While you're at it, you should go to the OP and read the bright yellow writing. Reading all of it will tell you why you're having these issues. It will also tell you where to locate your save files which are corrupted. They should be deleted as well.

If you follow those instructions you won't have any issues. Those of us that have only used official downloads and have not tried to modify the game in any way have not had any broken game events.

If you still don't understand at that point (please realize I'm not talking down to you) by the end of this last update, if you follow the above, the game itself will explain it.

ah thanks yes. found the key i missed in v34. so i guess with 15 pages i am up to date now and done everything. wonder when we will get new fishing records for the mini game. basically since a bunch of versions he is drained of money and i already got bigger fish already when there was something new.

The update file is missing the balloon image because it's not part of this v36061 update. You probably applied the update file to a version other than v34052, and this doesn't work. If you only update your game every 2-3 months, you always need to download the full game.

Thanks! Can you give a brief overview of how to do it?

Sorry if I'm late to the party.

1) Make a copy of the previous Mac version, just I case something goes wrong;
2) unzip the Win update, find the 'www' folder and rename it "app.nw" (without the quotes, of course );
3) right-click the Mac version and select "Show package content";
4) open "Contents" folder then drag the newly created "app.nw" folder onto the "Resources" folder while holding the Option key;
5) a window will appear which gives you the option to Stop, Replace or Merge the files: choose Merge and you're done.

In my experience you don't have to replace all other files you find in the win update, but remember that using this trick you delete the incest patch, and thus you have to reapply it.

In case the Win complete file gets released before the Win update, the process works fine with the full version as well (though in that case you have to download/replace 2.5 Gb of www/app.nw folder).

This is a trick to play the update on a Mac before the official Mac version is released, but I can give no guarantee it won't give any problem in the long run, so when the official Mac version is finally released I strongly suggest to download it and replace the one you tinkered with.

You can also apply the needed updates successive. Pratical he's right. Its easier to DL the game in full every, lets say, 4-5 updates.

Thats correct.
I made yesterday a repack of the update and i think, if correctly applied, it works for Win/Linux/Mac from the same package. For Linux and Win i know it for a fact.(Tested myself)

From the voices here there should be no issues on the long run from it. You add new files and replace changed ones in the pevious game version. This gives you exactly the same package as a full DL.

Sure, if you know where to get all those "Update Only files" from the last 2-3 months -- you're welcome to download all the missing update files and apply it to your 2-3 month old game version. But because people are being unable to read the OP to its full extent I highly doubt they manage to find the correct update files buried deep within this 600+ pages long thread.

All I did was providing an easy to use and fool-prove solution.

At the end of the latest update Naomi disappears with a bottle of Serum and Janet appears to have locked herself in her bedroom with the MC wondering if she remembers her inappropriate behaviour towards him when he visited her. (Visit Janet's home yourself, at the end of the game, and try to enter her bedroom to see what I mean.) It seems likely to me, Naomi being Naomi, that as soon as she purchased Serum from the supermarket she immediately trotted off to visit Janet and both girls took the aphrodisiac at Naomi's suggestion, ending up locked behind Janet's bedroom door and getting feverishly jiggy with each other. Further, based on the effect Serum has had on other pairs of women (Naomi and Pricia, Emily and Alia) if the MC were to disturb them in flagrante delicto he will inevitably end up drawn into the action himself, as the male participant in an illicit threesome, which seems to be the outcome whenever pairs of women fall under the influence of Emily's potent sex drug.

(I'm sure Naomi would stage a show like this in order to draw Henry into a triangle with her and Janet if she could.)

To be honest, were this to happen, I would be conflicted because really hate the idea of a sweet and vulnerable woman like Janet ending up having sex only because she'd been roofied, with Serum, and hence not in her right mind insofar as free will and consent are concerned. I don't like the idea of taking advantage of a woman or a girl under the influence of a drug which interferes with her ability to make conscious choices. That smacks too much of date rape to me, which I find completely and utterly repellent, and therefore hope I'm wrong about this one. The next update will tell. Janet is my favourite character and I really, really, really hope - that's a three really hope there, folks! - that NLT and his story will be nice to her.

Okay so please be patient with me, this is a question regarding the Incest Patch (not the Cheat Mod, just the config file linked in OP). I installed it just fine, put it in www folder, overridden pre-existing file blah blah. For a short while it worked, Janet and Kaylie were referred to as Mom/Sis, however right after first meeting Sofia outside the Mansion, MC started referring to Janet as well... Janet, and Kaylie as his best friend rather than Sis.

So I'm just wondering if this is a bug or just a small lapse that disappears in further dialogue? Or something else?

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you. Please bare in mind that I just started playing and this is pretty much still in the beginning part
