Originally, I was going to make my game a Sandbox.
But after talking about it with a few people, I realised it'd be a mistake, especially with the story of my game.
In my opinion, it's hard to make you feel some emotions or feelings towards characters in a sandbox game, and a regular VN format fits my game best.
So, yup, no sandbox planned.

yeah I don't know what it is
maybe it's because I can't read or because I have a horrible sense of direction but free roaming segments is so tedious and hard for me
it's one of the reason why I don't like playing being a dick multiple times because when I think about all the free roaming sections I Cry
especially if you're like me and you don't like
to cheat on anyone and you love monogamy
so in order to be faithful to each girl
you make a save file for each girl
but that means you have to play the free roam section each and every time
I think it's the worst part is where you have to talk to everybody
in the free roam
no the worst part is Tybalt mansion
and I don't know anything about development
somebody once told me that sandbox
can increase the amount of time between updates

I don't think I have played a VN where the sandboxing enhanced the story; at best, it was arbitrary.
To me it makes sense, if there's unlockable content, like repeatable scenes. It's more fun than a simple gallery, because the scenes aren't devoid of context. It works quite well in the game Desert Stalker imo.
But it doesn't fit into every game. The Entrepreneur isn't an over-the-top "gotta catch'em all" story, so a sandbox section for booty calls would be a heavy mood swing that could cause whiplash for the reader.

Just finished EPII. I really liked the new chapter of the game, here we have a cool event at the spa (God how I miss Sleeping Dogs, I was really looking forward to the cool Hong Kong showdown at this point (hope they will be in future )
Great dialogue between girlfriends in the coffee shop. Simply awesome
Paige: I mean, you skipped all the steps, no flirting, no kissing...
Laura: No getting drunk and being toochy-feely with each other, but it's OK because you can just blame it on the alcohol.
Paige: Yeah, that too. Straight to the "look at me in my sexy lingerie".
Laura: Gooood! Why did I do that?
The only thing I didn't like was this ex-boyfriend Sam. Why does the guy that such a beautiful girl chose look like a total sucker?
No, seriously, I get that the main character is supposed to be on top of everything, but not to that extent! Can you at least one game make the character's environment more attractive or at least on his level?

Never played Desert Stalker, so I'll take your word for it. The sandbox could be used for environmental storytelling, if you want that level of detail in an adult VN: something like the Deus Ex games where the environments are relatively small, but they are cluttered with detail and immersion.
