Because posting a sneek peek and wallpaper every month is considered "communicating"
While this looks great and all.
Could someone give me an idea of how much it a doormat the mc will be in the love paths?
I prefer those paths to the alternatives. However, as someone who owns his own house, the amount of groveling, simping and just putting up with stupidity in the first maybe 4 minutes was terrifying and worrying.
The graphics are amazing! But I seriously don't do non self-respecting doormat behavior (ain't the right grammar but my mind is currently in lala land).

Surely, but we would need to understand if he is willing to continue to complete the game or is just trying to make money out of it.At least I'm glad that he's alive.

People involved in the development of such games are excellent specialists working in large companies, and receiving a lot of money. The development of games of the XXX category, for them it is just entertainment, recreation, and the money they receive from sponsors, do not stimulate them in any way, so they are relatively small. The promotion of their games often depends on their desire or on a large amount of free time.

Totally irrelevant in this case. TTLL, himself, repeated in this same thread, a lot of times, that he was a slow worker. Use the search button if you don't believe me. He never mentioned anything about having a real job or being a student. Desire or free time got nothing to do with this. At this point, it's just pure milking. Nothing else. Update should have come out on February 2021, this year. We are now in September. Almost 7 long months have passed and not once, did he talk about the progress of the game.
No estimation, no progress %, not a single hint about the storyline, nothing. Nada. Just wallpapers and polls about wallpapers. Watch this thread from the very start. The oldest players, me included, were always patient, always defending him, always comprehensive. This is not free bashing. This is pure anger and disappointment towards a Dev in whom I believed and who didn't play the honesty/transparency card.

His discord is like a cemetery. Even his patron doesn't receive any information from him. Total radio silence. This should be tagged abandoned a long time ago.

Kakato, about milking. The money he gets from Patreon is scanty. Maybe they are significant for his country, but if I received the same amount, I would die of hunger within a month. This means that he has a good source of income (work, or inheritance, other options), especially since he is Russian, and for Russians, as far as I know, money is not the main thing in life.
Now about the situation as a whole. This is Patreon's policy, they get their decent percentage for providing a platform. And while the money is coming in, it makes no sense for them to react particularly. Now about the sponsors. I understand their indignation, and I agree in many ways. But sometimes they also have to think with their heads. If it is clear that the author does not fulfill his obligations, why pay money? Yes, the money is not big, but why encourage idlers? I have unsubscribed from 12 authors over the past few years, and I have no complaints about them anymore, because I don't pay them. Do the same, and you will feel both financial and moral relief.
Not going go through 100 posts, but how does this not have an abandoned tag?

In short: Dev is still active on social media selling special renders 'n stuff. F95 rules say that he has to have abandoned the game completely and by making new art for +100$ patreons every once in a while the game gets no abandoned tag.

As good fellow Kakato just said above, we can clearly see how ttll stopped patreon pledges when he didn't feel like making considerable progress or stop working consistently on it, like actually good willed and money-detached devs do.
Even Primal Instinct/Heir Apparent dev SilkandMilkProductions had at least the decency of stopping the pledges when he said he wasn't gonna work on it because of the low amount of pedges.
This is fair and squared a dev like many others who is trying as desperately as he can to milk the system up until serious and effective countermeasures against this type of milking will be deployed and then will have no choice but provide actual substance.
