you need to understand that when someone say this has good writing/story, it's not being compared to homer's odyssey but to other visual novels of the same genre. the bar for being above average when it comes to story-telling in visual novels is extremely low

I get the point , and i kinda agree .. but somehow i don't lol . From my limited experience , having not played all of them , i can still safely claim that the bulk of 4+ rated around here ( excluding those at 4+ stars with single digit amount of reviews so far) , are easily setting a much higher standard . The highly rated "crap" i can easily count on one hand , and most usually involve drip feeding a bad story and dialogues via an heavy grind , usually within sandboxes or tedious rpgm mechanics .

When digging for quality , the bar ain't that low ... it ain't at WVM's level at least . I kinda get why it's popular , it throws hand-fists of girls at people and used a popular sports topic ... but that's it . It can't even properly manage a 24h days cycle in writing.

well thats true,and i felt the same ,.but after the last daliah update [not this one]the script pick my interest again,perhaps this dingbat of bd is not so incompetent,...but to who i try to lie,.....we all know that even if he have the best script of all the avn puthere he will care only for the big pay....

Make your AVN put it out and continue with the avn or continue with your life. I know it was a unimaginable story and pure fantasy,but we are not looking for real life (i hope not). i might or might not have some kinks that i can't do in real life so i will try the wildest avn i can find just for the pure fantasy of it. Just to be clear i am not talking about sadistic things,just things people i socialize with are not open to. Wvm was a choice based avn with a little of everything. I think he let the avn control him instead of him controlling the avn. IT makes me sad to see it happen to anyone.

i think the single biggest mistake he made, and pretty much every game that has a BIG mistake is the same thing, is letting higher-tier sub ranking dictate what goes in to or is changed in a game

1) please use your own vision, it's always better (if the game would succeed anyway)
2) with all due respect, "normies" don't fucking know anything about what they really want
3) those people (high tier) aren't gonna stay there long term, and then your main base stuck with whatever frankenstein options your temporary big-bucks put on the line

Waifu Academy, Milfy City, Harem Hotel (briefly, redeemed), and WVM are some solid games that were big ticket in the day that suffered from this (i know there are others)

it's a good money milker for those who are not serious about their VNs and plan to eventually abandon them, but if you plan to go from A to Z and finish something ... man, DO NOT let your fanbase dictate the direction of your game (with due respect)

EDIT : example, if * i * were calling the shots on this game right now (in it's current state), i'd have PP Shauna betray the MC and steal all of his Top Waifus and fuck them silly, then become the secret dark-horse protagonist

I know Anti would be there with me, but i know for the integrity of the game and the majority of the fanbase, that would be a disaster (but better than no content at all <3 )

It would actually make the game least interesting ... a competition between Shauna and MC for the girls , especially Jaimie lol . Meanwhile the real game can't decide for over a year if Shauna and Jaimie will get it on , despite pretty much previously agreeing to .... nor even a lesbian coupling like Bailey and Rain , with the same pattern . But of course , he has to milk the anticipation , while keeping the "don't taint my harem dream" folks happy .

Braindrop only uses a cliffhanger here and a foreshadowing there, if that means BD isn't that incompetent, allow me to doubt your judgement when evaluating a story.

I won't go into details, I'm really lazy, but BD's story with WVM is full of holes everywhere, it has no structure, congruence and coherence. Not to mention that it has no idea of tone, style or rhythm.

You can think what you want, if you think WVM is the best porn game in the world, be happy it is for you. But don't tell me nonsense that it's because of the story, the only attractive thing about the game is the amount of asses to fuck, that's all the appeal.

A good example of how this could be done and not enrage everyone was "A Clever Name" where the trans char fucked the girls while mc did another of the girls in each others presence... It was in a sense a"true" harem everyone fucked everyone but noone outside the harem.

Yep, letting a few big spenders steer the ship can really mess things up. Sticking to the creator's vision usually makes for a better game.

i didnt say the story is the best of is the best outhere,but how i evaluate a story,game,movie etc,is something you dont need to fret about,...tastes arent being subject to objectivity,...so you cant shmae my likes or my kinks ,like i cant do that to you,...or to anybody else,...wecan compare or not all the games you like to the games i like and perfectly cheking there not will be anything that you and me have in common....and that is fine...you like other games better is your preference and prerrogative,and the same for me,.
cliffhanger being used when is need it or foreshadowing is a common way for many writer's and scriptwriter's,personally i dont like the overuse of that in any category,...some series have one or the other in each chapter and that from my point oview bad,...even when sometimes is need it....
i love asses like any other dude outhere,and this game have many types and kids,.so nothing to argue there,..

i was to believe that the daliah scene was "finished", but there was an error in the code/program/software that crashed it, so it had to be skipped

the render count was always "xxx" amount, and when he released the update, he said something like "omg, i had to take 100 renders out because it crashed" etc etc ??
