Didn't know it was a leak before I played :/ I try not to read anything in case of spoilers when new updates are up. Anyway, since I played it, I'll write some of my thoughts. It was a solid update imo, especially that my fav girl Veronica has some nice chunk of content in it. I just love her dominant side, so I was happy with the finale, though I hoped she'll use her collar on MC. Well, maybe next time... I wouldn't mind if she'd be more rough on him in the future too btw. I still like Hana a lot too and her scenes were pretty fun and nicely written, though - on personal note - I think I should stop pursuing her and Veronica simultaneously, and focus on being only friend to Hana, cause I wouldn't want to hurt her later. The general story development wasn't big this time around, but I really like that we know more about the girls now, especially in case of Rosalind I really felt for her, so it will be (slightly) harder for me to sabotage her and help Veronica win the prize (and ultimately destroy the club, if that option is planned). But speaking about Rosalind, I didn't like the unavoidable blowjob scene; I mean it's not that big of a deal and it rather works well in terms of plot, but I never felt forced to participate in any sexual activity before [minus watching or doing smaller stuff like this leg licking moment with Veronica]. I felt forced into one now, and I didn't like it tbh, especially since I find Rosalind the least attractive from the whole cast. Also, maybe I missed smth ,but there wasn't any references to great movies this time around? I guess the film MC and Hana were watching is not based on real film?

I was thinking that one advantage of the leak might be that by the time the release rolls around the walkthrough will be updated so can jump straight in (well once some nice soul compresses it but folks tend to be real speedy about that)... but it's already been updated somehow, so I guess a headstart wasn't really needed there.

I give Zoey an advance copy to make the walkthrough and it's always updated for the early release.

TD1900 Do you guys have any plans to update RenPy at any point?
Ren'Py 7.3.5.606 apparently ships with a buggy python os module wherein os.isdir incorrectly returns true for some files on network shares.
Nothing that can't be easily fixed by a little hack to loader.py but I thought I'd ask. Having to mod the engine on every release is a little tedious.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. All the 5-star games here have their strengths, but the writing in this is just unmatched. If this had DAZ stoper-quality renders it would fucking print money, but the writing even manages to make HoneySelect hot as shit.

It's in the absolute top tier with those models too though and somehow far exceeds the engine itself in quality.

Just a quick question; I've been working off of the PDF walkthrough. Is that preferable to the mod, or not? I've been resisting using walkthrough mods because I'm concerned they might sometimes clash with the game itself.

Keep in mind though, if you do decide to update to the newest version, you will probably get some moaning from some people.
The newest version does not like 15 year old potato pcs.
If you don't actually NEED any of the new features you might actually want to hold off, or at least read up on the caveats before pulling the trigger.
Personally, I can work around the bug in the old version, so it's not a deal breaker and I haven't really heard anyone else complaining. (Guess nobody else plays directly off a NAS)

Just wanted to add, I'm actually quite happy to see a DSLR with a camera grip extension in the photoshoot scene. I don't know if that was deliberate or not, but I previously spent many years playing around with those things as a hobby, so it's nice to see that sort of attention to detail.

Saying that, it could also have just been a stock piece in the scene creation tablet, and might've been the only one available, so I could be blowing smoke up somebody's butt...

The mod is no longer being worked on by Oscar. Last update someone else updated it, but I have no contact with him about that. The PDF walkthrough is your most reliable bet.

Are you not on the Hana, Rosalind, AND Veronica route? Even then, the update should last you longer than five minutes since the park and gym photo shoots are mandatory.

Are you using an out to date mod that didn't remove the click-to-continue screen at the end of the Week2 script?

Question; is there a necessary feature to have Veronica 'pent up?' I'm going through that section now, and the walkthrough makes mention of it. Just, I've already been trying to increase her horniness so I'm already out of the scale...

I played the new update, since I have a rather full week next week, otherwise I would have waited for the public release.

Absolutely great update, it simply is a must play game!
As I and many others wrote before, the artwork is just super, getting out everything HS/AiS is capable of. You see what is possible with Studio Neo, if you know what you do. And Gil obviously knows it! Top work!
And the writing is top notch as well, even I as a non-native English speaker can see that. Very good characters with variations and some surprises, as I mentioned before. Following different paths really feels different and there are hints to some events built in.

Quite a number of shout-outs in the game too. In the current update, Rosalind, Veronika and Hana are in the focus. The formers, while not in my sights, definitely grow on you, if you choose "right" in their arcs.

Mina is not much in this update, for known reasons, but her last two sentences are a fraking great cliffhanger! Arrggghh, now waiting for the next update (and replaying other paths)!

I think I found a wrting error. When the MC looks at the sleeping Hana directly in the new update, she wakes and says"What are looking at?Are you watching me sleep, weirdo?" If I didn´t run into some slang use, I as a non-native speaker do not know about, there is a "you" missing for "What are you looking at".

I think you do not need to haste to update Ren´py to the newer version. While my Computer can stomach the new version, many older "compis" have problems with the new Ren´py and from what I have read in several threads, this new version seems to have quite some bugs. So as long as you do not need some features from this new Ren´py version, staying with the old one is no problem.

Wish you well and that Pale Carnations gets known a lot more in the future! I will definitely continue to spread word (as surely will others)! You and Gil deliver top notch work and a really great eroge, thumbs up!

Chummer, the update has about 1,700 renders and nearly 100 animations, it is not just five minutes of play as some other games here on F95! Hope this helps.

My Ch3Up1 Saves Break when I try to Load them on Ch3Up2, when I Click Ignore it resets the Game to the beginning.
