Possibly Simbro team need money to upload process or they abandoned this game but didn't shutdown their Patreon page and still have someone who never know the truth are become their membership4th of December 2020 and SimBro team is still doing 579$ after posting for the last time the 6th of August 2018, incredibleHow can people forget that they are paying something every month?

It doesn't work on the new version its locked out. You shouldn't be using the latest either, last "stable" (very loose term) version was 2.7. 2.7b has a crash during a story'd event..

What a pity. You improved some of the weak points of the 2.7b version that was kind of broken...I mean, this is an abandoned game so I understand why you stop, but anyway, thanks for the mod you created, it was a nice. Those extra 20 SP were like magic dude.
not sure if someone still playing this game, but i really want to try if i can get answer here.
seems its bugs, but hope there is a solution.
1. party assignment for slums, at beginning the game, there is a threats at slums, if you dont clear it OR clear the threats but assign the team, this function will gone, after some time, there won't be any party assignment function there.........and i start a new game, clear and assign the party at beginning, can't see the slums peek, the screen freezed with slums background, have to close the game, looks like a bug
2. the Santa event, after prepared the Santa outfit for guys and girls, can't trigger the event ---- when arrange the role for 1st lady Santa with Alice, the function stuck, you can select the staff page but can't chose the girl, the option will stuck with Isaac (i use default name), always Isaac is not suitable for this role. looks like a bug, because the panel will stuck at staff panel, can't close, have to off the game.
3. the dancing private room, peek function is not working.

For Point 1: Don't do these assignments, it's not worth it. Also, apparentely if you exit the game for whatever reason it gets "reset" but as you won't get again the "threat event" you won't be able to redo the assignments. Really, just don¡t do it.
For Point 2: Try the tcast mod, it fixed the Santa/Christmas/New Year event and also some other improvements were done. I discovered the game in its current version and apparently it was always very buggy anyway.
For Point 3: Yep. Not working. Not even with the tcast mod and I don't think there's a solution for this one at all. The only thing I can tell you about the bar (in case you didn't saw it yet) with the girls assigned to the private rooms is that sometimes they give a fellatio in the bar area...which is the only thing you'll see in this area.

thank you bro, the tcast version need a fresh play rite? i try the tcast, the 2.7b save works but issue still the same, just can asign the role, but all to the same person, and the event can't start. I am trying to down load 2.7a, try if it can pass through.
if you use chair menu, you can close NY event. (if i remember right)
can skip the role selection but still can't pass through event, ie once you call the Alice, the event come back.....nvm, i have found the solution.
btw, are you continue with the tcast development? seems this is a pretty good game, it has been abandoned for so long time, but still have supporter paying at Patreon and it still a top game in gamecore. I believe it can be a popular game if you continue.
some more you have already created the tcast to 2.7b, should be easier if you continue rather create a new game?
The game is a mess. Editing it in assembly is a nightmare. If you mod it further, more things break.
In fact i tried editing 2.5 half of year ago. its more stable. but not much events
yes, more chances to get executable swf after code modification and rebuild.
I tried to mod 2.5 and 2.7b. The last one break on 95% of attemts of code editing. just cant assemble it back after modification. Wasting hour to edit 1 value in one line of code is not for me.
if i remember right, 2.6 and 2.7a have seriously broken slums code that suffer after rebuild so i decided to leave them alone since that was a core part of the gameplay.
what i mean is you can consider to taken over the ownership of this game.....it doesn't mean you have to fix the 2.7b or whatever the version, but take this half ready game as your own game to continue to developt.
I'm saying this is because the Simbro already game base and the plager group. it ever a top ranking game, mean many people like it, and there is no existing owner for the game, you can take this almost a ready game to continue the development
