1. This game, as it stands, does not break the rules with Patreon in the ways of incest content. Step siblings are not by definition true incest, though it does give off the same vibe.
1 game got axed due step siblings having sex (once) so case by case.

Well one of the considerations for Patreon seems to be whether the game has a story where the incest is just a part of that story and game but not the main dish or said differently whether the incest sex is basically the game and the price for the player playing the story as in a lot of grind and stairway to heaven slow burn progressions where the mom is always the last prize to keep players interested since dev does not trust his story or enjoyable gameplay to keep gamers around. :p Of course that is not a discussion you want to have with an individual at a company where you do not even can call on case law and prior interpretations, where as a dev you are dependent on your income you make there and going to court is an expensive, laborious time consuming process with high anxiety.

Now my personal opinion is that Patreon as a company is not the one that should enforce those laws, for that we have politicians and judges to decide what falls under free speech and artistic freedom and not boards of companies. Especially when it basically comes down to a much more further reaching censorship as is in law in almost the whole world.

Unfortunately I do not see it happening that one of the freedom of speech foundations will rise and come stand behind developers of adult porn games to protect free speech.

While I do agree with you that a company shouldn't be the one to enforce it. The issue becomes that they are liable for anything that goes against those laws. For example in the U.S. anything the depicts someone under the age of 18 engaged in sexual activities is considered cp. This includes things like hand drawn art, computer generated art, ect. And then if patreon were to allow such things on their site, as say in the form of a visual novel, then they would be held accountable by law for it's distribution. Same goes for incest, but it is less strict legally speaking. This is why all the "incest" videos on say pornhub are specifically labeled as "step-xxx"

Ms. Fine the biggest gold digger I've seen in an adult game.

Also the sister and Kathy sex scenes still the best in the game. It was almost like unexpected sex that probably made the scenes better. I'm glad we might be able to see Kathy again next update.

I see people hating Robin. Robin is cool but Lana is the MC soulmate.
What about Kelly out the window? That was unexpected.

True, though US law (as opposed to another European country) is not my field I did understood from some posters and debates about other arts with similar problems that there is quite a bit of case law that actually supports a much more lenient interpretation of those rules. As are actually followed by this site, that has to deal with those same rules (Rule7 is not a thing for nothing on this site that does no kinkshaming and one that mods do take very serious).

Being overly cautious is actually the same as forbidding things that are actually legal and as such repressing things that are allowed under by free speech. Whether that is based upon fear of certain boards or their morals. Both are a bad thing especially when certain platforms like paypall have close to a monopoly.

I completely agree with you on almost everything. Especially that of paypal. It's just like so many people were trying to move from patreon to subscribestar, but the problem is that it just doesn't have the user base and a lot of their subscribers wouldn't carry over.

The only thing that I think we might vary slightly is saying that being overly cautious is the same as forbidding things. Now a company can choose what content it wants on it's site. Weather it's legal or not. Patreon can choose that it doesn't want to be associated with incest due to the social stigma that comes with it. And the freedom of speech doesn't protect you against companies, it only protects you from the government. Now in the internet age things like twitter have become a grey area for the FoS because it has essentially turned into a public square. Even though it is a private company. Hence grey area.

Also I have personally been in the position of having to be overly cautious in Second Life because I own an adult sim and sometimes we get avatars that are right on the line of looking too young. If reported to Linden Labs (company that owns SL) then we could lose our sim and our accounts because they have to crack down before it gets reported to the government who would crack down on them. Shit rolls downhill. I'm just saying I know how it goes and understand both sides of the equation.

However, I have said my peace, and this isn't the place for this conversation to continue. So I am done with it and hope everyone else is too. Sorry Robbery1211.

It's Monday, during the DAY, and I try to go to the work place, but it rejects me because "work starts at Monday during DAY..." It's Monday, during the DAY...

Any clues out there? :)
