From on hold, to abandoned, in 1 day? Yet shit like milfy city persists much longer, with nothing?

Pretty low to tell people that they can un-support him on Patreon...but not pause payments yourself. He didn't pause during the last hiatus either. He has made literal thousands during these time periods. I don't like accusing devs of milking, since usually those accusations are BS, but this is definitely milking. Devs like Pandelo have been pausing payments for 2 years because they can't work on their game, if they can do it so can veq.
Anyway, this is the 2nd time he has abandoned this game. Yeah, this isn't going to be completed. It's a shame because the plot in this game is unique and well done, but making the game itself is too far out of his skillset. The game is too complex for him to make, should've been just a regular VN.

Can't disagree with any of it.
I've never called a dev a milker not even those guilty of it but I do believe this dev is one of them.
I'm all for personal responsibility especially when it comes to finances, everyone should pay attention to what is going on with their money. I say that because a lot of people back these devs then forget about it. Couple of quid here and there is hardly bank breaking to some people.
That said there are times when a dev is taking the piss and however long this was abandoned for last time plue however long it will be abandoned for this time all the while still collecting money.
That is a milker.

Not going to lie, I get some sick satisfaction out of the fact that I called this game overhyped trash with no content nearly two years ago (November 2018) in this thread, when the game was on v0.07, but back then everyone told me that it's a 5/5 masterpiece and would be the biggest thing ever.
And now here we are.

It's not about game is bad or got a shitty scenery or not got enough patreons because game is shitty.
People complain because game abandoned after every update and Dev. got nothing to say about it and just try to milk patreons game is not bad at all IMO.
The fact is, when developers get money too quickly, many of them are confused by the benefits and become lazy. A lot of game developers are really talented, but they get a lot of money so quickly that they give up on subsequent development.

Hitting a wall my ass. Veqvil knows exactly what he is doing, meaning 0 work and milking patreons for a lousy "this game is alive" update once every year to keep those faithful patreons giving him free money.
If he really hit a wall, he would cut his losses and turn this into a VN like the rest of the bunch and we would all aplaud him for doing so, because the current sandbox state is worthless anyhow.

Some devs just don't realize that they're sitting on a gold mine.. I mean with a bit of consistent work this would be up there with DPC and PhillyGames. Would pick up some of these projects myself but I'm a bit too much of a perfectionist and can't stop myself from going overboard on a single character design, much less a scene..

Love & Subs is a difficult type of game to write. You may start out with an idea in mind of where it's going to go and then something takes it in a completely different direction. Something you thought would work becomes unlikely or impossible. Add something like legal or site law restrictions making you regear your story and you wind up stumped. If you've never tried it, you should. It's an extreme challenge.
I'm not saying anything about how you collect money, or don't, but the reason so very many of these games wind up going indefinitely on-hold or become abandoned is because the entire story wasn't plotted ahead of time.

Probably, but I'm not sure this is what happened here. I think the project just got too big for one person, just look at all the different paths where you have two for Carol, two for Amy, than you have one for Myra and one for both sisters, than you have one with Becky and maybe one without, one with Becky/Carol, one with Carol dating and the list goes on.
Maybe it was a combination of both and the dev just got overwhelmed.

I see here a discussion about a lot of paths . What are you guys talking about? The problem is not multiple paths, the problem is that the Veq never wanted to develop this game. We could talk about a too ambitious project if we received at least something, but in two years there was only one small update, which, surprise was released just when he had less than a hundred patrons left. What a coincidence, isn't it?
Guys, this is a scammer who quite deliberately milking his supporters. There are not so many paths here and this is not an excuse at all. He had enough support to get help with any problem part of the development. He just didn't want it. It's much easier to just get paid for nothing.

i love hes work but this is too much BS i feel bad for those who support him faithfully at patreon he only update 1 or 2 times a year with so little bit of content even those sfm/blender 5-20 sec video maker make more content than veq

There's a shitload of paths bruh, the keyword is "shitload". Check a WT and see for yourself. From the get-go there's NTR (if u let Carol date one of her employees, you'll also get a scene with her blowing him) and non NTR, that alone means trouble for a new dev. We keep talking about sticking to just one, but most new devs won't listen, and in most cases this is the result.
There's also Love/Submission (as of yet) just for Amy, probably for Carol and the other women too, that's why the game is called Love and Submission.
There's futa Lily, tag team Carol, forgive Becky/ignore, and a lot of women available for romance or just for fucking. You also have to choose 1 of 3 attributes to proceed. (athletic, hacker and philosopher IIRC). Add to that the possibility that the dev worked solo on the project, and you have a total mess of a game on your hands.There never was a problem with the content or the story, the problem was always the game itself, all that content is impossible work for a single person. Has anyone played Fashion Business, it's a small game that has 20k, I repeat, 20k+ renders only in Ep.2. I wonder if that one will be finished... same goes for LaS, it doesn't have that many renders, but the coding is a nightmare, and Veqie boi decided that milking > professionalism, so he started doing what some "devs" do, take money for not doing anything.
At least he had the decency to inform his supporters that the project is most likely abandoned again, so they know what to expect, unlike certain devs who keep taking money without releasing a single update in 1/2y.
