Hello, Im using Windows 10
See with the new release if it's working...
Then try to use the latest version of winrar/7zip to unzip the file, and avoid putting the game in your "Documents and Settings" folder. Best place is somewhere on your hard drive. That's because of Win10 security locks.

Let me know if this helped in any way.

I really like the sound of this. I want to trust that it'll work because General Practitioner managed to pull off a lot, but it also worryingly sounds like it could be an over-scoped feature creep of a title that'll die too soon. Is Bruni a team?
I was reading again this comment and my mind wandered back two and a half years ago:

The premise and the idea are great, and this could turn out one of the best games in the whole scene* but the dev needs to play this smart not exaggerate stuff, don't go absurd mode (stupidly unlikely scenarios) and really focus and think on maintaining a good story. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen... but let's wait and see what comes out of this :)
Last time I surprised the audience with a game which is going to be completed in a few weeks, and with "Very positive" reviews on Steam as well (people who paid for the game are way more enjoying it than people who pirated it, that's a little absurd if you think about it and testifies the real quality of the game in my opinion).

Let's see how Yomi Alliance goes. I really believe you will be amazed with the things I've got in mind for this. I guess we just need to "wait and see what comes out of this" :D

Not really. If I think about it I come to the conclusion that people actually spending their hard-earned cash are more likely to make more informed decisions as opposed to people that are trying a game on a whim because it's "free", so you're immediately getting people that are more inclined to like what you're offering in the paying crowd. The free crowd are always going to contain a higher percentage of negative responses because they are more likely to be taking a chance on something that may not be for them.

Ok I see this is a kickstarter game so I do judge them a lot harder than if it was not a crowdfunding game
The music is just fucking annoying, I disable the music because it was just that annoying.
You are in a team, no you are on a team I would expect the English to be a lot better than it is at this time and that is not the first and only time the English was off. You do understand that music is used for a reason in games. Which you did not use the correct way. While it is a demo and yes stuff will be wrong it is best to go over it to make sure it sounds and reads as it should.
Also how a person feels if they pay for a game or play a game for free is this. When you paid for a game if it is bad it is bad. In fact paying for a bad game is worse than playing a bad game for free. The reason is it being free all you did was waste some time. When you paid for it you then not only wasted your time, you then feel like you was ripped off and chances is you will not want to try any other games made by that person or group of people.

I backed, hopefully we succeed, although what are the plans if it doesn't?

I feel like this game may not be putting its best foot forward by not having at least one really hot character in the main promotional image.

I direct you to the grand theft auto box arts who, even though they sell billions, feel the need to stick someone sexy on the marketing material who usually isn't even in the game. Random chick sucking a lollipop, another licking her lips, another one holding booze. Nothing wrong with marketing to the lowest common denominator.

Greetings everybody!

First of all allow me to extend my deepest gratitude to those of you who decided to back this game and those that are going to in the next 17 days. Yomi Alliance's reception has been outstanding with hundreds of "wishlists" added on Steam in merely two weeks!

I'm aware that for someone the game's objectives might seem far-fetched, but believe me they are not. Yomi Alliance is an ambitious, bold project which couldn't have been possible without the experience and skills I developed by working on General Practitioner for the past two and a half years and the decade I spent developing computer software of other kinds.

Of course, being the game on Steam means it will be developed AND released regardless of the kickstarter funding. By now this platform allowed me to understand that there is a definite interest in the game and that people are going to love it. Reaching the main goal will boost development times allowing me to focus on this project alone and by reaching the very difficult "stretch goals" I can also add features that otherwise would be impossible to achieve for a small studio like mine.

That's why my projects will never be far-fetched:
I'm perfectly aware of how much time it will take to develop them, how much money (because of course EVERYTHING costs money, even if it was only taxes we're talking about) and how much passion is involved in such a bold project.

That's why I also want to thank you whoever will wishlist the game on Steam, support my Patreon page or this Kickstarter, regardless of the final result. I am blessed by a fan community that gives me the very reason I chose this job: entertaining people (and myself while I'm at it, why not?)

So, spread the word with your contacts, back the project in the next 17 days and help me reach the goal. It's a very bold goal, unlike those usual for a Visual Novel, but believe me that this game will be unlike any other Visual Novel you played so far in many different aspects.

Trying to make something unlike something else in the videogame industry will always polarize people's opinions. That's true for indie developers who dare to dare and geniuses like Hideo Kojima alike.

Very promising project after reading Dev. comments above. I will give it a try and post my feelings afterwards. ;)

Alpha Release 0.0.3, which will include much more content (albeit in Academy setting only at first) will be released after December 15th.

Hey, this looks promising and I like the slight ME- feel of the thing.

I will say though that the main point against it for me so far is the team itself. Purely from an adult game point of view, none of them come off as particularly appealing visually, especially the aliens. Which could be a problem since it at least seems like they are the main romantic interests. I think GP seemed to handle it better while retaining a realistic, not overly 'porno'- look to the characters while still being appealing. It would be interesting if, like with GP you could choose teammates instead of the current automatic ones. I think if you could somehow improve the visuals, make the images more clear and less grainy it could be a real winner, but for now I'm still a bit cautious.

I might cave and support it just purely as a sci fi game and simply skip the relationship stuff, but seems like a bit of a waste.
Anyway, just my 2 cents. Sorry for coming off overly critical, best of luck to you and the game.

Hi. This feedback is one of the most appreciated to date. Someone even "reviewed" A DEMO 0.0.1 release as you would with a full game, but that's not feedback, that's... I don't know what it is, but you were NOT "overly critical" at all.

Visuals have already been improved with HD characters, not present in the demo for both budgetary and time reasons (I'm still working on the final release of General Practitioner as well as we speak). As for choosing the team that would be awesome but undoable unless certain milestones are hit on crowdfunding. The reason behind this choice is quite simple in fact. Still, I might change the looks of some character, especially Serena who doesn't convince me fully.

Aberoin has been re-done from scratch for example. I'm aware that Futanari characters might not be what everybody likes, but his part of the game is skippable if you don't like it. I'm thinking about putting a menu choice for every in-game sexual content this time, we shall see.

Please remember that the game is not even in Alpha yet, so MANY things could change. If you followed GP from the start you would've seen MANY changes in its looks and gameplay in two years, and Yomi Alliance is no less.

Oh and Yomi Alliance, just like General Practitioner, won't be a "porn" game. Just to be clear right from the start. ;)

Hey really glad to hear it. Great to hear that the graphics are progressing, HD will likely help a fair bit. Obviously you've already started the campaign so it is a bit late as advice but wouldn't it then have been better to wait until after the HD transition? what with the kickstarter being the place where you need to wow and grow your audience.

And yeah, I get that you're going for varying tastes in this one and I can see how it would be a massive undertaking making several potential crew members, at least if they have different stories/personalities etc. It was just that from what we saw, the team didn't really grow on me. I can't speak for any other group but as the typical "straight male", there seemed to be two options and neither stood out all that much. That might well be improved a bit with HD graphics where you'll hopefully be able to get a closer look so you can actually see their faces properly.

Finally, I can definitely see it being frustrating having people review a pre-alpha build, although to be fair, you are also currently asking people money to support it and showcasing it on kickstarter as at least a representation of what you're offering. That will always open you up to reviews of the 'product' your 'selling'. Here's hoping you can win them over as the game is fleshed out.

Yeah I getcha, which is why I specifically said adult game and not porn game. =)

I ask for money AND/OR, for those who can't or don't want to give me that I ask for a feedback that can help me to improve the game. If people give nothing of the sorts and just posts criticism without an idea on how to improve it or are just rude AND they not only don't give me a coin but also pirate the game.... Well I don't blame them but neither consider them amongst those who I ought to hear opinions from ;)

You gave me plenty of ideas to work with, for example, and for that I'm grateful to you.

If my games were so awful GP won't have a "Very positive" standing on Steam, nor Yomi Alliance would have a few hundred wishlists on Steam in just a few days. :)

I am one of this with it wishlisted on steam, though about the only thing that annoyed me in the demo was the fact it said xx number of weeks to go in training then only did 4-6? of them then jumped pass the rest, if it cacluated what the skill set would be from my first couple of weeks it was nothing to do with the characters proffession, but more of a basic set up where I was intending to do the proffession stuff in the last 2/3 or the time.

But the 4 weeks were intended to be DEMO content of course... If I put the full 24 weeks then it would've been a full game, not a demo... :D

There will be DOZENS of dialogues, situations, classes, sexual events, stories in Academy training, with much different content for each different species/career/gender as well. Too much for a demo which only shows the basic concept of the game.
