is there any walkthrough for this game??
No like Ellaraia say's you don't necessarily need one. Do the event's you have available to level up and get more events (also to unlock clothes and things), then do those new events and repeat.

This is definitely not a bad game.
Cute girl, spicy dialogue and some pretty hot scenes.

I'm just not a fan of these repetitive mechanisms - free roam "search x, trigger y, get z", xp gain and on top of that a clustered, distracting UI.

I just wished devs would focus on telling a compelling story, rewarding the player with naughty scenes by forwarding the storyline (bundled with some interesting dialogue choices) instead of simply letting them grind their asses off.

It's the same with - could have been a great game, if the dev hadn't focussed on grindy mechanisms, but instead trusted his / her abilities to create a game based on story, dialogue and choices.

Alright, I have to admit that I'm a bit confused by your answer.
Are you implying there will be future changes that make the game less grindy and more story driven?
Or are you just kindly asking me to try my luck elsewhere? ;)
I might have something in the works that people will, hopefully, enjoy. That is all I can say until I've posted on Patreon about it on Monday.

Just tried this again after my last foray was ... 0.8, I think? Or 7?
The new system is definitely easier to develop for, and contains less clicking and waiting, but I think it's still a ways off from where it was before. Here's hoping for the best.

A pity, but I feared as much with the rework.
The new game just isn't much of a story any more. That said, you obviously can write, and I haven't paid anything.
So, best of luck.

Without the re-work, I'd have ended it in December. And thanks.

Thanks for sharing the news, Ellaraia.

If you don't feel passionate any more about what you are doing, it's best to wrap it up and move on.
And don't be too hard on yourself - even if "Shaping Her Future" didn't turn out the way you (or others) have hoped for.
In the short while I've been following your project I got to know you as an active and honest person and I think you can be proud of what you have achieved.

I like your characters, renders and writing, but - as I wrote in one of my earlier posts - I'm not too keen of grind mechanisms.
That's why I'm happy you will be focussing on your strong points and getting rid of the tedious game elements.
I'm looking forward to your new game.

I still have some basic questions about the cast of "My Little Katelyn":
Is the (male?) MC the same (younger) MC as in SHF - or a completely different guy?
His girlfriend is Lucy, alright.
Lucy's best friend is Sophie. Is she the same (younger) character as in SHF or are you simply reusing her model and name?
Is she also MC's sister (or is his sister not revealed yet)?
And finally - Katelyn is the exchange student?

Ellaraia said:
Please ignore Lucy's arm, an elf borrowed it for a while. She'll have it back for the release.

:)
Katelyn is the foreign student. She uses the same model as Sarah but with updated hair. I'm sure there will be a mod where she's your sister for those who prefer that.
None of the characters have anything to do with ShF.
You also have an older sister but you don't have sex with her. She does tie into both storylines though.

There are still a few things that I'm not certain about. The MC model is one of them and another is the camera. I think I want more of a 1st person perspective, which will limit how much you see the MC anyway. I'll be finalising everything and rendering a variety of images over the next few weeks as I finish ShF.

I'm a little disappointed, because there was something special about ShF for me. I really liked every new scene that opened up (it doesn't happen that much with other games) and obviously I was looking for more. On the other hand, the gaming part was, well, not really fun, it just didn't have the right flow. And as it turned out, it wasn't just because of cupcakes. ;)

So, looking at the bright side, less game, more story, that could be the right way for you. I'm looking forward to it. :)

For anyone who wants to know what the future of me and ShF holds:
(You don't have to be a patron to read)
There's an author I enjoy reading who released 8 novels in this series in one year; she's a maniac. No wonder that she got burnt out. She posted to facebook that she was abandoning the world/setting and moving on to other things. I suggested she simply set it aside for a bit and consider coming back to it when the time was right. Two years later she just announced a new series in that world/setting with one of the main supporting characters from the first series. You stated that you really wanted to fulfill your vision for ShF. Ok. So put it on hold and come back to it later when the time is better. You don't have to abandon the idea. You may find a desire at a later time.

No, that doesn't mean give your patrons some false hope; this is all about you wanting to fulfill your vision for ShF. When the time is right, do it.

So many times this post. It sounds like what you really need is a break. What you are feeling right now about ShF could possibly be temporary, who knows for certain.

On a side note, out of curiosity could you tell me the name of the author you follow? I've just recently finished a book series and have been looking into a new one to get into.
