in the beginning and I'm kind of disappointed BD opted for more realism there while exaggerating the proportions of all the women for some reason

There is an argument to be made for a realistic-looking game that tells a realistic story where you get attached to the characters and therefore the sex scenes feel more rewarding. But for that to happen to me, there actually needs to be a good story that's well told with well written characters and dialogue. WVM isn't that and 99% of VN's aren't that. So if you can't give me realism in the writing, don't bother giving me realism in the character models or the sex scenes.

So yes, give me all of the giants tits and asses, I'm here for it.

Oh, and I'm obviously also here for the constant update drama, I like checking in like once a day like it's a 21st century version of a periodical

I can see people liking that - and I really hope those still supporting him do it because of that, so they actually get something out of it.

It's not for me, and I would've never supported him if WVM started out like that.

All scamming/mental problems and delays aside - if a dev starts a game, they should have a vision and stick to it. Want to do something different? Do another different game, but don't change the premise people are invested in with time and money.
Same as adding new kinks controversial kinks down the road without warning and similar stuff.

BD got a lot of money, trust, and reputation out of how he started WVM, just to make a 180. In retrospect, there were signs of this going downhill even before that, but most people didn't expect him to be this extreme about it.
Guess I am lucky, with all the pauses he did during his first hiatus I only invested 62€ before taxes into this - still a lot of money though. Especially for something I wouldn't have touched with a ten-foot pole had it been presented like this from the start.
