Yes... I know the feeling. I did not regretted buying it when it was out, but I was heartbroken when it was abandoned and not a word from the author.
So only version 2.1 iam can play dark dreams and wet dreams? Version 3.5 is newer why iam not? Is not way for unlocked wet dreams and dark dreams?
Just edit your old post, there is no need to spam the forum. Version 2.1 and 3.5 are separate games.

Fantastic game, my brute force orc brain took a while to realize that you can't drag any female to a particular place, and and I actually have to use human language.

That thread was started 6y ago.
While some people mention he has been online somewhat recently, he hasn't made any posts of any sort recently, unless you see something I don't.
The admin is still logging in fairly regularly, they last logged in a few weeks ago (Dec 22) but there last post on the 'new' game was May 21. I doubt the person posting under the forum 'admin' is the actual games games dev anymore.
Its also apparent that even the forum has been virtually abandoned by posters, there were only 6 forum threads posted in last month and a bunch of spam.

There is no evidence to suggest that this game is in development in any way whatsoever. They wanted to create their own engine, became overwhelmed, were too embarrassed to admit it to their supporters and now just leave them in the dark. They received money from people in an offbeatr campaign for versions all the way up to 9.9. After offbeatr was shutdown, they continued to take pledges that promised access to versions 4 and 5. 4 and 5 were never delivered. They shifted focus to this new engine, which appears to be what "version 9.9" was originally intended to be, XStory University.
While there is always a risk in supporting creators before a product is made, if that creator violates that supporter relationship by not delivering on what they said they would, the creator deserves nothing but criticism and certainly not "patience". It's totally fine to abandon a project like this, it's a hefty one. But leaving your supporters in the dark, who have already invested money in you, is a dick move.

Supporting an unfinished project or buying an early access game is idiotic. There are enough idiots to pay, so just lean back and see if the project delivers or not. That way you can avoid getting all worked up over a porn game.
As to development, they are still working on it.

The dev shouldn't expect us to jump for joy after such a long time. There are hardly any people left who are interested in him and his work after he managed not to say a word about what he's working on for the last 6 years. Besides, it's not exactly promising what he has to show after such a long time. I'll wait until he releases something before that, i don't believe for a second that anything will come.
