P.S.: I liked first episode, but.. i know, people not a clones, but i hope you create FutaMainCharacter not only for active role, maybe optional, but some people need playing for character for passive role (i like control female/futa characters for slut path). ^^
And about passive role of futaMC, yes of course! There is no "slut route" planned in the game, but passive sex scenes are always a breath of fresh air, so of course :FeelsGoodMan:

Your characters and scenarios are amazing and just the thing missing from the overall futa game scene.I was considering pledging but with the way you acted with Holy Slaves I think's it's pretty understandable why people would never trust you with their money again.I loved the prospect of Holy Slaves but since it's obvious that you hate working on it you should just abandon it and work on the new game.Just remember that fucking with people's money and patience will never get you anywhere plus you should never start something you can't finish,I think that you should release the first few editions of the game for completely free like you did with the first episode of Holy Slaves and maybe charge for updates after that.
As for the people saying that the money the patreon made was nothing maybe you should consider that things in different countries and living costs were different,I know for a fact that in other countries (including mine) that money would be more than enough to pay a month's rent and food,and since the creator obviously does not speak english as a first language we don't know her living conditions and how she spent that money.For all we know she could be living in luxury.Anyway the point isn't that she's rich or something,it's that no matter the amount she still took money for minimal to no work.

I own my mistakes, and I know that I fucked up big, I think it's clear from my patreon post that I linked here. This was a hard decision to make, and to especially, announce it. I'm good with people don't wanting to trust me, and I respect it. I hope that at least my new game will be good enough for them to at least discuss it.
Also, I'm from same type of country that you are, and most of this money went to pay college loan and buying food, so don't assume please.
But I don't really agreeing you with all "you should never start something you can't finish". This was my first project, and there were clear mistakes in making of HS. I was genuinly thinking that I want and will finish it.
Also, thank you for your fair criticism, I know that this situation deserves it, and there is need for some clear-headed backlash.

Well too bad it's discontinued, I just found it literally minutes ago haha, futanari is probably my most non-vanilla kink and is a rare one to see in games of any real quality. Hopefully your next project works out, although I still have yet to actually play this one much the renders I've seen in this thread look of good quality. I am curious if there will be any romantic paths in the game? As rare as futanari is it's even rarer to find futa romance, as nearly all futa games are extremely hedonistic. Definitely not a deal breaker if it's not, just curious.
Hopefully it works out and hopefully mentally you're doing OK, I had a mental breakdown due to depression several years ago and dropped out of college and lost my relationship of five years and thought my life was over, but I slowly picked up the pieces and just now in the last year or two I've really started to feel like I'm back on track, you have to make sure you put in the effort even when (especially when) it seems nearly impossible to do so.

No need to harp on the backlash, fault and mistakes have been admitted, and the resulting feelings of some folks going forward are understood. That being said, @ALISHIA I think there a few things you can take and build on from this experience.
1) You have some beautiful work and it is in a very under-served genre. The futa games are pretty few and far between, especially ones that have great visual artwork. The fact that so many people immediately took to Holy Slaves and consequently are disappointed in the outcome is evidence of that. You have the foundation to be very successful.
2) Your plan to release at least solid start to your new project The Red Room before funding it is good. I would suggest that for at least the beginning, use the Patreon per update model instead of monthly to rebuild trust with those that may support you.
3) The per update model will also reduce the pressure on yourself to have monthly content. Which if you fall behind, and that is something that could be very likely with school, you won't fall back into an overwhelmed state and go dark again.
4) Most Patreon supporters are actually very forgiving, if you communicate. It's the silence that starts getting to most folks. I hope you picked up on this from this experience, and with your next project you keep the communication open when the inevitable delays and other stuff comes up.
5) The Red Room stuff looks great so far and as mentioned in point 1, you can be very successful if you take to heart your experience on Holy Slaves and avoid the mistakes.
While I'm sad to see Holy Slaves unfinished, I look forward to The Red Room as well as a wiser, productive, and hopefully happier Dev.

Thank you for this post! I've already considered most of what you've written here, and I think you are right on many issues, especially on silence and communication.
I will think about per update model, but at least before releasing there will be no charging or anything.

Hyped for the new project... but man, another Futa games that gets abandoned. And here I was hoping for this one because it was so amazing. Before Futanari Quest (although it's coming out on Steam, probably will be a really bad game compared to its premises), now this :FeelsBadMan:
This game was great and I was looking forward to time with the cute roommate. But now that it's dead I no longer have any reason to come back as I have no interest in any game inspired by Eric's adventure which is what I started calling BB as everything was rigged around them.
I think that any setting can fit futanari, what matters is execution.
I don't know for sure, because futa characters are essential part of the story, there will be maybe 1 or 2 forced scenes with futa on futa and the rest will be optional. But I can't say sure for now, maybe every futa on futa content will even be fully optional.
You are fully right on this problem BUT. It was a problem even with HS and any other game. Non-sexual renders are inevitable.
Basis is already written, yes (if you can call it basis, because it's a "sandboxy game", but with a story hook). But many characters are not fully written for now, and those who are written require some polishing work.

I can fully appreciate your opinion on this, and I don't want to be a dick, but I think I will do better in this regard than BB (because there will be no "Eric rendition" in this game). Just try it when it will come out, and see for yourself, and if it will suck, just forget about the game, that's fully understandable.

I do not really know what kind of new game The red room is, but I'm really disappointed that Holy Slaves is abandoned. Because it's very rare a game (although there is a niche audience) that uses the futanari / yuri genre without any male. In addition, the strong point of the Holy Slaves that made it exceptional in my eyes (besides the originality of the universe) is to have an incestuous mother-daughter relationship as a central plot. And incest + futanari is the best !
It seems to me that I must not be the only one who can not stand the presence of a male in sex scenes. The gender of yuri and even more of futanari (which offers better possibilities) should make up for this.
I hope that the new project will not be based on the sum of the current games, all of which are similar in their blandness.

Well, "futanari / yuri genre without any male" is the main focus of a new game, so you don't need to worry about this! About this "strong point". Patreon is hard about those things right now, so on patreon territory there will no be any incest. But I can ASSURE you that *someone far away from patreon* is going to add something I'm not okay with and what I don't approve.
Well, I lied to you. There will be at least one male, but he will be a trap, and his content will also be optional. So I don't think that you will have any problem with this.
