I think just intrinsically porn platformers are made to be non-con. From the days of Toonpimp and the Newgrounds RoR scene, it's just been the trend since the beginning. I think it's true that action games in general lend themselves better to non-con, as consensual kind of actively works against the adversarial nature of beat-em-up gameplay. In a way a consensual beat-em-up is kind of nonsensical, you can't knock someone unconscious and then have consensual sex with them...
In all of these "consensual" beat-em-up platformers, the only thing making it consensual is the character's expressions, and the player's ability to opt in or out at will, everything else about it is non-con. Pretty much any other genre of game lends itself better to setting up romance/consensual sex.
But see, it's not even just platformers that are like that. The two examples I gave are turn-based RPG's with a HEAVY amount of content not related to combat. In fact, the vast majority of sex scenes in Ambrosia you have to opt into in some way, but the way the scenes are written makes it clear that the character is very uncomfortable with it.
Both of those games have large amounts of unique scenes, almost 100 for both of them and the vast majority of them consist of rape, coercion, blackmail or taking advantage of their naivete and/or trusting nature. The very few scenes that have the protags for either of these games engaging in sex of their own volition, the narration goes out of its way to show that it's happening not because the women have any agency over their own sexuality, but because they've been corrupted by the pleasure they've received and are fully giving in to their lust, with such
delightful quotes like "
It was clear that the thing writhing atop the man could no longer be called human. It was instead nothing more than a female pig in human form." Or something equally ridiculous-sounding. The game makes it quite clear that the way they're acting is something they should be ashamed of, but they never give them a chance to actually behave in a manner that's respectable AND lusty at the same time. It's prudish to the point of ice-cold, reluctant suffering or nymphomania-city, no in-betweens.
It's not just these two games, either. With the exception of TWO games that I've seen on this site (and yeah, that's probably my fault for not having looked at as many games as I could have), with one of them being this game, every single hentai game, regardless of the genre, that features a female protagonist, and ONLY a female protagonist (so none of that "create-your-own-character kinda stuff, that SO does not count) has come packaged with sex scenes consisting almost exclusively of a total lack of agency on behalf of the girl.
Which, um, still isn't to say that this is an issue that needs adressing or anything, it's just something I've noticed that's so omnipresent in these games that when I FINALLY came across something where that WASN'T the case, I felt the need to celebrate it. That's all. I know what this looks like, I really do, but I'm not making any accusations here. If I were, then I'd be just as guilty as anyone else here.
