I am running into so many problems, I am having trouble understanding the reviews on this thread... To illustrate:
- Game doesn't install UE redistributables at startup, and fails if they aren't installed. You have to somehow find how to install them by yourself...
- Starting / loading a game takes around 3 minutes. I kid you not...
- Even on low video settings, the view is extremely blurry, and "grainy" (not pixelated, more like an "old camera" filter had been applied much too aggressively)
- The walking speed is so horrendously slow, traversing a puddle takes 30s, and I don't think it's due to low framerates.

And no, I can already preempt some comments: it's not an old hardware or VRAM issue, my RTX 4070 does totally fine with other UE games, even CP2077.
Does anyone know if the devs are aware, and planning to address all the performance and compatibility issues?

The subject of that sentence is "movement speed", not "slowdown".
lol, I've told you that I've got you. Can't you see that your original message is overloaded and ambiguous ? Still I can't see ms increase with traits. Yes, you are not slowed by cumflation, but you're not faster either. At least significantly: It took approximately 10secs for me to run from point A to point B every time (with traits+cumflation and without them)

You can try to report this issue to the dev in discord server and probably get some help. I can't see any point writing it on the forum.

Regarding the speed: if you're playing from scratch - play arena, level up your char, armor weight, debuffs(cumflation, eggs) can reduce your ms.

I don't use discord, and I was asking if what I have experienced is normal (you know, from other players, which I expect to find in a thread dedicated to the game in question...), not asking for help resolving it, which I am pretty sure isn't going to be forthcoming.

See, that's the kind of feedback I was expecting: confirmation that having the game nearly unplayable at start is intended and normal behavior...

Well, idk, maybe it was fixed on the Patreon version, but that one had fucked up UI for me, so I played on the public one.

WTF with the performance of this game... I know that I don't have a state of the art PC, but, I have a Radeon RX 5700 XT, 16gb RAM, should be enough to run a 4gb game and it just runs damn slow af

Well. Nice position.

Games do not install anything on strat-up. It happens when the game is being installed on your system, or if you use simple launchers or launchers like steam, steam downloads and installs them before the first launch of the game(or somwhere between, I don't pay attention to that kind of stuff). 99% of games on this forum are portable and they don't install anything at all.

It's not just UE redistributables, It's common Visual C++ Redistributalbles, dot Nets etc, but older, probably before 2015, which are still being used by UE4, and don't come in package with fresh windows. You will never get them untill you install! older game on your computer, or manually install vcredist and don nets form microsoft. Back in the day it was a common thing to do it manually on every fresh windows.

- Even on low video settings, the view is extremely blurry, and "grainy" (not pixelated, more like an "old camera" filter had been applied much too aggressively)
If u are asking if something is normal in terms of graphics - at least provide a screenshot of how it looks for you and what settings do you use. How do I know what do u mean by telling "low video settings", what's "extremely blurry" for you, and what do u call "grainy". It's usually how low settings work: making game ugly. It may be that you turned on DLSS or FSR(for don't know why if you are using Nvidia GPU) on low settings. For best image quality you should turn off DLSS or any other upscaler, or use it on DLAA setting, then if u want some more performance you can shift to Quality. There is also Resolution scale under Video tab, it should be on 100% always.

- Starting / loading a game takes around 3 minutes. I kid you not...
I'm running the game on sata SSD, i5-13600, RTX3070. The game loads in avarage less then 10 secs, while start-up takes the longes time. It runs on stable 60 fps with every setting maxed out (except RT Reflection eats a lot so it's on medium).

For me, if you run the game on lowest settings with 4070 to achive 60 fps(if not - then your GPU drivers might be fine), it looks like your system is pretty fresh and you are using windows default drivers, I advise you to install (chipset, storage, utility) drivers for your motherboard from your manufacturer site. If it's not the case than I have no clue why this game constantly takes 3 minutes to load.

Is this the default colors? Because on my gaming laptop, the default colors don't look as vibrant as this like there's this heavy film grain like layer and desaturated somber lightings and colors
there is a slider in the settings you can use to adjust colors

Dev: Makes a great X-ray function
Also dev: Forces you to use a belt, which gets in the way of X-ray, to be able to tell how much ammo and consumables you have as.

Dev: Allows you to make huge anime tiddy character.
Also dev: Forces you to use a breastplate, which hides the boobs and forces them into medium size during sex, to be able to tell how much HP and stamina you have left.
