The game has me kinda confused with the relationship of the MC and Claudia, is she now our mother/Step-mother or not? Because her dialogue suggests this. Yet her character description makes her look like your foster family and whats Victors role here? She didnt reference him which is weird considering shes supposed to be his mom?

Patreon's doesn't allow any direct incest, so, yeah, I hated this as much as you do.

That's the confused me previously, and it might be a silly question since I got no previous experience on making lewd games: Do Players really prefer Ren'py over RPGM?

For visual novels, yes. It's also a lot easier to work with for basic tasks (dialog, images, etc).
If a game makes good use of the mechanics available with RPGM, it can be great (Urban Demons, A Zombie's Life, Lust Epidemic). But most of them don't. Solvalley School got a lot smoother after shifting from RPGM to Renpy, for example.
I mostly dislike Unity for non-3D games, since most of the time, they don't optimise well, so the game crawls. Also less customisation options for text speed, transitions, etc. And much less moddable, if you want to get in and tweak something.

Art is beautiful, but definitely running into random errors.
Ran into this twice, but different "People". Gotten them when moving around the overworld, inside houses, etc. It locks the game up and has to restart to "fix" it.

The reason I prefer Ren'Py for Visual Novels is it seems to be, by far, the easiest engine to make fan patches for. Even without coding knowledge I can simply unren a Ren'Py game and replace landlady/step-mom/host, etc with mom. The art looks very nice, good luck.
