Had shit luck myself from motorcycle's engine block splitting in half and car's tires blowing within 2 days apart.
His seems more like fake till make style.
Idk him personally nor have I been here long enough to agree with either side but its not far fetched for people milking patreon.

This dude has been making up excuses about why stuff is late for over 2 years. It takes work to erode trust to that extent. If BD stated that the sky is blue, I'd still go double check. He spent the entirety of last year, and lots of time the year before with soooo many promises, then immediately broke all of them.
And it isn't a case of fake it till you make it for BD. He does a repeating cycle (not necessarily in this order):
promise a release, miss release, make up excuses to why he missed and promise it will be out soon, miss again, ghost, come back with a sob story about family drama (or technical issues with Ren'py/PC/ISP) but now it's all fixed, update out in a few days, miss again.

Well i don't know about people that fund him on patreon but if i was the second time bd used ridiculous excuses i would cut my donating on him and not bother giving him money...He somehow managed to get a few of the patreons he lost...It's weird to me as to why would they return and keep giving him moneynope they are not vibing
they are cursing in a relative nice way for now.
and the Brainfart Defenders are slowly changing her mind and beginning to see reason....

on the flipside, if any of what he says is true, he's a real-life piece of shit no matter what
1.) the entire livelihood of himself, his wife, his kids, his home, all revolves around this porn game ((no dig on the porn, let me finish))
2.) he's been at this long enough to know the good and bad of the porn business and it's avenue for earning money
3.) he's already survived the porn purge of Patreon and looked at other options going forward ((still staying with risky patreon))
4.) he's gone as far as to blatantly and publicly lie about financial decisions because he is "so broke" from his porn money
5.) on average he is making $7,000 a month off the porn, which is the same as an RN in the USA
6.) what the fuck is he doing with that money every month, unless he is the only provider for his entire family
7.) if he *is* the sole provider for his family, omfg, why does he not have any fallback plan?
8.) does he just commit suicide if Patreon finally kicks him out?
9.) does he abandon his family if porn is outlawed for income in his state?
10.) what if he loses function of his hands or eyes, does his entire family just set themselves on fire?
11.) this dude at best is late 20s, probably mid to late 30s on my bet, no way does he make these decisions without experience
my final take? this guy is just as much a piece of shit in real life as he is to his fans, and that's probably why he has some sort of family crisis every month, both as an excuse, and i bet his wife divorced him already and took the kids, and on top of all the shit he has to do normally, he probably also paying alimony and child support too

You have a point considering how slow progress he makes ,but i said the mid of February because that is the last deadline i have given him to release it after this date (14 February 2025 23:59 p.m ) i delete WVM and then never bother my self with this...
