damn.. thats ~100 spark waste per slave
It was the case from the original version to 1.7.5

Then in 1.8 it got changed and we could keep the equipment forever. It made the game difficulty trivial and gave little use for the boutiques. Also it didn't make sense that a loli could wear a milf robe and vice versa.

So in 2.2 we decided to go back to the original thing. + we came up with the "soul bound" lore explanation that a cloth would still be wearable when the slave becomes fat.

One of the best decisions we took in my opinion.

I have had major problems with nobles. the only house I have succeeded with is the bulls archbishop and prince. using the custom/easy/cheat page I turned every skill green and every trait green except mood and fame (also incudes all sex skills). I did this with two different slaves with all 3 nobles for serpentine. Still unacceptable and its always the last special condition message that I get. I swear I have never saved a rejection. So I would like some suggestions on what the problem is.
Serpentine is the only noble house i currently have access to so conflicts between the houses should not be an issue.

2 things:
-What's your slave's charm rating when you try to give her? did you wash her, makeup, body mods/tattoo her, dress her up appropriately?
-Is her aura developed enough, or does she still have fear, despair or spoil?

But honestly we lack detail on what you're trying to do and how. "turning stuff green" isn't everything. She could have every stat and skill green and still be an F+ rank slave because her obedience is negative.

both slaves are S+ with a myriad of obedience, no dispair, no spoiling, no fear, style is green, exotic is green, the rejection message is not charm. dressed in the gorgeous dress which was necessary to get style green. I meant it when I said everything is green except mood and fame. They are as perfect as I could make them.

If you give me a saved game and tell me who you’re trying to sell to, I can look into it. In general, the nobles are picky and some have special requirements such as age or virginity or “no perversions” that can rule out an S+ slave.

I really dont understand this game.
What is my Job? Am I a slaver? A resident that may own slaves?
Is there a way where a slave is actual good for something?

As for now my experience is:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

After 10 or 15 attemps I feel that this is probatly not how the game is ment to be played.
Landet here because someone told me that this is the best alternative for a Strive 4 Power addict until Strive Conquest is done.
But I see no story and have no idea how to play this thing.

Is there somone who already discovered, what to do in this game? I mean.. aside from buying slave to see them dying slowly?
Is there a spot where the story starts?

Have you read, went through, and completed the tutorial successfully first? Because if not, imagine starting Dark Souls without the help messages and the boss of the Undead Asylum.

The game starts to be very rewarding once you find your ways to have your sexy time and complete your training, but it requires some pedagogy.

So try the tutorial with Helen first and read through what is given to you. I also wrote a straightforward headstart guide here: https://f95zone.to/threads/jack-o-n...ntsman-community-development.390/post-4963455

About the scenario, you have no proper "scenario", with plot twists or cut scenes. But there's a compelling lore; we're still finding out new informations as a community. And we are also trying to expend on it.

It's all about gameplay. Currently, you have a goal: sell a slave to the pope. It's up to you to become a good slaver enough to even be able to approach him. (y)

Thank you for the advice.
The Tutorial was helping a little little bit.
And I made it. But the real game... dude..

Wake up -> Slave "Guilty [4]" -> Do something, doesnt matter. -> "She begs you to stop." -> Clean yourself! -> "No, I dont".

I think the problem lies much deeper then just me not understanding the psychologycal system you guys made up.
I thought this is another "Mr. Niceguy Simulator".. but even when you play the Charming bear, they refuse to do even the most simple task you can give.
But in a World, where nobody is interested if you alive or dead, they all proud, overbearing, princessess.

This is very time consuming.. failed about hundret times now. Tried every possible way..
Buy a Slave for 2000$ at the smuggler -> refuse to cook. -> after weaks of trial and error she suicidet her way out.
Buy a Slave for almost nothing at the Slave Auction -> see above
Accept a contract work -> This one was special.. she behave like all the others, do nothing, suffer throuh any hell but still wont do anything. But this one managed to Flee AND Suicide together in the same night.

I also tried all versions of "Prince Charming from Goodboy Castle", that leads to "Exctatic" mood, but just until you give them any task.
Always the same. They dont want to do it. You do.. whatever.. they still refuse to cook their own food or wash their own bodies.
At some point they dont have enough Stamina to make it through the day or even to wake up.
Butcher.

I am sorry for all the work you guys put into. But there is so much to do... a tutorial that explains all the city places.
A HUGE reduce of clickwork. 10000 Places to go and none has a describing name.
Most things you can do are not even have a description until you did it.
And some dont have a description at all .. and you will not even know what you just did (like buying a stethoscope).
And I personally dont know if it is necessary to have a quadrillion options what you want to do, just for a simple slave-trainer.
Like... "Why would I go in the fog to fight a beast that almost onehits me".
or "Why buying a 2000$ that dont even have a name but cause you massive trouble. Cost you 1000$ more until you can sell her .. when nobody give you more then 1000$ for a slave?!
Go to the forum and try to make up a price for her. The message "You need to see the results at home in silence" .. but at home.. I dont see a "Read all Biddings" button.
And the whole "Domestics" Menu. So much clicks for nothing else then questions.

I will check the game again at some point. But in the current shape it looks like it will just make sense for those who already play this since 2015 and the devs.
For a newbee, espeacially someone who is on the Strive4Power-Standard .. it just leaves questions over questions.

Have you read the headstart guide I gave you? Please do, then tell me if you still can't get passed the first obedience threshold.

If you did the tutorial, there's no reason for you to fail that much at the real game in theory ^^

If she feels 4 guilt when waking up, ask yourself why. I know why, and it's so obvious when you think about it ^^ But I don't want to spoil your gameplay, so find out, and you'll have resolved an issue.

Also, you seem to skip through text (we all do, don't worry): you didn't understand than cooking is not for her, it's for you exclusively. She eats pet food.

If you have a problem with slaves being proud, avoid taking a slave with high pride, and avoid spoiling them.

If you can bring a slave to ecstatitic mood, they are probably quite obedient enough to do most non-sexual tasks. Don't overfocus on cooking as if everybody loved that, some slaves would rather learn to kick your ass, some would rather learn something artistic or intellectual... So try to give them what they want so then you are able to start training and use them to the fact that they can get presents out of obedience. But of course that's just my type of gameplay, we've made sure that fear based obedience was possible to get (and it shouldn't be so hard or counter-intuitive to achieve). Just don't ask a handjob from a new-bought slave.

What do you care about a wall of text that'd explain you the city? It's nice as it is when you are lost and have to discover these places yourself. I really miss being a new player actually, I enjoyed the feeling of discovery.

Most thing you can do have tooltips, little gold triangles that gives you a little explanation, maybe you missed that.

Why the hell would you buy a 2000 slave is a good question that you have to ask yourself ^^ Buy a slave from somewhere else if you can't seem to make a profit out of these ones. But of course you can sell a slave for more than 1000$, if you have no idea how, you have just began the game ^^ You see, the slave as a general rank on her face, get her past a mediocre rating and you'll be able to make very good money out of it. But first focus on being fast enough to raise a D+ slave for your first clients.

I agree with the forum option that it's quite barebones, it should have a more "in your face result". But again, you're just discovering the game if you think that's the way to sell slaves... Try guild contracts, or try getting to people home and sell a slave to them!

Clearly you don't want a "simple" slave training game with jack-o-nine, but it isn't difficult for the sake of difficulty... But it's a game with a legacy, making it more appealing with beginners (which we have actually done) too much will remove the rewarding and charming aspect of it.

In the last resort, you can start a custom game in easy mode and still play as you would normally, maybe you'll find the difficulty more "natural" and intuitive? But I'd advise you first not to give up normal difficulty. In case you can't make it with all the good will in the world, you will send me your save and I'll show you step by step how I'd do to get obeyed or pass the obstacle that's giving you a headache

Well... yes. The question is not WHY she feel it. The question is, why she thinks that ending up at the butchers place is the better option. Because I very often stated that that is exactly what will happen. And I dont ask to empty my bladder. I ask for wash me and be my special alarm clock. See.. its not that I cant see WHY something happens. I dont see why noone cares about what I say.
I say: Wash me.
She say: No.
I say: I will kill you.
She crys and feels the terror..
I say: You wash me now?
She say: No.
And I am like:

So in Slavetown, where noone will judge me when I kill a slave, the slave rather like to die instead of washing me.
That does not makes any sense to me.

Also, you seem to skip through text (we all do, don't worry): you didn't understand than cooking is not for her, it's for you exclusively. She eats pet food.
ohhh.... THAT IS really something new for me.
I thought that all the options, how to nurish her, count for actual food. I didnt notice that I dehydrate pet food.
I give you that point XD

Well yes. Ecstatic Mood is not really a problem. You just need to let them life their lives.
But then you go bankurrupt in your little slavefactory.
If you want to sell this princess at some point, you need to make her things she dont like right? Like.. learn to speak like actual people and not like an hillbilly. Or learn to play the piano because your overall rating is D-Minor!
And as soon as I put her out of her confort zone, the problems begin. Because if she refuse to do anything, i need to react. And every reaction makes her laugh or terrorize her into oblivion. Which leads to a slave that is more a living puppet.

I you are a new player and looking for the doctor, you will spend around an hour before you find him. Because he is well hidden behind 20 menus.
And if you need him 30 min later again, you might have forgotten in witch menu he was hiding, and spend another 30 minutes to search him again.
What I would prefer is not a wall of text, that would never be something I will like. What I prefer would be a Town to explore, and a menu with the realy Important services at hand. Like a phone book. Exploring is fun, but you could have reduced the fun to residents and services that are not essential. Like the boutique, the slaver guild etc. If someone wants to explore, he can. If not, he is still able to play the game without hussle.

Why the hell would you buy a 2000 slave is a good question that you have to ask yourself ^^
Hehe.. because that is by far the first thing I saw in this game.
The overall gamedesign force me to buy a house in the city right? As a new player you dont know that and will start to play in the hut outside the town.
And what can you do there? Exactly: Moneylender, get yourself killed by the mighty fogfiend, step into smuggling slaves.
That the slave you recieve cost you more then a fortune and is not for beginners but for richt people, is something that you learn WAAAAAAAAY after you did this move 20x and fail to game over with your snobby 2000$ girl in your shithut outside the townwall. At this point of the learning curve you havent found the Real-Estate Vendor at menu 2030,2. Because you think: I dont need to watch whats going on in the city. Because I am nothing and to life there will be my first quest. So I have to earn money before they let me in. Its a feeling, I know. But the "Before you can life in the <insert betterplace here>, you need to proof <whatever the theme of the game is> first!" is a common gamedesign construct in Niche games, Indiegames and Triple A titles. So I think I will not be the last person that will try to play with the hut until a certain point is reached where you can move to nicetown.
Even to KNOW that there are... like 20 different ways to acquire a slave is something you would not know as new player. And mostly not expect.

Another thing that annoyed me is the wording.
Sometimes you have "Offer Slave for Sale" Button. Sometimes a "Offer Employee"
So I trained a slave to make money while working in the food-store and ... shes gone.
I thought she will go to work and make some money, but I actually sold her. All the work to make a very customized slave that, because of the already discussed problems, cost me way more money to drill her then the single-time trade gave me.
These are these little tiny things where I always stumble.

Nonetheless I see that you and your team are doing huuughe efforts to make a very special game.
And I really appreciate that. Thats a spirit which is rare here on F95.

You give her a rule to give you a blowjob every morning before getting her to willingly cook for you?

See.. its not that I cant see WHY something happens. I dont see why noone cares about what I say.
I say: Wash me.
She say: No.
I say: I will kill you.
She crys and feels the terror..

And I am like:

To be clear, in-game, bathing you equates to touching your cock and rubbing her body against you until you cum.

If she's not in a mindset where she'd agree to do anything sexual, she'll most likely not agree to wash you indeed.

Now about threats and punishments how effective do you want a death threat to be? You really think that it'd be realistic (or fun gameplay-wise) if one death threat guaranteed a blowjob? Because we considered it, and decided against it (imagine how it'd made the game trivial). And careful, we're not talking about a one time rape, we're talking about giving her the rule to come to your bed and suck you to wake you up.

You didn't read the tutorial well enough :Kappa:

No, you don't need to react. If she feels guilt, that's up to you to act how you want and it sometimes might be in your interest not to give a reward or not to give a punishment, or a reward/punishment that is less than what she expects. Moreover, I'd doubt that she refuses anything that get her out of her comfort zone; you probably gave her hell because she refused a morning blowjob that started the day on the wrong foot :KappaPride:

And every reaction makes her laugh or terrorize her into oblivion.
You are exaggerating, sir :Kappa:
------------------------------------------------------
Also, I never heard you talking about the aura. If you gave me a screenshot of the aura, and a screenshot of the refusal message for an action you think she should have agreed to (precise the name of the action you ordered also), we'd be able to discuss better (about game balance on one hand, and about what actions you could take as a player to circumvent the refusal).

I you are a new player and looking for the doctor, you will spend around an hour before you find him. Because he is well hidden behind 20 menus.
And if you need him 30 min later again, you might have forgotten in witch menu he was hiding, and spend another 30 minutes to search him again.

Bro this is bad faith ^^ It's not complicated to discover (and remember) that the doctor is in the technological quarter of Serpentine. You're the only user that had trouble finding him; I am a player like you, that discovered the game like you, and therefore I'm speaking of experience rather than to defend my work on the game.

We'd gladly make any improvement to the game but we can't tailor it in your interest specifically. And streamlining the game useless things is not a bad idea, but removing the boutique and the slaver guild because you as an individual player hasn't yet seen the interest in them, that's not a good idea.

About shortcuts and menus, I think the UI is too bloated as it is so it's not worth it. Why? Because in no time you'll know each location by heart, trust me.

The overall gamedesign force me to buy a house in the city right? As a new player you dont know that and will start to play in the hut outside the town.
You have a thousand clues that you need to buy an apartment in the city as a new player. We can hardly make it more obvious. Though it's also up to the player, a slum playthrough is possible.

So I think I will not be the last person that will try to play with the hut until a certain point is reached where you can move to nicetown.
You could also click on the empty slave face icon below the slaver face, and get teleported to the slave market.

I get what you mean however and I tend to agree with you... as a new player we tend to feel like clearing an area before seeing what the next one has to offer. And therefore we can get past most of the essential things. But any other solution would completely destroy the original world design, so I think it's nice enough that there are hints you should buy an appartment in town, so you see that each neighborhoods have seemingly important options.

I agree that the game is not beginner friendly. And it's easy to be lost or frustrated. We haven't had the genius game-design ideas to change that in a way that doesn't betray the game's legacy.

Another thing that annoyed me is the wording.
Sometimes you have "Offer Slave for Sale" Button. Sometimes a "Offer Employee"
So I trained a slave to make money while working in the food-store and ... shes gone.
Again, the solution would be to change "offer employee" to "offer slave". And to me, you're just incredibly unlucky in the way you interpret things ^^ I'll change that if I see a few more players doing this mistake.

Nonetheless I see that you and your team are doing huuughe efforts to make a very special game.
And I really appreciate that. Thats a spirit which is rare here on F95.
Thank you :) For the compliment and for giving your critique. Even though it might seem like I dismiss most of your points, it doesn't fall on deaf ears, and it will stay in the back of my head when doing future updated (y)

Unless you upgraded the style of the slave after you took the screen, that's probably the reason he's not buying her. It's on red in the screenshot, you'll need to get it to A. Salon trip is usually enough. Also, once you offer her with low style to him, he probably won't buy her even if you increase it.

---

My questions:

Do you need to do something specific to get your brand status to legendary, or is it just a grind? I know the required point number doubles with a lot of the other stuff, so I'm leaning towards the latter, but I've sold a ton of slaves since hitting A on it and I'm still on A. Do the quality of the slaves you sell affect how much brand status you gain? I've been mostly selling B+ slaves to clients and guild auction.

Guild auctions raise your Guild Reputation too, no? It hasn't been raising either.

Just checking so I'm not grinding in vain.

Either do it the natural way by casting the first spell (have it fizzle on purpose, it'll train you to magic). Then it'll unlock the next spell.

You can also buy a magic robe at the boutique and it'll raise your magic stat.
