Did the overview for this game change?
nope still the same ideas, and characters but done with more of an ark rather than giving all away at once

im also toying with dramatic lighting which the main screen will serve as a clue,
i want each update to be left with what can happen next

its a visual clue to things that are coning in the game, as on next update im on 60 renders and counting.....
and the old main screen was kinda misleading as we haven't reached that part of the story...
but ive decided that there has to be a little more drama and a little less talking
coz typing a script is much easier that way

also there will be game sounds and music added when this chapter is completed

and as my skills improve theere will be drastic changes to thingss till im happy with all the asthetics

Thats an interesting thing, about how much talking has to be in a game. It really is an art to figure out the right amount. The right amount is what makes the drama. Experiment :)

i totally agree, i think certain things can be said with a look, and where i have a game where the plot confuses even me at times i have to simplyfy a bit , so my draft script simply is char a meets char b, char b has shit tonnes of exposition (f**k typing) so char a gets bored so char b just shows char a what they mean lol

Once again this is something that is divisive. I for one love to read a good dialogue, love to read inner monologues, get to know the character better because thats what i find compelling in a character, that i can understand his or her personality, motivations, fears, hopes, flaws and merits. While others hate this. Another thing you have maneuver yourself around.

But this is a visual novel and novels are all about writings. In case of a VN the writing is still very important so i for one encourage you to write a lot, make the characters talk a lot. Its not about narration, its about dialogues and monologues thats really important. Those who don't like that.. i use to tell them, there is the skip option.

But i do know that sometimes its too much of the talking. I actually did drop a game due to too much pointless chatter. If you are interested to hear an example of subjective nature, since it reflect my personal preference, than here it is:
There is a scene in Babysitter where we witness two girls having a chat. So absurdly long chat that even holding down the skip option it took quite a while to get over it. It almost consisted more chatter that single scene than what we used to see in complete games around here. I actually dropped the VN then and there.
And there is My Sweet Neighbour where we can follow the inner thoughts of our neighbour's daughter which is just the perfect amount. Usually after every action or chat she has we see an inner monologue of a few lines but it works perfectly showing us the fears and concerns of the girl, the hidden jelousy, growing desire and how her courage builds up.

I cant think like a women so i don't try LOP is the only one i tried and putting on make up is not for me but each to their own.

i whole-heartedly agree i honestly think too much of anything can take away, as this is still in its early phases im re-writing loads improving renders, think it looks epic then i change one thing then think ohhh crap that dont match anything, so now all inner thoughts are no more than one line as mc will know what they mean and if its exposition and its hard to explain ill just show players

not entirely sure what you mean by lop, but you dont imagine yourself as this mc as you aint trying to be her you are experiencing things with her and making things happen to her.....

Just give her a tire iron, this bat isn't really working. But on the other hand it can be used for funny moments! I mean a guy could find it good for a laugh, such a silly looking blocky bat.. but when its applied into his face all of a sudden he'll probably realize that shape doesn't matter that much as it wasn't ment to hit balls... ohwait:coldsweat:
